  1. So, till tourney time do i have to listen to your prediction?....HUH....when tourney comes around you can chime in on me whenever you want, but this is not tourney, it is an everyday board. I will take ARCHIE.....FRHS.....
  2. so....what's your point? Once again, I believe D2's MVP goes to Kristen Archie....that is my vote, and at the very least, it is a very good one.
  3. When she was hurt her team lost by it's biggest margin of the year(at ECS). Against her team's top rival(HH), she was by far the leading scorer. Both of the aforementioned opponents are (highly arguably) regarded as better teams than her's. Besides the aformentioned, her team has only lost against top level powerhouses from Georgia and Alabama and a fine AAA team from Tennessee (Oakland) in her first game back from injury (the game was tight throughout). She is known as a player who "roams" the court. SHE IS A PLAYER. To this point of the season, she is MVP in my opinion. (I think the "rest" of her team rocks too)!!!!! 4. Saturday had the makings for mba to drive their suv's and honk in jubilation for another victory over their not so liked rival. Although cold, it was a gloriously sunny afternoon. There would be no honking however (unless it was in frustration amongst themselves). Father Ryan, who began the season ranked behind mba, kicked mba out of their own gym and got rewarded with a plaque that is distributed only annually. mba must wait another year to claim it back, which I believe no one believes they will. Father Ryan kicked mba's butt....the all time record with these teams is probably 2 to 1 or much more in FATHER RYAN'S favor...once again, Father Ryan wresteler's kicked mba's butt on saturday. mba is not in the same league when discussing region or state championships. I hear you breathing Simpson kid....however Hiller is the only kid in the state to be successful against one of your kind. Don't take it personal, Hiller is built from the best....his father was an incredible boxer....FRHS will win again over mba in one way or fashon, and let's get it straight, mba was ranked in front of Father Ryan to begin the season...mba is the favorite to win this weekend in Clarksville and 2 weeks later....as Dana Carvey from SNL put it when immitating Bush Sr. : "Not gonna do it, would'nt be pruddent." GO IRISH...mba, well that say's it all. [Edited by frhsrules on 1-27-03 1:44A]
  5. I was at BGA the other night for the FRHS game. The campus is beautiful and everyone was friendly. I'm just here to give support to both BGA and Downs in their quest for happiness....come on now, ya'll can say it, GOOOOOO IRISH
  6. D2 MVP should go to PILKERTON/ARCHIE......Co-MVP, FRHS (with a great support group among them).....go Lady Irish
  7. Way to go Irish for beating MBA soundly this afternoon. [Edited by frhsrules on 1-25-03 9:39P]
  8. Did Hiller beat Simpson?.....Can anyone elaborate on the match?
  9. I wasn't paying enough attention when I read your post "wolfboy" (hope you don't rep' the Raliegh Pack' cause' I like them), but it is quite obvious that you are not a team member of Ezell, only a fan. Your last post had enough grammatical errors to embarrass the entire basketball team at Ezell Harding. If we don't watch out, CBS, NBC, and the rest of the crew will be doing "another" special on Tennessee Illiteracy due to your incompetence. Go Ezell Harding girls, I'm sure the intelligent ones about you realize HH is a very very fine team. I've seen pictures of many Ezell girls....stay cool.... judging from the aforementioned pictures, staying cool seems to fit your mold....GO IRISH [Edited by frhsrules on 1-24-03 3:29A]
  10. FRHS traditionally wresteles their jv before regions and states....they did so again in this case. Yes, they had a few starters in, but they traditionally do that as well. I think Hillsboro should still get credit for the win b/c you know FRHS would have loved to win with their JV....but they did not, and from the results HB kicked their butt for the most part. Yes, I pull for FRHS and I defend FRHS, but Kudos go to those that deserve.....FRHS is a wresteling "powerhouse" in TN. HB kicked that powerhouses' JV's "BOOTAY". I wish FRHS beat you, but you kicked our ---
  11. GO FRHS, for you girl's on the V-ball team, congrats on making FRHS very proud. To you awesome B-Ball "Player-haters", play to win, and if you lose thank GOD you had the opportunity (while millions die)...GO Irish, don't say this too loud but I believe it is the FRHS GIRL'S that truly lead FRHS....(oh well, I guess I better not show up at the Ryan MBA wresteling match on saturday........naaahhhh.....I'll be there (win or lose)...GO IRISH [Edited by frhsrules on 1-24-03 3:36A]
