Senior Night at Jack Armstrong stadium. I like our chances a lot, but am concern with our secondary. However, Dozier should run wild for a comfortable Wildcat victory.

It's Gameday!!! RWR! Take care of business tonight.

The one thing about it there is always life off the field that brings all of us to the Coach T Forum in disbelief, Did I hear that right or Did they really do that. The first big story was the hiring that broke the town of Greenback apart that went on until the Lenior City baby sitter stole the show and now the crazy football parents from Sweetwater have been holding the billboard chart for number one position for three weeks now and holding steady. Take it from Barney something out there is just saying here hold my beer they ain't seen nothing yet coming around the corner so don't be surprised when it happens.
There's a common factor here that I can't just identify...

If Clinton doesn't have Joshua Keith on Friday night, they are in trouble. He is a difference maker, both passing and running the ball as well as executing the offense, I don't know much about Lenoir City, but if Keith is out, and the backup can't move the offense, LC might win. If Keith plays, I go with the Dragons by 14.
I agree. However, LC is the better team and it will be an upset were Clinton to win, Keith or no.

A much cleaner game with Central. We looked much sharper than the past several weeks. That trend will need to continue against Farragut. Honestly, I would just like to see us not repeat our performances from the past 5 years. Next 2 weeks are big measuring stick games as we wind down the regular season.

I think this is a prime example of a lynch mob storming the gates of the school and getting what they wanted and being too full of pride to admit that they completely screwed the pooch. I actually think the parents that led the coup are so delusional and feel so entitled that they will never admit that their actions have caused an enormous hole in the program that they will not climb out of for years to come (run on sentence, but I'm not an English major).
Absolutely. But don't expect the school board to mention it at all.

AC is a lot slower than I anticipated. Clinton still can't stop the run. Don't know why A/C didn't go jumbo on 4th down. 2nd half can be a classic.
-
AC by 3 tds. Clinton is not good on D. Way too undisciplined. Lack of a kicking game is a killer as well.

5 star preps has a great article. Good for Slover for sticking to what he believes.
Yea, great article and shame on the administration of Sweetwater High. May they spend more than a few years in the football wilderness.

Game day. Beat Clinton. RWR!

But back to the game, just beat Clinton. I think the guys will bounce back. However, Clinton will be the first team we have faced this year that passes the ball well.

Boyfromsi would be appalled at this result.
Well, considering I was there and saw it up close, yea. But looking back, we just didn't make plays when we had a chance to and made critical mental errors at the worst time. Defense played well enough to win. Offense got outplayed and outhustled by McMinn's defense. The sideline calls were far stricter than any I have ever experienced at being on any sideline (and i have been on a few). Still rather bitter at that result even more so than the loss.

3rd sideline warning is automatic ejection of the head coach.
And I wouldn't expect JG back on the sidelines. Most likely Russ Partin is the acting head coach this week.
And that rule is too penal, in my opinion. 15 yards, yeah, but not an ejection. Especially at a field like McMinn or Clinton where the distance between the buffer zone and the fence is so narrow.
Yea, and the last one was thrown by the back judge. 5 years of being on the sidelines and I never witnessed a sideline called like the McMinn ref association called. But you are correct, it was for the 3rd infraction.

Game day! Should be a another good game between 2 good teams. Looking forward to tonight!

Yea, Campbell County will struggle to handle Clinton's speed. It shouldn't be a close game, but I didn't think last year's would be either. Still, if Clinton brings at least their "B" game, they should roll. Also, don't other look the revenge factor from last year's game.

Been telling you that Derek was a great hire.
You believe me now.
Oh, he impressed me early. Spring scrimmage against Halls was a revelation. He is as good a coach of coaches as he is players. Looking good early with a lot of rough and tumble games along the way. I like our chances in the region but there are some good teams in Region 4 and West and/or Powell will be waiting in the Semi's. Should be a fun ride. Good crowd again from the Oak Ridge faithful.
-
Great win tonight! As a measuring stick game, I thought we came out pretty darn well. Great 2nd half adjustment on defense and working some good magic on offense. Good luck to Powell the rest of the way. The region game with West should be epic. On to Karns and the start of the big road trip.
-
I would agree, we still have a lot to prove even though we played pretty well against Jeff Co. This is more of a measuring stick kind of game as far as to where we stand in 5A. I would think that Powell will come in here pretty motivated after letting one get away last week. I think points are going to be pretty hard to come by, 21-14 Oak Ridge.
-
Good early season measuring stick game for both teams.
-
Sad to see the #7 might be done for the season. One of the better players in this area. Praying for healing for this young man.
-
Needless to say, it shouldn't take a collapse of a structure to come to this point. This is a major dereliction of duty by the operations side of Sumner County Schools. THAT is what needs fixing. Proper maintenance is good governance; citizens need to insist on it.

Well, the score wasn't close, so there. Excellent job on D stopping the run. Offense was ok but have to block better on the edges. Overall, very good first game to start the Rang era. A lot to work on with Powell coming to town in 2 weeks.

I agree. Honestly, I think it could go either way. I won’t be very surprised if they beat us, or if we end up beating them. It’ll be 7 points or less either way it goes, imo.
Like last night's game between Halls and CC, it probably will come down to who has the most gas in the tank in the 2nd half. (and we are much better than CC or Halls)

With Rhea County winning, we will play East Hamilton in the 1st round of the playoffs. Good comfortable victory tonight. Had some guys back tonight and will have more next week. Should be fun.
