Pat Turner of Clarksville High School (the fellow in the wheelchair thats always cheering) He's been coming to clarksville's practices for the past 6 years his son graduated in 2003 and he still has been coming around and going to local businesses and building support for the area wrestling programs. Definitely supporter of the year.

i dont know what aspen is talking about but i heard cliff gibson is just a beast, im talking swollen muscles technique out of this world. i think he could be the next national champion. thats right the next national champ. you probably wrestle him either the first or second round

probably half of you people on this website have never even stepped a foot on a wrestling mat to compete, most are silly parents who voice their opinions on off the wall subjects. yeah and if kenny did punch his opponent it would be exciting, would it not. and i don't believe its some black mark, the only reason it is talked about is because of suckers like ya'll. in reality its ppl like ya'll that make situations like this a black mark on the sport. and what sticks out the most is when you choose to stick out the most, for example the thing that prolly stuck out most to the champions of the brentwood tournament was their matches in the finals their victory of the tournament not some silly fight that happened, heck everyone has seen a fight, i know it would be the first thing i'd think about. actually i'd probably think about that unstoppable 152 pounder from Mater Dei but thats my opinion. Ya'll need to understand that people get into fights in human nature, Is it not? how many of you have not ever been in some sort of fight or squabble? i would bet to say most people have been. and you should know that you usually can't control the time and place things happen, they just happen. UNEXPECTANTLY! like in michael ligons case where they opponent from brentwood had been saying unacceptable things to michael in the match and the referee didn't help stop the situation. so tempers flare things happen its in the past both boys are back on the mat and people like you are still wanting to talk about ridiculous things. Here is an idea find something better to talk about how about something positive about the sport maybe something that might build the sport up instead of quote un quote "tear the sport down" and ya'll would say and leave a black mark on it. well i've typed enough for right now. any questions or might i say COMMENTS just post and i will respond to them on saturday or sunday after i get back from chattanooga. good luck to everyone at state and GO MIDDLE TENNESSEE lets show them that chattanooga is not the only place where wrestling belongs.

i would rather have it all together than to break it up more and more. granted you can get more ppl with the larger schools but its not so much the quantity as it is the quality. you could have a kick butt program with a small school as well with a big school. I do find it less prestigious (sp) when they divide it up so much. I know i'd be thrilled out of this world if i was to be the state champ of all the state. I believe that california is just one state i know in order to compete in senior nationals in california you have to place 8th or better in the four years you compete in high school. in most other states you have to finish either first or second in the four years of high school. now i am proud of fra for winning a state title but it just doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me.

did a little wrestling here and there, some credentials, lived here all my life pretty much all. could have been better in high school

question for you all, was it not somewhat interesting? tempers get flared up in matches and sometimes they end up that way like ya'll havent seen it in the practice room and other places. I don't see his little incident doing anything bad to the sport, there are fights in hockey, basketball, baseball etc...... do ya'll think differently about these sports because of a fight or two. I know that I don't in reality it adds to the excitement. thats my opinion SO DEAL WITH IT!

bringing it up that on several occasions bradley has presented themselves the same way. If felix feels like pointing his finger at the bradley bench then so be it. well mine were the ideal one's i was sure hoping Coach jordan would be able to pull it off and make it to the state tourny, maybe next year, we'll all be watching out for him!

in my opinion i think kellen is relying way too much on strength alone. granted strength plays a big role until you hit that brick wall called "technique" now kellen does have technique but its as if he doesn't quite know how to use it yet, i hope he figures it out before the end of this week. Good luck kellen. on felix's defense i believe he has the entire package to be a true champion, he has the mental edge on his opponents, maybe his sportsmanship skills aren't the greatest but atleast they are there. i also believe that you need a bit of that arrogance to be good. good luck to felix both of them!

ejessenarmy, are you originally from clarksville or even from tennessee, if so where did you wrestle at when, how'd you do etc.... give us your stats im interested

Minwell's current record is 22-14, i'm not really sure how he manages to hold his 2nd ranked spot every week, i guess Matman must really like him! and to reuben128's post about those guys not making it to state. its not a shame that they didn't make it to state, its their own faults. that is what happens when you lay down to your opponent and GIVE UP!!!! dont feel sorry for them, maybe next year these guys should learn to step it up a little bit

I think we need those lil' fights occasionally, personally i enjoy seeing them. Bravo to Ligon, i hope you got some good licks in!