  12. I hope you win because I for some strange reason like Ezell. I was raised in west Nashville most my life, but my family spent some time in Hermitage and Donnelson, where I befriended some Ezell people. But mabey it's more because I have seen the accomplishments of the Ezell girl's teams kick bootay... Yeah, I must admit, I would love to get to meet you and your teamates for just a minute or so when I congratulate you for a State Title....I know you will do it....best wishes to EZELL HARDING.....tough and smart girls...When you win I will give your team a (Mc) cool present....PROMISE....NOW GO WIN
  13. Hey Ezell, you seem to be a very fine team, and your softball team is second only to perhaps...the Yankees....but judging from the score, you girl's got your bootay's kicked. I'd love to hear an update on this messy mess that occured in the Green Hills, Forrest Hills, Belle Meade area. Oh and congrats to those ever competive HH-B's, I'm beginning to wish FRHS could transfer to D1(uh....somewhat kidding). [Edited by frhsrules on 1-21-03 11:48P]
  14. Oh for goodness sakes Ole Times, I can not help but respect you at the very least. Harpeth Hall's days of Magaret Martin's and Meg Fox's have changed to a new, young and potentially very talented breed. Sure, sure, sure......HH was a very cometitive team statewide 3 or 4 years back, but after losing a very fine Becky B last year, and responding so well this season with such young T.....it does'nt take me long to realize HH may take this thing to a different level quite soon (mabey 2003). And yes, I think the Lady Irish rock. Many people forget they lost one of the best players in D2 last year to begin the season, otherwise, I'm thinking Jada and Co. may have had the runnerup trophy. Speaking of Jada and Co. (in this case I'll refer to Co. as rival ECS).......I have this ominous feeling about Memphis "Momentum" as this season begins to peak.......sectionals and state should be very interesting...with no disrespect, at this point to Harding, Hutchison, Webb and perhaps one more.
  15. Yeah, I was just watching CNN, when they did a special on the homeless dying children around the world. It made me think of what your girl's had to endure at that vicious FRHS vs. HH game.....I hope you were able to get your girls home safe......hey.....can I borrow your HAPPY DAYS and Osmonds' greatest hit's collections.....this snow has really got me bored. [Edited by frhsrules on 1-20-03 1:24A]
  16. Your right (MR. or Mrs.) Ole times. Times have changed. When I was in high school, FRHS was still developing girl's sports since it was an all male school years before (and we always lost to Harpeth Hall in basketball and volleyball). By the time I was really partying in college (early 90's)....I began to hear of Irish success in the women's field. When I finally came home (1998)....I found myself in love with the fact that FRHS was very well represented by the GIRLS, not just Irish football and wresteling which I grew up on and enjoyed the success of both programs statewide. But since I came home....HH and FRHS have had many great battles.....FRHS has won all of the region title games vs. HH in both basketball and volleyball (5 years in both). I know Chip Fridrich, he did very well, and HH in my opinion is SO GOOD....but I really think FRHS' teams from the past and future DESERVE so much more credit for what they have done in this heated rivalry than what you are giving them ( Harpeth Hall has destroyed many good local teams in basketball and volleyball over the last FIVE years, yet the LADY IRISH have beaten them for the REGION PLAQUE every one of those FIVE YEARS)....Also, when I brought up HH's gym during my posts about the game vs. Ryan, I did not do that as a "crutch", fact is HH has an awesome gym to play in. If Duke were playing Carolina at home, do you think any of the announcers would mention Cameron's noise level as a factor?......Uh......probably only 20-50 times......let's face it Ole Times .....we are just announcers and analysts, enjoying the game.....GO IRISH.....win or lose against HH you have class and spirit, I hope you get along well with HH and all the teams you play....YOU GIRLS' ROCK....YOU HAVE DONE SO WELL...FRHS RULES [Edited by frhsrules on 1-19-03 11:21P] [Edited by frhsrules on 1-21-03 12:17A]
  17. Your right, BA has improved already....I am quite sure they are very dissapointed in last night's results. Frhs is THE team in D2....I think the girls can become DOMINANT by tourney time, they just have to put their minds to it......I think the coaches should too.....
