  1. Lol I'm still ticked off about that game. Oughta be 4-0 but instead 2-2 cause they can't "FINISH".
  2. No disrespect intended cause you may very well be correct but conditioning in practice with your brothers and your own teammates doesn't quite compare to playing 4 full qts of a game if an opponent is pushing you to your limit. Not at all saying Huntington isn't capable . Just saying they haven't had to all year. Granted they may not have to until Wayne co. I'm just saying its a little different than practice .
  3. Lol well one things certain . I love your enthusiasm . I hope your wrong both for HC 's pride and for Huntingtons growth from a stamina point looking at the playoffs. I could see where it would be difficult to go toe to toe with teams as equally talented as you for 4 qts when u haven't had to play a full 4 qt's all year. Best of luck to both teams . Furthermore and most importantly hope that both teams come out of this game with their health intact .
  4. I agree that HC has had the benefit of playing either sub par teams or just teams with difficult schedules . That being said the stat goes both ways. Huntingtons Opponents Camden 2-4 Collinwood 2-3 Milan 3-3 Perry 0-5 Mckenzie 3-3 Overall 10-18 Again let me clarify so this isn't taken out of context . I've seen the film on each team . HC will have to have there very best to even compete with this Huntington team. Huntington is very good all the way around. Great coaching, great athletes , and GREAT. Size. That being said I don't think the records of either teams opponents credit or discredit what they have done thus far . They are both 5-0 for a reason . Each team has its own flaws and positive points otherwise they wouldn't be 5-0. I look for it to be a tough , physical game. If HC can compete with Hubtington in the trenches it will be an interesting game. If they can't then Huntington will keep rolling.
  5. Lol. Don't get all upset and immature on me. Im not trying to get into a back and forth drama filled forum like you guys and Mckenizie did. Im not so naive to think that HC is a favorite to beat Huntington. Huntington is a very well coached , very physical, and athletic team. I'm simply saying although outmatched by Huntington I believe HC will play till the end of the 4 th qt with heart and keep hitting. Yall may have gotten the best game thus far from Mckenzie but I think HC with be the most physical team Huntington has faced. Everyone else HC has played has had the same outlook as Huntington fans so far, already counting out another 5-0 team before you ever even start the game. Just saying be careful doing that with this team. Everyone else has and came out on the wrong side of the scoreboard.
  6. Just gonna say this . Due to HC's last two years looming over them everyone on these forums everybody the last 5 weeks have underestimated them and expected them lose. Granted one could look at their schedule and say they haven't played a team like Huntington and they would be correct . However, that said maybe Huntington hasnt played an old school team quite like HC this year either. HC doesn't match up well with Huntington but in all honesty , who does? Just saying be easy counting that squad out, they have grit. Collinwood wasn't a game after the first half with neither Huntington nor HC. I do believe this is the first team Huntington will play that will still be hitting them in the mouth in the 4 th qt regardless of the score. I've seen first hand that squad doesn't quit, HC has a grit about them . Should be interesting.
  7. Maybe not I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt since Wavo is young. No doubt Wavo is the better team but when there is not a lot of upperclassmen on the team mental mistakes tend to happen more often than not. That being said I still think the Tigers breeze through this one .
  8. WC is gonna obviously be a tough match up for HC. It will be interesting to see how they do against them the week after facing Huntington.
  9. Waverly scores 40 + in this one and wins by 2 TD's or more.
  10. I Will however agree after talking to some of HC's coaches Collinwood was by far the most physical team they have played yet. To hear it told #5 is The Wood's pride and joy and according to the HC staff he's an extremely hard runner with the football in his hands. They also said he wasn't the only hard runner that it seemed like all their backs were tough to bring down. Im not sure exactly what started the uproar due to cuts in the film but I do know that one of Hc's assistant coaches said Collinwood's head coach was a class act individual. That he was very apologetic for a couple of his kids actions while shaking hands after the game so who knows. Very PHYSICAL game. Tensions were high and things got a little out of hand. Again according to the film you are right seems like their were some missed calls and maybe some botched calls for both teams from that officiating crew. Seemed like there was an exchange of words midway through the second quarter. Had the ref's taken care of it then, there might not have been an outburst later in the game. It is what it is I guess. Maybe that crew will get it together. I hope so anyway for the next two teams sake.
  11. Ok, Mirrior Thief, I will grant you one thing Collinwood's Kickoff team ( not the entire special teams) play was sub par but so was Houston County's. HC had two kick off returns for touchdowns and CWood had one as well. CWood's return and two offensive TD's with 3 failed 2 point conversions was their total 18 points for the night.Secondly, You stated that HC had several good punt returns as well. That's incorrect. HC only fielded and returned ONE punt and it was by number 15 I believe and he had about a 30 yard return, However, it was not for a touchdown an Woods other punts were directional punts or coverage punts that didn't permit any return. I'm all about being honest and giving credit where credit is due. I'm by no means saying HC can compete or beat Huntington or Wayne because I know very little about any of the three teams. With that said from the film I got from the game HC had 14 points from special teams. If that's the only way HC won the game then where did the other 28 points come from that HC put up???? Take those 14 points away and HC still wins a close one 28-18. This win for HC came from Collinwoods inability to stop HC's run. After the half HC came out up 21-12 and pounded Collinwood into submission. HC simply wanted it more. Whether they will compete with the two powerhouses in the division is left to be seen but give them credit Hc won that game from their will to win plain and simple. They gave up just as many bad plays to Collinwood as Collinwood did them as HC's defense faulted times with Lockley #5 they just didn't quit where Collinwood lost their cool and quit fighting
  12. All I'm saying about Collinwood was after seeing the scores from their previous game against a below average Cornersville team and then seeing the blowout against Huntington I was'nt real sure on what to expect from this particular match up. After seeing the way Collinwood played the first half of the game I was more impressed with their grit than I had expected. Before HC wore them down it was a game the entire first half. HC 's endurance and depth and runningback really helped them wear down the Collinwood defense which ultimately secured their win. Also, Wildcat #2 I too am eager to see HC and Bruceton. From what I've seen from Bruceton they live and die with #49's production offensively. Rumor has it that kid is legit but that's all they have. Not sure of the accuracy in that assumption but it should lead to a better match up than years past between those two teams. I believe Bruceton has taken care of HC the last two years fairly easy.
  13. Yea I believe they got a new head coach in 2011 and went to the playoffs his first two years. That was the end of a 25-30 game losing streak for that school. Since then they've been like most rural county schools they have a good year or two every few years. Schedule plays a big part in it I would imagine but from what I hear this year they are a gritty hard nose team. From earlier posts read collinwood was a gritty team as well and they handled them fairly easy from the 3 rd qt on. According to the score anyway.
  14. Houston County looked good against Collinwood considering. They started slow which is kind of their M.O but got it together once they seen Collinwood's ability to run the football and realized they were as physical as them. There is good football in Collinwood's future for sure. Interested to see if HC can keep it a game against Huntington in week 7. If HC is down by 14 or less in the 4th it will be something for them to be proud of.
  15. If Houston County can shut down Dunn and Davis i think they will come out with a win . I think Houston county will be able to control the boards with returning starters at 6'2,6'3,and 6'4.However, if houston does not establish the inside game before going outside to their main shooter jonathan bell i think it will be a long night . The irish have converted from a slower moving team to fast pace up and down the floor kind of team and that should help them against the indians. Also the indians try and run a man-to-man defense and they dont have the speed nor the quickness to run it effectively. I say the irish pull this one out by atleast 15 points.
