  1. Any word on a new AD and Girls Head Coach yet?
  2. Wow stbulldog. Sounds as if you really have an opinion concerning who Ryan hires. I would assume that the Riverdale coach (Coach Burt) is not looking for a coaching position and there are several girls basketball coaching positions open as of now. Do you have any other prospects in mind?
  3. Try the dakstats software. They have a 30 free trial offer on their product. Here is the link: http://www.dakstats.com/basketball.html
  4. Knox Webb is in the DII East Region. The teams mentioned here are all in the DII Middle Region. I would think that Webb will be a power in the east and will advance to the state tournament again this year. But with that said, Brentwood Academy are the 2006 state champions, and i think that they have a very good chance to repeat. BA has the talent and are very well coached.
  5. I agree ashjan44 about BA, JPII, and Ensworth. These were the 3 team that went to the state last year. From what I have heard, Lacy McGee will not be playing this year for Harpeth Hall. I do not know how true that is, but it is going around. I do not agree with you about BGA and SCA. BGA played well last year and upset Ryan in the regionals. They are well coached and can not be over looked. SCA is still looking for that one big win (although they did beat Ensworth last year) but have played many of the upper tier teams close. Don't know enough about Davidson Academy, but USN has a new coach this year.
  6. hsfan11, Perhaps you are correct on your statements to Instructor50, but dropping names is not a good thing. These kids did nothing and their names should not be mentioned for any reason. All, let us please remember that the kids do get on here and read this stuff. Thanks ...........
  7. This was an unfortunate situation indeed. If a young lady or young man commits to a high school program, as well as a AAU / travel team, and the two programs schedules conflict, then a commitment to the school program should be the highest of priorities. The questions are: 1) What conditions did this individual work out prior to the seasons beginning with her basketball coach and travel volleyball coach? 2) ere the special conditions (if any) allowed this individual by the high school coach shared with the other team members?
  8. hoopfan1 .............. Thanks!
  9. Each region will have a regional tournament. The east region will send the top 2 teams, the middle and west will each send 3 teams for a total of 8. The middle and west send 3 teams due to the fact that there are more division II schools in those regions.
  10. itzme, agreed, BA should be favored to take the middle region, if not the state championship. As far as the east region, I know that both Knox. Webb and GPS were the best teams last year and I would expect both to be tops again this year. The west region you would have to assume Briarcrest would be in the mix based on their tradition. I know that they are under new direction this year, but always seem to have very ahtletic players. ECS, St. Agnes, and Hutchinson are also fine programs.
  11. I have not seen any thing concerning Division II, so I would like to get your thoughts. Here are my thoughts on the DII Middle Region. The Middle Region will once again come down to Pope John Paul II, Harpeth Hall, and Brentwood Academy. JPII has all but 1 starter returning, so they should contend. Harpeth Hall lost 2 key players to graduation, and Taylor Parrish is not playing this year. They are the defending State Champions. Brentwood Academy returns 4 (I think) starters and was runner-up to Harpeth Hall last year. Father Ryan finished 4th in the regional tournament in 2005 and graduated several key players. They have one returning starter that I know of. It should be a fun year with the addition of Davidson Academy and Ensworth.

(Main Gym) Siegel vs St. Cecilia (Aux Gym) 1:00 PM Hillsboro vs Cookville (Main Gym) 2:00 PM Cookville II vs St. Cecilia (Main Gym) 3:00 Coffee Co. vs Hilsboro (Main Gym)
