  1. I must agree that EHS has to be the best so far in the district, they have played strong teams and pulled it out each time. It will depend on how they play against Chapel Hill and Culleoka. They have great talent and awesome speed down the floor. They also have great strength from all positions, especially when your post can nail threes and your wings can shift to make post plays. They are definitely a potential #1 team in the ditrict.
  2. ok well, I know that EHS will be above Cascade b/c they beat them , and nw that they have gotten past some of the first game jitters they wll be playing much better.
  3. EHS beat the Lady Champs tonight by I think it was 6 points but do not quote me on that. Both teams played very well with great talent and determination. Good luck to both in the rest of thier season...
  4. I say Eagleville, by 7. I think this will be a running game... and a 3pt. game. go lady eagles!
  5. Eagleville b-ball players always seem to get overlooked just b/c they are sinlge A, but have always had great players especially guards... This year Senior, Brittany Rigsby, will help carry her team with her outstanding speed, agility, dribbling, passing, and shooting. She is a great team player and knows when her teammates are red hot. Even though Sarah Karper, Junior, is always there in case she gets into trouble on the court. Karper can drain the "3" when needed, and can drive so fast you may be left standing. Just never count Eagleville out, they always suprise everyone b/c they underestimate them.
  6. Eagleville has always had a strong mens team, but is seems that every year no matter where we play they will try and cheat us out of a game. I think that our team will be very strong with its leading seniors, they are quick and can throw some pretty fancy passes. With the help of them being on the football team, expect them to be even faster than before and even stronger than ever. They will be a strong force in this years season and tournaments, if given the chance and given fair refs. All comments and opinions are welcomed in this thread.
  7. I played basketball all of my life up until my freshman year of highschool. I was just ready for something new, so I figured I would join our schools cheerleading squad my sophmore year since it would be so much easier. I want you to know, I have had to work so much harder in these last two years now in cheerleading than I ever did in basketball. In basketball you have your point-guard, wings, and posts that have to make the plays. But in cheerleading you have the bases and the back-spot who are holding the flyers life in thier hands. Have you ever been responsible for some elses life in b-ball? I don't think so, but when a girl is being thrown 15 feet in the air, having to balance all their wieght on the hand of a guy, or pulling a full twisting layout on the wood floor, I think then they are putting thier life in the hands of a fellow cheerleader. So, before anyone else can diss cheerleading, how about you actually try and see if it is easier to do all the things combined in cheerleading and compare them to b-ball. Once you have tried these then you can have an opinion about it.
  8. Hey EvagasFan.... 3 Years as in they have had the same starters for 3 years in HIGHSCHOOL!!!!!! SO why don't get the facts before you try and proving someone else wrong. B/c I have attended Eagleville for a long time now and I know that they played together in middle school. DUH!!!!!
  9. Eagleville beat Blackman by 3 at shelbyville.
  10. Bryce Toups from Eagleville.Great arm, great speed, good glove and is stronger from the right but more consistant from the left.
  11. I am not going to agree or disagree with anyone on what they think the outcome of the district will be. B/c of course I have my own opinion and this is how it goes.... 1) Eaglevlle- may have been a little inconsistent last year but they have had the same team for three years now, and they have all the kinks worked out. 2) Moore County- will dominate along with Eagleville in all season games and put up a tough fight in the District. 3) Huntland- will have overcome their injuries and will be hot on Eagleville and Moore County's trails. They should not be taken lightly. 4) Forrest- the same exact thing as Huntland. I look for huntland and Forrest to battle it out in the season and district. 5-8)Culleoka- not to strong in the past but I look to see them suprise some teams. Cascade- always has tough girls and will be srong. Cornersville- they are known for their big girls and I don't think they will be to bad. Richland- They really have not done very good in the past seasons, but hopefull they can gain a lil strength this season. I just want to say good luck to all and may everyone have a good season. Play hard, w/o injury, and let the great games and rivals of District 11A BEGIN!!!!!!!
  12. I have to go with Rigsby and Karper, Karper and Brooks, or Rigsby and Brooks. All three of the girls work outstanding well with one another and can carry their team far.
  13. Nathan Robinson from the Eagleville Eagles is an outstanding player. He is quick on the turn around jumper, an has awesome upps. He can play post, but also has a great outside shooting game. He can play very well anywhere you want to put him.I must not leave out Ezzelle, he is quick and aggressive on the rebound and shot.
  14. 1-2) eagleville/ moore county 3-4) huntland/ forrest 5) cascade 6) richland 7) unionille 8) culleoka () cornersville Just my opinion...
  15. I agree Eagleville may not be the best but yet I would not underestimate this years team. There may have been better in years past, but at least they have more than just one who wants to play for everyone. Unlike in 2001 team, which they jsut wanted to make themselves look good not the whole team. As long as they have leadership from everyone, major teamwork, and above all good attitudes from the players and coaches. Lets just hope that everyone keeps their cool this year, and GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!!!!!
  16. I have to agree with Bballchick25, b/c I am sorry but if you have not watched a single game you can't put the team down. Though I too have to say it will be a match between Moore Co. and Eagleville. For they have been battling it out for years. I do think they both will lead the season, and will lose and win one to each other. The other two tough teams will be Chapel Hill and Huntland, I don't know how any of these teams will be since I will not be able to go to their games. Eagleville on the other hand I am a big fan and will get to watch many games. Hopefully I won't be like some and FORGET not to open my mouth about teams I know nothing about!!!!!!
  17. The Eagleville Mens team is a combination of speed, and shot accuracy from all. If I am correct everyone can shoot effectively from everywhere. I look forward to seeing this team in the district championship with Culleoka, and then both teams doing very well in the region. If not for sure, at least in a long time. I think this is the best Mens team Eagleville has ever had. They all pass, shoot, creat plays for each other, and just have awesome team work & dedication to the game. They will be a strong force this year.
  18. Eagleville High School has always had a somewhat decent team, but had an awesome team back to back in the years of 1981-1982. They won state runner-up back to back those two years. The outstanding players were Jackie Anderson, Debbie Maxwell, and some others. If yuo ever got to watch them play please let me know.
  19. ok, ok.... I totally agree with evegasfan.I do think that some people could do a better job in creating plays for everyone else. I think the only problem that our girls have is that we do not always play as a team, but once we get that fixed before the season starts, they will be unstoppable. Even against the highly overated team from Moore County. EHS Lady Eagles will make their first state appearance since our back to back state runner-up titles in 1981 and 1982. Except this year we will bring home the gold, and good luck girls b/c i will be watching. Look for more posts from me in the future.
  20. Eagleville is ready and hyped to have its first ever football homecoming game in history. They play Mt. Zion Christian at Blackman and I think it is on Oct. 11. Mary Fluty will be crowned queen that night.
