Fulton is their only competition.  I think Greeneville is 15 pts better.

That was a struggle all season for us.  Yes, great season and looking forward to what our young ladies will do next season.

Well, mine is we had one of those games where shots were not falling.  We played good enough defense to win or have a chance to win.  However, our offense was not good for that game.

What I wrote above is not to take away from a very successful season from a team that, for the most part, played the best that they could play.  Very fun team to watch.  Btw, the future is good as well.

Best luck to our Lady Wildcats!  Every game is going to be tough, starting with William Blount tonight.  

Agreed, at this level, nothing is automatic.  However, we are playing very good ball right now.  I like our chances to the finals.  But yes, one game at a time.

Something to note as well, we rotated nine in the game against Powell.  Resting Porter gave her fresh legs to sink those free throws down the stretch.

Great win tonight!  Congrats to Coach Taylor and the team for a hard won victory.  We play William Blount on Friday at the Wildcat arena, please come and support our Lady Wildcats.

It makes the path to state easier, or even necessary.  You want to play Farragut first, then Bearden.  We definitely need to be on our game come Monday.

Good victory tonight over the Bobcats.  We were able to play deep into the bench pretty early tonight.  Our starters should be rested and ready to go Monday evening vs. Powell.

It is halftime and Oak Ridge is beating Knoxville Central  29 -  16 in the District 3-AAAA tournament girls.

Oak Ridge plays West on Sat.  West defeated Powell in a mild upset to advance.  

The Lady Wildcats will play the Lady Bobcats, Friday at 6:00 PM.  Central advanced by defeating Karns 46-39.  Hope to see us play sharp like we did on Friday.

I agree.  Powell, especially has played well in the last week.  I still see us taking the District Championship though.

Great win for sure!  I thought this was the most complete game that we have played this year.  Good news to be playing your best ball going into the post season.  Good bounce back win after playing poorly against Fulton.

Great win tonight to close out the regular season.  The girls shot well, defended better and did a great job of moving the ball around.

Good news!  I heard today that we won the draw and we are the #1 seed in the District tourney.  Congrats to Coach Taylor and the Lady Wildcats!

I thought it was our best rebounding game against a quality opponent so far this year.  Also the best defensive and turnover game of the year.  The only thing off was the offensive side.  Looking forward to the next game.

Tough game, but I thought we played very well, just didn't defend well enough on the last play.  Complete reversal of last year's game.  Good to see the effort on defense and on the glass.  Got to find more ways to shoot a better average.  Grats to Clinton on their first win in 12 years.   Glad to see the rivalry back.

I haven't ever seen Green double up constantly on 1 player.  I would think they he would play aggressive outside defense (including trapping) to limit clear looks at the basket.  We will need knock down our own shots (something we haven't done consistently) to compete tonight.  I still think it will be a fantastic game regardless.

It is certainly within the realm of possibility.  We will have to play our best ball of the year to win.  Clinton is very good and maybe the best 3A school in East TN.

The District tournament should be interesting.  All of the teams are very capable of getting hot and beating everyone else, including us.  I still think we had a strong upside and have yet to play our best ball.  Starting the Friday, we have an incredible stretch of basketball that includes Clinton (2x), West and Fulton.

Update:  CC beat West for 2nd place.
