  1. Great story. We're all really proud of ya Nic.
  2. Man, I got to see Kelly Felix and Manson wrestle in the finals. Those were some bad dudes. Very very impressive.
  3. Bundy got ahead of himself and has admitted this many times. Would the result have been the same if he had wrestled that last match like he wrestled Coleman last year? Who knows, Usary won that match and everyone acknowledges that how he wrestled he deserved to win and Bundy deserved to lose, even Bundy. But I would not call Bundy arrogant for making that mistake, maybe careless. He is a complete class act and has never been anything less. He is still just as humble as he was when he was our star 103lber, his credentials are just a lot longer. As for this weekend, I have to go with Bundy for winning 130 and possibly getting OW. He'll just need to keep that fire burning from the first seconds of his first match to the final whistle of the last match. GO COMMANDOS!
  4. Come on Hendersonville boys, where's the Mr./Mrs. Bundy nomination!?
  5. Excellent article. Whether you're for or against the war, those soldiers (as well as the medics, engineers, etc.) are heroes.
  6. That's because you have too many Hamm!
  7. Yeah, Congrats to Bo Usary, I wish I could've seen that match. As much as I hate to say this, because it kills me to see my boys lose, I think Nic needed that. I think that this will give him all the motivation he needs to earn his second state championship next year.
  8. I think the 130 Bundy has a great shot at placing if he continues to wrestle his butt off. He and his brother have a lot in common, including the heart of a lion. (did I just say "heart of a lion," dang I feel corny.)
  9. Don't pay attention to him gablefan, he's just trolling up these boards.
  10. Coach G, if you quit I will be very upset. Your boys all look to you as an excellent motivator and coach. You've been responsible for building the team and for bringing in great assistant coaches to help in areas you may not feel you can as much. This doesn't have to be the start of Smyrna's decline, but if you leave it might be. HERD is a jerk, plain and simple. I realize he's not the reason you've come to this decision, but still. You're a good guy and a good coach. Remember: It's easy to stay when you're on top, it takes someone special to stay when success is not as readily available. Your guys need you now more than before, don't leave them.
  11. Wait a minute Coach. Christian Brothers has a 160?
  12. I heard that Whit dunning transferred to Kenwood so he could have a Div I championship to go along with his Div II championsips. Confirm/Deny
  13. Sommers would be a good bet if he were healthy. This kid has had some back problems and hasn't been able to wrestle very much. I don't doubt his heart, but his endurance has to have taken a hit. Thankfully he's a Junior this year and will be back stronger than ever next year.
  14. Tisdale(Beech) will take 140 Alex Bogdan (Hville) has a shot at 112 Bundy at 125. If bigger Bundy pulls his game together and wrestles to his potential I'd give him 130...But Isbell is a great wrestler too...so I'd say it's a toss up. Justin Shanes(Hville) will probably at least be in the finals at 119 David Carter(Hville) has a shot at 145 And depending on if a)Weakely bumps up to 215 and b)If he wrestles hard the whole 6 minutes. Adam Hubey(Hville) could be in the finals. I haven't seen Garza wrestle yet, so I can't really judge a winner between the two. Well, that's all I really know about Region 7. I'm only really sure about Tisdale winning 140 and Bundy winning 125. Other than that, I'm just crossing my fingers.
