  1. Two good teams. Great Match, lots of fireworks.
  2. I didn't see the Match, but have been watching Southerland for years and have not seen him Stall. Was someone else at 152?
  3. Wow! You sound like a really smart writer.
  4. I think it is amazing that even with lots of seasoned adults around the Heratige Wrestler took leadership and begin CPR on the man. When you unexpectedly find yourself in a position like that it is normal to be a little confused and unsure about what is the right thing to do. Very impressive!
  5. I enjoyed watching the Clarksville Hwt. He really pushes the action. Most aggressive Hwt I have seen in a while.
  6. I don't believe ANY coach can start with largely inexperienced wrestlers and compete with teams that have kids that have had Great coaching since 1st grade. Years ago Bradley had a kids program that was 2nd to none. They sent kids to high school with 200 quality matches under their belt and ready to place in the state. Logston did a great job building those kids. Ben Smith is a coach that I would be proud to have coach my kid. He is great but competing against Teams that have elevated the game since Bradley's Dominance. Cleveland's leadership elevated about 6 years ago by adding Coaches to High School, Middle School and the Kids program. When you add guys like Heath Eslinger, Eric Phillips, Josh Boskin, Jake Yost to an already good Cleveland staff good things happen. This is the 6th year after Cleveland made their improvements, their 6th graders are now 12th graders in a top notch program. The future looks bright because their very experienced and well coached kids are now entering High School. I think Ben Smith is as good a coach as there is, but the world has changed and Cleveland, Walker Valley, Wilson Central and some others have improved their programs to the point that Bradley and Soddy will have trouble being as dominant as in the past. I am thankful that Cleveland's Supporters such As Alan Jones and the school superintendent have given the students access to coaches of this caliber. It can make a positive difference in their lives, and encourage the other schools to do the same.
  7. They quietly work very hard to keep the wheels rolling on a sport we all lover to watch or participate in. Very happy for them!
  8. I agree with Xander. For many years kids entered Bradley good enough to place or win state. Bradley did a good job of taking very good wrestlers and making them Better. Ben doesn't have the Luxury of starting off with kids with this kind of experience. Looking at the staff of coaches they have sitting on Bradley's side I am willing to bet they will return to their glory days. One way they will do that is to wrestle the best teams they can find, and learn from the experience. I think they are going against Baylor today or tomorrow.
  9. Cup cake, Are they giving you writing lessons over there? Please remember there are simple people like me reading this. I have trouble understanding big words. I must give Maryville Heritage some credit, they are the best team I have seen out of Knoxville area.
  10. Tex, see you tomorrow night. I may even pull for some of Ben Smiths Bears, and Walker Valley. Tommy Boone
  11. I would like to take a few days to revel in being smarter than you guys by figuring this out.
  12. Once again I just got here but.... I know who Scottmike is.
  13. You must be from Hixson! However, those guys were good. Randy Batten was a 3 time NCAA D2 champ. He also was ob the cover of the NCAA wrestling rule book in roughly 1978
