  1. Ok, so this is just one tournament, right? In onther words, the fresh and sophmore are not separate, right?
  2. So, any idea of the size of the tournament...like, the size of the brackets?
  3. Just checked the results, no really big upsets...looks like everything is going 'plan.'
  4. Yes, everyone please post the schools that you know will be sending their freshman/sophmore wrestlers.
  5. In D2, I'd like to see Dunning (FR) and Hussein (Bay) wrestle. If anyone can upset Dunning, it'll be Hussein.
  6. Yeah, I've heard of plunk, but sadly, I've never seen him wrestle this year. He does have a chance, though.
  7. 103: Johnson landed a pretty good draw. Noman (Ov), Brett (SD) and Randolph (BC) will have to fight it out for the chance to make it to the finals. 112: I'd love to see a match between Konz (frk) and Coleman (Clv). 119: Oritiz has his hands full. He's been there before many times, and we'll see if he can pull it off. Pair got a better draw, and i think he should make it to the finals. 125: Not a very interesting weight class. I'd like to see the match between Usuary (SH) and Bundy (Hen). 130: With Jennings (Ov) out, I can see Fuller (SD) and Miller (Clv) in the finals. Not a very though weight class compared with others. What are your thoughts; anybody out there worth mentioning that could pull off some upsets?
  8. Well, first of all we have to know who's attending. Are the Memphis schools (ex. Coll.) and Chatt. teams coming? This tournament should be great if we can get enough wrestlers to attend. No divisions, just one state champion.
  9. Ok, if you have the consolation results or impressions, than please post them here.
  10. "It is definitely a tough loss for Whit and Father Ryan. Gripper does he really have to "learn to wrestle smarter?"" On the national scence he does. I don't know if you've ever attended the senior nationals, but one mistake and it's over. There's more pins than one would expect there because many of the guys are not used to being on their backs.
  11. Will if this happens, we'll just see how much of a competitor Whit is. Knowing a lil about Whit, I'd wouldn't be too surprised if he does move up to 125 at state to reclaim his crown, and not leave anything behind. However, I believe that you have to wrestle what ever weight-class you wrestle in state, so that may restrict Whit to 119. What do you guys think?
  12. Wow, Felix pinned Fuller! Anyone remember what happened?
  13. Yeah, I wouldn't be too surprised if Whit tried to toss Manson and got taken to his back. Manson's not just some "other" wrestler, and Whit should have know that. He has to learn to wrestle smart in the senior national tournament, and he'll definitely not be tossing anyone there.
  14. Any big upsets? Someone please post the individual scores for both divisions.
  15. Yeah, but to be honest I think that Palmer's aggressiveness would wear him out like he did the kid in the finals. Palmer's just too intense, imo.
  16. You guys are welcome. And Seabb5, I do think it's your computer or at least your internet connection because I had no problems with mine. It's probably a good idea to have broadband, also. If you don't, than try a library or your school.
  17. Any idea of when they're coming out?
  18. How do you guys think Whit Dunning would do against the 119s in the finals?

  20. http://www.walshironman.com/ This is pretty interesting. Many great matches. If you guys want to see Dustin Schlatter, than click on the 145lb weight class. He is considered one of the best wrestlers in the nation.
  21. Yeah...so when are the matches? And do you know if the GA individual finals will be televised like they have for the past 2 years. And if yes, do you know the time, channel, and date? Thanks.
  22. Why to the family and not Coffey himself? I think he deserves it.
  23. Felix got the first takedown. He was doing alright, than it seemed like he just broke down. He and his brother stayed on the front-headlock way toooo long!!! I mean come on, at least do something with it. My best advice is to watch the Mccallie guys; they know how to score from the front head-lock.
