  1. haha, I'd have to agree with you Dedicated_Wrestler. Those crazy rolls and stuff work well in folkstyle, but aren't as effective in the other styles. Olympic styles are a bit of a culture shock for most people who have only done folkstyle exclusively. Hats off to everyone who's tried it even if they decided it wasn't for them.
  2. No need to be a jerk man. That's all I'll say on that. I've been helping out over at Smyrna a bit with Hamm and I think they're going to be alright this year. They're well coached and the boys, for the most part, seem to have a positive work ethic. They don't have the tremendous innate talent that other teams are blessed with (*cough* Bradley/Soddy, although they are extremely well coached as well. Not trying to take anything away from them.), but they do have standouts that can make some noise this year. If you underestimate this team, you're making a huge mistake.
  3. I have to agree with the general consensus of Marable, Bundy and Dunning. Bundy has been wrestling Dunning a lot over the summer (so I've heard), so he should be getting used to his style. I think it'll be a great showdown at the Ryan tournament no matter who wins. Not much needs to be said about Dunning or Marable, their records speak for themselves. I do think that Borneman is going to be a beast this year as well as Kenny Meredith.
  4. haha, Kenwood doesn't need a feeder program, they genetically engineer and grow their wrestlers.
  5. 1. Gibson 2. James 3. Lane 4. Cordell 5. Blackmon 6. Campbell 7. Bundy 8. Sanders 9. Cody 10. Rudas 12. Dix 12. West 13. Baily 14. Hudgins
  6. Justin Tisdale did a great job at the state tournament and wasn't even expected to place this year. He'll only do better next year.
  7. I would personally like to see Dunning vs. Bundy. I think that would be an amazing matchup.
  8. From what I've seen over the past years is that the champions from D1 and D2 are all amazing athletes, some better than others. But D1 has much more depth than D2.
  9. I've seen Holliman wrestle. He is a great athlete, I'm sure he'll finish the job next year.
  10. I knew he was going to win state all along BOTW!
  11. Region 7 Represent! Good job guys!
  12. Thanks everyone! Downforthecount: Do I know you?
  13. Yeah, I won't be able to do that until school is over...I'm stuck at Ole Miss this year and am currently in the process of transferring to MTSU. But I figure if there's any paperwork I can take care of now, I should get it out of the way. Thanks for the information.
  14. Hey- I'm very interested in becoming a referee but am not sure what to do to get the process started. I looked on www.tssaa.org but didn't find anything that seemed to pertain to the issue. If anyone could give me some information I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
  15. Yeah, I just looked at the list and I'm wondering that too.
  16. I was wondering if there are any tournaments with a college division on the 6th of March. If anyone has any information it would be most appreciated.
  17. Matman- You did a great job. Thanks for taking on this arduous task, can't wait for next year's.
  18. I didn't get to see those matches, but the main point is that Blackmon won. That's it. It doesn't matter whether he stalled or whether he was very active, he won. Whether or not his game seemed fair or of a "Champion" caliber, he won and therefore he is the champion. I'm not a Bradley fan, and I also don't have anything against them, but it just seems that whether or not he deserved to win he won.
  19. I agree 911, I've seen him work his butt off last year and all through the summer up until I went to college. Needless to say I'm proud beyond words of him.
  20. hahaha, I am a very happy guy now!
  21. Nic Bundy (HHS) 1st place @ 112 (D1)