  18. When I sounded off, I did not have any facts except my speculation, which is decent at worst. As far as the state polls.....I can not give them much respect when they rank Webb in girl's b-ball ahead of many teams that could clean the marrow out of their bones. So....I'll take D2's top 7 against D 1's top 12....and D 2 will roll up points in a tourney......But I guess it comes down to this, because of the split, D2 has very few competitive teams. The teams, however, are elite, by high school standards. Let's face it: year in and year out, the top 5 D2 vs. the top 5 D1 results in a rout.....ROUT......I know about wresteling....I went to FRHS....and I know public school boys are tough as nails at times...BUT...D2's league is like taking the best in D1 and rolling it in to one.....IT IS VERY VERY TOUGH.
  19. Irish 40....I hope we survive....at lest we have a fine coach. Tn Ball....I love your quote....this is something I have had difficulty all my life (shooting for the stars you see). Your quote brings all to EARTH.....GO IRISH
  20. I read your "rebuttal cncerning the FRHS/HH game. I was not there, yet I do not doubt that FRHS may have been a little aggressive. I also do not doubt that HH could instigate WW3. I think FRHS should concentrate on state......not HH.....I think they have concentrated on HH as oppossed tostate the last few years........FRHS should easily make semis.....I think this team can take the title and say : "thank you D2 for a fun year". Just my opinion.
  21. I had a cousin graduate valedictorian from Harpeth Hall under republicans....and a cousin who graduated Valedictorian from USN under Democrats....another cousin said: "I can't stand Harpeth Hall I wan't to go to Ryan.....her senior year she won "most likely to succeed".....SHE is kicking serious bootay these days. As far as me and my political nature.....well, let's just say on the record I have a lot af political "pull". Off the record....I don't give a ---- what anyone is. Our world needs true love. NOW Back to you Mr. "Rhetorically speaking I must be the coolest cat in MY world". YOU STINK!!!!!! You must of thought you were relaying with a lesser foe.....bad move....and do not give me that FRHS stick together stuff....I have dealt with many great FRHS fans on this site....you are now the 2'nd "bad apple"......Oh, and for me.....I did'nt do much at Ryan....my peers did elect me to 3 senior superlatives however....see ya tough guy....We will be looking for you just to know when to pipe down......NOT!!!!!!!!!!! [Edited by frhsrules on 1-14-03 11:55P]
  22. They kicked BUTT....they had some tough losses....go Coddle yourself
  23. I was born in Nashville but grew up in K-town till 7th grade...The Webb school is the equivalant to the top private schools in any large city (only they are Knoxville's version). Their recent "claim to faim" was having their alum, Chad Pennington' QB the Jets to a very good season (Chad also QB'D at Marshall, and threw to Randy Moss). I think Webb seems to be a very fine team....the title will fall somewhere in this state....Not in Webb's hands however....DEFENDING FRHS....our losses are to 5-AAAAA team St. Pius (ATLANTA) by 5, ECS in Memphis by "a cabillion" (without Archie), Oakland (decent team, perhaps really good AAA) in Archie's first game back....Some 5-A team from Alabama who had won 50 straight with their win over us.....and finally, The HH, at their pad.....they are a really, really good team. I KNOW FRHS can beat Webb, HH, and any other team in d2 state.....we will have to wait to see "who wants it the most".GO IRISH [Edited by frhsrules on 1-14-03 9:23P]
