  1. Good luck to Riverdale on the rest of the season. I hope you guys enjoyed your trip and got to see some of the best floats around. This crowd was a homecoming crowd but we usually still have a packed house and we have one of the best student sections I've ever seen. Also, that was one of the biggest visiting crowds I've seen at DC. I doubt our visiting bleachers ever get filled. They are huge!
  2. I don't believe he was using injuries as an excuse. I believe he was just giving an update on injuries, he went on in the next sentence to mention injured players for Richland. I've been following Steward Co. ever since you guys beat Waverly because I know you've never made the playoffs so I'm pulling for you guys. Good luck on the rest of the season. Do you have any games close to Dickson, maybe Houston Co.?
  3. DC5A I have to disagree with you here. DC was completely outmatched in size, speed, and just pure athleticism. Although we did match them in speed better than usual. Riverdales line probably outweighed DC's Defensive front by 75 lbs, the biggest player on our defense would have probably been the fourth smallest on their O. Not to mention we had Steadman Bell out, that long pass wouldn't have happened with him out there, plus he would have been a huge help on offense. You throw all that in there and it takes some VERY good coaching to hang with Riverdale. Hands off to Riverdale they look very impressive. I feel pretty good about the rest of the season for DC. On a somewhat side note, I thought that holding call in the fourth was a joke.
  4. lol bitter much? That was 19 years ago. I read on the TSSAA site one time that was the highest attended state title game ever.
  5. I guess the "traditional powers" don't have that but DC has a good QB in Primm and Rayburn is a stud RB.
  6. oh well you said DC was 2-0 BECAUSE they have played Brentwood and Columbia so I took it another way. I understand what you mean and I think you are right about the playoff teams being the same four as last year. I also think a region 6 team can make it to state, winning it is another question though.
  7. Clarksville @ Oakland - Oakland Brentwood @ Siegel - Brentwood LaVergne @ McGavock (Hot pick: McGavock over LaVergne) - LaVergne Smyrna @ Gallatin - Smyrna Riverdale @ Dickson Co. - Dickson Co. Mt. Juliet @ Lebanon - Lebanon Wilson Central @ Coffee Co. - Wilson Central Overton @ Blackman - Blackman MBA @ Ravenwood - MBA Maryville @ William Blount - Maryville
  8. I don't know where you got those stats at, DC is averaging 104 yards per game.
  9. I think you should give DC a little more credit. Brentwood beat Ravenwood who beat Franklin the week before that. What makes you think they couldn't beat Ravenwood or Franklin. I'm not saying they will but they should be close games just like the games between the big four have been so far.
  10. So because South Carolina beat UT at Neyland South Carolina is equal with Tennessee, but it doesn't work that way when UT hoops beat UK.
  11. Didn't Brentwood Academy have the most players in the SEC with around 12 last year? I'm sure they don't lead this year since that Lakeland High sent six or seven players to Florida alone.
  12. The tailgate crew at Dickson Co. is pretty impressive. They increase their numbers every year.
  13. DC has a pretty good passing game, but their star WR/FS Steadman Bell is out this week so that will really hurt. Also, DC has the best back in region 6 in Shane Rayburn. IMO, DC will be the best team Riverdale has played so far this season.
  14. 15. There wasn't and isn't near the bad blood between Dickson and CW. They haven't even played each other in varsity football yet. There was a freshman game this year which DC won 41-0, just had to throw that out there /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  18. The DC-HC game is always a tough, hard-fought game. It was DC's first action against another team since August 11's Lincoln Co. scrimmage.
  19. DC is very fast this year, especially on defense. However, they are small on both lines. Someone said earlier that HC would be faster than DC but I don't see that. If HC is faster it won't be by much. This should be a pretty close game with both teams scoring in the teens, maybe lower 20's.
  20. Oakland @ Coffee County - Oakland Glencliff @ Siegel - Siegel Hillwood @ LaVergne - LaVergne Lebanon @ Gallatin - Gallatin Riverdale @ Antioch - Riverdale Smyrna @ Brentwood - Smyrna Blackman @ Lincoln County - Lincoln County Wilson Central @ Mt. 21. I have and I haven't seen any talk of winning this year. How did HC look and who did you play?
  22. I didn't see any East fans on here runnin their mouths about winning this year. It is a first year school that could probably be playing a JV schedule. I was at the game and was very impressed with the fan supports for the team. When they went into half down, the fans were up applauding and cheering. They did the same thing when the team came back on the field to start the 2nd half.
  23. In middle school, the team with better athletes win 90% of the time. In high school, its usually the teams with more discipline and better coaching that wins.
  24. Oakland @ Riverdale - Riverdale Coffee County @ Shelbyville - Coffee Co.
