On the game, it seems like Powell should win this one, but they also had the big loss to CC so who knows whats going to happen. IT will be a good game no matter what

Bottom line, move on from it and win tonight. First games are always the toughest to get things together. They have had a week now to prepare, im going to try and go see it tonight, just depends on what happens. They will be okay I think, The region seems to be a little down this year after the first 2 weeks. Hopefully powell can bounce back and win it tonight.

IF you go back and read what I said, I said ALL around player, I havent seen someone Do as good as he has, at that many different positions, I have no ties what so ever with him, I do however like watching the kid play football cause he goes out there gives it 110 percent and isnt afraid to hit someone in the nose. Who all is out, I know last game, Pressley and Tex where both out. hopefully one of them will be back. Just a thought though, Jordan Allen is a man child hes probably the BEST all around football player that I have seen at powell in 5 or 6 years. I have no seen someone from Powell player Wide Receiver, Running back, Line backer Safety and CB all on the same night and make each position look like he is supposed to be there. He has came up huge for Powell this year and I give him props for that hes just been there everytime they need a big play, hes there on every tackle I haven't seen that boy give up once. I wish we had 11 of him on defense and 10 on offense (i like the QB)

I will tell ya what, Powell has a TEAM, coach lowe said it best on the radio, they may not be the best athletes or the best players, but they darned sure play as a team.... Powell was killing me in the first Q they could not move the ball much less do anything on defense. Coach must have said something and they just blew up with 31 points straight. This was the best 2 q's that powell has played in a heck of a long time. One thing I really liked the 2 guys who last week kept jawing and showing off, made there plays and went to the sideline. thats the way the game needs to be played. congrats powell, go get another 1

Whoever number 1 for powell is he really needs to calm himself down he really cost powell the game in my opnion. I dont mean to call him out but, he kept jawing with dayton, then got the personal foul when halls was backed up enough to punt. he put them in field goal range and really cost them in the first half. hopefully he loses some of that emotion and can regain his composure by playing and not talking

It was a good game up until a minute left in the first half, then maryville got some good plays. Maryville had a lot of balls bounce there way as did Powell One thing I noticed about maryville last night, it looks like they forgot to hold onto the ball, i havent seen a Maryville team fumble like that in a long time, hopefully GQ gets on the boys about that, cause with powells size they shouldnt be hitting them loose

This game isnt going to be on TV, dont know where you heard that its going to be broadcast on the internet, My reasoning is, in High School, you dont want players out there getting big heads and thinking they are going to be great when they are older, how many players from Maryville's run over the past several years are playing pro football???? Answer that question. The only player I can think of that plays pro ball is going to be Lee Humphrey and hes playing basketball and they didnt win a state championship.. i bring this up just to prove how hard it is to make it, and he isnt even on a pro team My point to this is, let them have fun out there and try to have a great time doing what they are doing, cause when it comes down to it. 99.9999999% of the guys in East TN are not going to be getting payed to pay Only reason I say this is because it is all fun and games now, but who is going to remember this is 10 Years. and by the way, I look forward to seeing a good game tomorrow does the game still start at 7:30

Thanks for the opinion on that there little willie, but hate to break it too you it seems that Powell does deserve the attention just as much as Maryville does, these kids from BOTH schools are out there busting there butts, theres no reason to say Maryville deserves it anymore as they are all working and doing what it takes to play. It would be nice to see all the teams get a chance to play on ESPN like the teams in Cali and Ohio and of Course Hoover.

Maryville will have kids transfer to Alcoa again and keep in 4-A so they dont have to start playing the 5a teams

no 300 pounders this year its kinda weird seeing, hopefully they can pull an upset, i just dont see it.
