  1. And exactly how many memories do you have now? How many state titles can you claim? I would be willing to bet that all but maybe 1 or 2 teams(both in D2) in the state would be willing to trade records and titles for the past 15 or so years. By the way, Higher Calling club has not taken over Bradley's kid's club. That is ran under the PRIDE wrestling club. Here's some free advice: Sometimes its best not to open your mouth and let people assume you're an idiot versus actually proving it by opening it!
  2. 145 for Bradley is Blake Jackson (junior) Also, Jesse Disney is a junior
  3. Spoon, you MUST be completely new to this board because this topic is on EVERY year, including this one. Do a little research to earlier topics and I'm sure you will see all of reasons of why this debate continues. Now my 2 cents, Bradley does prove they are the best by competing in the State tourney and if they win, then they get a state title just like anyone else who wins. By the way, that count now stands at 19! Personally, I would like to see Bradley wrestle the private schools to put this debate to rest, but I respect the decisions made by the staff. Your comment that BC is NO WAY better; how can you logically come to that conclusion? You never know how match-ups turn out and who shows up to wrestle. Once again, do some searching on here on old topics and you will have enough reading to keep you busy all night!
  4. Kennedy was awesome all tourney, nobody was even close to competing with him. He went and took over/uder and immediately threw Grieco and it was over. No argument Kennedy has been a dominant upper weight wrestler his entire career but you must have missed the early rounds of this tournament. There was a Tullahoma kid who did more than just compete with him, came very close to upsetting him. UR right, missed that one. I did see the 5 sec. pin of a SE Whit. kid. Wished I would have seen the Tull. match. Hard to catch em all with 5 mats going and alot of good kids.

  6. BCB, Hard to imagine Jack giving it up, I'm thinking he'll be back around after a lil time. Surely, we'll still see ya around some. Remember we always will have that Limo for you at the Bradley Invite! I'm just now getting comfortable in my black N gold beads, may still need a little coaching of when to wear them and when not to! If you guys don't come back, been alot of fun and we'll keep an eye on BBall!
  7. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> This topic comes up every year, I'll start. Doin the "Wave" during dead time during the girls tourney. Hendersonville guys got it started & then it took off. I don't remember ever seeing that before?
  8. Thanks for the encouragement, I'm sure we'll see ya around!
  9. I haven't seen Indy wrestle since State last year BUT have you seen Bradley. Your're implying that Taylor, Aguilar, Murphy, Disney, Bolton, & Epperson are weak? That's pretty bold. I was impressed last year with Indy and I'm sure they have improved even more but I question some of your logic without head 2 head match-ups. Good luck though, maybe they will meet up!
  10. Fair question. Josh was as ready for Procter as he was Garcia. Once again, no guarantee but he would have liked the opportunity to wrestle. Proctor is a TOUGH kid and who knows, he very well may have beat him again. He didn't feel that he wrestled his best the first time and was eager to wrestle. He did not prefer Coach Logsdon's decision but he understands it and RESPECTS his coach without questioning him. Now personally, I did not want to forfeit out. I felt that Cookeville drove 3 hours to wrestle, lets get it on. But, I understand and respect the coach's decision to do so, we typically do it alot in the state if we have a huge lead to prevent injury. IF, that was Coach E reasoning, I can understand that. However, usually doesn't happen from the losing team but the logic can be the same. Now your private school question. Personally I would LOVE to wrestle Baylor and McCallie. Once again, I have close ties to both schools and would like to wrestle them. In fact, one Baylor parent and I have a close realtionship that we talk often about our kids and the teams and compare matchups against other schools. I coached middle school for awhile and developed rapport with McCallie and often speak and discuss with them when our paths cross. HOWEVER, I respect and understand the decision that was made by our staff several years ago. Apparently, the TSSAA has some logic to it since there are 2 divisions?? It was a bittersweet night, we had several family members that came to watch Josh wrestle and did not even get to see one match? Who would have thought that? The draw and circumstances just worked out perfectly that he did not even get on the mat. As a parent, it was frustrating but as a former coach and a fan, it was great from a team perspective. I think we'll take big wins and time you can get them! I hope I answered all your thoughts and questions. Keep in mind, this is my point of view, please don't assume that our staff feels the same way or group my thought as all of Bradley fans or parents. So don't hold this against any one else, thanks.
  11. The D does stand for Disney. You're right. I am close to this point and probably a 'lil too close! We were ready to get that bad taste out of the mouth and Josh seemed to get his focus back for the post season. Not saying he was guaranteed a win, but his 2 week mental layoff was over and was as "fired up" as I've seen him in awhile. If that was the logic, I understand it, just never expected that from Cleveland. Usually you expect a fight all the way to end?
  12. When have you seen forfeits in a Cleveland/Bradley match? It just doesn't happen often, typically there is too much pride to wave the white flag. Maybe, it was smart. Yeah, the potential for injury is there but usually you don't see it from the losing side? I never would have expected that it this setting. Yes they don't hang region banners from the ceiling but you don't thrown in the towel against the team that you are trying to take down? Maybe, they'll meet again in the state, I hope they do. The kids, parents, coaches all know each other and most have friendships "outside of wrestling", I do. BUT, when the competition is there its time to get down to business. It would be great to see an all Bradley county final!
  13. If that's the logic, then why not forfeit against WV when the team is way up in points instead of continuing to pile it on? I can tell you Disney was ready for the rematch and was noticebly upset that the chance was pulled. I bet Garcia was willing to go at him again. But, I doubt seeding was on anyone's mind when the match was out of hand except to get ready for the Owls and go back to work.
  14. Way 2 go BEARS! Big Momentum got going at 103 & kept rolling until the Raiders coaching staff was ready for the bleeding to stop. Surprised to see the white flag raise when you're supposed to be challenging for State???? Kudos to mighty Bears coaching staff getting the guys "tuned in" for the post season as well as seeing the wrestlers continue to respond to the "system". Can't relax yet, still gotta finish the next 3 weeks strong to close the deal!
