Right Jimbo! Lamar Rogers is the winningest Coach. His record is 779 wins and 159 losses. That record has been built at Clarkrange a very small 1A school in a very small rural Community. He has played 2A and 3A schools as well as out of state 3,4 & 5A schools in holiday tournaments. He is 1 & 1 against Shelbyville. About the only 1A schools he plays are district and regional teams. He has won 6 state championships - 3 in row 83,84 & 85.

maddawg; you're setting yourself up here. Just curious; what was his strategy against Clarkrange? When he called time out 20 seconds into the 1st quarter, his team was behind 6 - 0 and hadn't even touched the ball inbounds. Interesting strategy!!!

I guess the phrase 'toughest schedule' means different things to different people. Shelbyville - toughest schedule???? Supposedly the #10 team in the country - who have they played??? What about the 1A schools? Good question. Clarkrange -1A- has beaten a 3A 26 points; Jackson county, Harpeth and Scott -2A schools-; Oneida and Wartburg 2 of the best 1A schools in their district. They are 10 and 1 with their only loss at Celina. They will play Oliver Springs and Livingston -2As- and Brentwood Academy in the Livingston tournament. After the Holidays they will play Cumberland County -3A-; Livingston twice, Bledsoe County and Scott all 2A teams. They will also play Troudale County twice, Van Buren County, and Oneida all 1A teams along with the rest of the district 7A games. For a small rural community they play a bigtime schedule and are very successful.

Someone a few posts up ask, who else had won 3 straight state champions - Clarkrange did a few years ago and has 6 total.

Since Clarkrange beat Jackson County last week, I guess this puts them in pretty good company.
