I was told by a prominent person within the TSSAA, that they have more problems with public schools recriuiting than private, particularly in Memphis. Unfortunately the publics only see one side.

Most of the schools in Williamson County as well as the privates have programs.

I thought that had already been done.

Very well put. There is always good players on bad or average teams that do not get recognized enough. The keeper BA had before Walker was in the same situation. The one I never did understand though was the keeper BGA had (Will walton I think). He was all-state on a good team but never made any of the mid-state teams.

Not to imply that the ones on this years team does not deserve to be there, but historically most players on the 1st team midstate team come strictly from teams who made it to state. This year was ther was only one exception. Case in point, there have been players make all-state two years in a row and sign D-1 and not even make 3rd team all midstate. It happens every year. IMO it is because for the most part it is picked by the sports writers ( mainly the Tennessean ). Most of the time they are obviously covering the better teams. As I stated before I am not saying these players did not deserve this honor. Only that as always happens, there are players left out that should not be.

UT has been saying they will have a team for the past eight years. So don't count on it.

All state does not come out until July. Midstate team is announced in June.

This is really sad.

If somebody, TSSAA and coaches, did not think the officials are good then I can assure you they would not be in Memphis. Keep in mind the TSSAA gets a lot of imput from coaches and supervisors in making their selections.

Not a bad idea but it will never happen.

Not to put him down but; I have seen many post praising their coach. However, from your post it sounds like more of a coaching problem.

Does East Tennessee have any fields ( complex ) at all that is capable of holding the state?
