Recruit? BA doesn't have to recruit. Even if they do recruit, what is the problem? BA is a private school
that sells itself well. When a Jr. Pro coach sees a kid with talent and sets up a meeting with the
school, there is nothing wrong with that. This has been proven in the highest court in the land.
So they offer breaks on tuition to families that can't afford to pay $9,000 a year. What is the problem?
As long as BA families pay their taxes(which are suppose to help fund public schools), there is no problem.
I do not have a problem with public schools. I have a problem with schools that don't promote their
schools the way BA does. There are a lot of schools that have better athletes in the halls than they do
on the field. BA is a family that has good qualiy people as students. There will always be a few bad apples,
but on the whole, good people. They have one of the best Hs coaches in history and he is not done yet.
So, BA doesn't have to recruit. If you are a quality person with good athletic skills, you probably would
love to play for the best coaches and best program in the state. Unless you are one of the many who
have received some of the good old fashioned butt whippins the Eagles have handed down over the years.
Or, maybe you just like pulling for the underdog. Something else, two myths I have heard for many, many
years are " I was recruited by BA" and " we scrimmiged BA and beat them". I guess every kid that has played football in TN was recruited by BA and they beat them in a scrim. Get real.
