  1. i am sorry but i don't agree with you 12timechamp. many people do think that when a team loses it is the coaches fault, but do the coaches dress out on game nights? are they on the court making someone make a bad pass or a cheap foul? NO! so, yeah, everyone wants their team to go for the gold, but the gold is in the hands of the PLAYERS that set foot on the floor!
  2. We were missing a starter last night; #20, Holly Whitworth. She attended Bible Study with her family. She will be back to face Cascade tonight!
  3. i agree with you completely. Coach Ray is one of the nicest and most talented coaches 11A has to offer. We have been to Waynesboro basketball camp with Huntland for 5 years now, and let me tell you that those girls really enjoy having Coach Ray around. He treats them with respect and is a great friend to our team. Let me also add that it is difficult to beat a team 3 times in a season so the team that will win the district is the team that shows up to play. Coach Ray, we got your back
  4. i have already talked to jamar and he knows that he didn't have the best game against culleoka, but as far as prospects go, then why was he scheduled to take an unofficial visit to mississippi state this saturday?(but is now not able to because of a rescheduled game) not only is he a good ball player, he is also at the top of his class academically and he is also very popular with his classmates. all three of these things is what makes him a great college prospect. jamar is one of the only kids that i know who doesn't even get to enjoy their summer. while everyone else is on vacation or sleeping in til the late afternoon, jamar is at individual basketball camps, team basketball camps, playing ball every wednesday and sunday night at the park, and traveling to many different states for his AAU team which is always in the nationals. so since all of you think jamar is having such a horrible season, why is he being looked at by UTC on Feb. 22...ask gomab if u dont believe us............
  5. Just because Jamar had an off night doesn't mean anything. I've SEEN his letters from Stanford, Syracuse, and Mississippi State. Everyone also has to remember that not just one person can make something happen...it takes everyone that is on the court. The Rockets just weren't hitting Tuesday night. Our leading scorers only ended up with about 8 or 10 a piece. And as far as the coaches fault?? I don't believe I saw Coach Mac dressed out in a uniform or warming up.. The Rockets just had an off night and are ready for their match-up with Community! Good luck!
  6. jmoses, i agree with you completely. forrest did not bring their best game to moore county. the bench did do a great job of stepping up. we had freshmen guarding abby and they did a great job containing her. hopefully our team will regroup before tournaments roll around, if not, we will be in some trouble. the lady rockets need to realize their strengths, which is pounding the ball inside to jones, who needs to finish. with wilson and whitworth sitting on the perimeter, knight driving to the goal, and housch picking up the trash, we should have no problems. we just need to step it up and play like we did a month ago. as for the fans, that was the worst sportsmanship i think i have ever seen at moore co. they acted way too immature for their age. i find it hilarious that high school players have better sportsmanship than the one lady who yelled at an injured player. there should be no excuses for the loss, because hopefully we will be matching up with moore co. again when it comes time for the first place game in districts.
  7. too bad the situation wasn't a misunderstanding. you could clearly hear her yelling, " you got what you deserved" i do feel sorry for the other moore county fans that know how to act with class at a high school ballgame. it's almost pathetic that we have high school kids that act more mature than an adult. but that's beside the point, both teams played well, forrest ended up with i think three players fouling out, and some of the better players did not have an outstanding game..oh well, there is no reason for excuses. i think forrest will definately make up for it in the district where it really counts.
  8. i'm laughing b/c forrest and cornersville both beat unionville...haha
  9. Kori Knight is definately one of the underrated players in 11a. With Knight and Sarah Karper from Eagleville, it makes our district one of the hardest.
  10. I don't know what you are talking about when you said Forrest hasn't shown you anything yet. Actually at Waynesboro camp this summer, they only lost one game, and pretty much killed every team they played. Point guard Hunter Shankle was dominating the court after averaging 5.7 steals a game. Zach Kennedy and Cody McCone both did a terrific job of rebounding. Patrick Schnapp and Jamar Jenkins both averaged around twenty a game. Both can also dunk!! I guess they'll just have to show you on November 26 at Summertown.
  11. To tell you the truth, Forrest will probably surprise a lot of people. We didn't start off that well last year, but we shocked a lot of teams at camp, especially when we beat Franklin Road Academy.Knight is coming back as point, Whitworth and Wilson have a good three point percentage, and Jones and Housch are tough on the block. We have a deep bench as well. Fans will see a different team this season. We didn't graduate anyone, and our team is ready for a winning season!! Eagleville also looks like they will be a tough team as well. With Rigsby on point, Karper shooting threes, and Frost and Alcorn on post, they should be some competition in the district. My predictions is that this year district will come down between Forrest and Eagleville.
