does anyone know where one might find the single a, aa, aaa all state teams? I saw where the roberson girl from Unaka was 1st team all state in class A...where are these list.? I think this voting shows that Miss basketball should be voted on after state...when the season is over. Snow should have won.

CHS has an awsome defense this year. I heard on the radio the other night that they were leading the state defense. Is that true? Their opponents average 35.6 points a game. That is a stat that shows hustle. This team could be well on their way back to the promised land. I know we came up short against Livingston, but it still put them in the Tennessean's Midstate top ten and I think they deserve some attention like that and it was a heck of a game.

Of course you guys know who I am pulling for and they may be the favorite at this point, but 4A has some great teams and the past few years we have fizzled out in tournaments...disappointing losses to Celina and Friendship, and who can forget last years disaster against Westmoreland? So with all the talk on here about our teams, I thought it would be fun to see who the fan favorite was to win this years Region 4A tourny. GO LADY BUFFALOES.

I hope the Lady Dawgs hang a left when they come off the bridge and just don't show up to their own gym Tues night. (sorry man, i know the directions were an honest mistake, but i couldn't resist). Since when did Celina folk start being so hospitable to Clarkrange anyway, giving directions and all. Should be an awsome game but the guard play for Clarkrange is just too much for Clay. Ramsey was the difference up at Clarkrange and I bet Clay will work to shut her down. Clarkrange just has too many weapons to try to focus on one person. Let 'em put three players on Snow if Sims wants, but those other gals will eat him up. Clarkrange should win by at least 10.

Clarkrange did a good job putting away a good AAA school. Even more impressive was how they shut down Goodpasture in the semi's after starting the tournament poorly against Moore Co. Good job Buffaloes! You are right about snow, but the defenses could play her even tighter if Clarkrange did not shoot the three so well. This Clarkrange team really knows how to apply pressure on D.

Clarkrange was lucky to get a win, they had two players with the flu, and they still won. Celina made a run in the thrid, but Clarkrange's perimiter game destroyed the comeback. The Rich girl is a great player, but she can't keep her cool. she mouthed at the refs all night and should have got a T. Clarkrange's pressure with the full court press killed Celina. Celina doesn't have much ball handling skills, but I expect that to improve as the year goes on. If not for some foul trouble by the Lady Buffs they could have won by 20. Great game regardless. Clarkrange is back in stride and should get even better once they get over this bug, but Celina is a contender again this year.

Who all is playing is this tournament- boys and girls?

Clarkrange is playing pretty good ball. Oneida and Clarkrange should match up pretty good, but I think CHS wins this one by 10 or so.

BULLDOG- I know Richards is back playing for CHS, but I am not sure who else is back. A buddy of mine went up for the game and said they were better this year than last year which is suprising becasue they lost Conatser and Green. They dominated Friendship and I don;t think the score really reflects it. Alot of times when you loose big players like that your scoring balances out and you find a lot of talent that you did not know was there. I think there are 4 or 5 players that walked on last week too, some of the ones that had quit playing last year, but i don't know who all is back. They'll be much more competetve now with a deep bench. One thing about this game though- FCHS has just stopped playing football and some of their players are probably not in the basketball mode yet. Friendship will get better as ther year goes on.

I agree that this team is gonna have a good year with the freshmen additions. I saw them win the state when they were 7th graders and they were impressive then.

No, it's not alarming to any of us. The 7A teams have a lot of respect for the 8A teams I think. Yeah, Friendship lost a lot, but I think most people would agree (from what I have heard today) that Clarkrange did not play up to their potential and Friendship is gonna be good again this year. They still have the Zimmerman girl and a Cook girl scored like 18 points. We may regard Clarkrange as the top dog, but our fans and players know that the other teams are not just gonna give them the region crown. Their is still alot of playing to do, you can't ever tell how things are gonna shake out. My guess is that Westmoreland will be really good again too even though they lost a lot of their players, if that's what you are getting at. We're not ALARMED (are we Celina, Monterey, Pickett, RBS?). We'll give it all we got against those regional opponents and see who is left standing. Friendship gave it their all last night, but I would think that they would agree that Clarkrange does have the most talent this year out of all the region teams (at least looking at things in the preseason), but that don't mean they'll win it!

Could the substitutions have been intended to wear the rust off of some of those players that have decided to rejoin the team?

I heard this was a good game last night in Clarkrange. Who played good for Clarkrange and who played well for Friendship. I did not expect to see Frienship play Clarkrange as close as they did. I heard some of the game on the radio and it sounded like Snow was contained pretty well. Can Clarkrange hang with Jackson Co.?
