  1. White Station >3 St. Benedict Academy 0 White Station > 3 Wooddale 0 end of pre-season....
  2. Scrimmage Result: CBHS 0 Campo Limpo 2 in Brazil ( in 100F temperature) Only result reported to date.
  3. The volley shot by Jon Williams (now playing at Lincoln Memorial Univ.) of CBHS in 2003 State Semi-Final against Knoxville Cath. that was the first goal of a game that many thought would determine the DII state champion that year. An epic game that was eventually won by CBHS 3-2. The game may have had a different outcome if Jon Williams had not stepped up his game to fill the gap of CBHS star player Michael Kraus (now playing at Creighton) who was sitting out due to a red card in the previous game. Guys like Jon Williams are on many teams, they are not noticed but in the biggest games they somehow play at a higher level than anyone expects. It is a pleasure to witness this when it happens.
  4. Corrected scrimmage result White Station 1 Ridgeway 1 and White Station 4 Memphis Central 1 on Thursday.
  5. They appear to be a solid team but Houston, Collierville, Ridgeway, and Germantown are the power teams of district 15 and White Station will have to prove themselves during the regular season that they belong. White Station is in a very tough district. The first regular season game will be tough against DII ECS on the 24th. This game will be a better indicator of the team than scrimmages.
  6. Scrimmage Result White Station 1 Ridgeway 0 Played on a very muddy field...
  7. Scrimmage- White Station 2 Germantown 0 played in rain & wet conditions.
  8. White Station 2 Beech 1
  9. They lost Eric Evans, Auston Love, Mark Schmidt and a couple orthers who were key players but CBHS is loaded with club players so they just re-load each year. The 2003 class was the strongest class ever with 7 seniors from that team playing college ball right now. CBHS is always a contender, it is a matter of the chemistry each year. I think CBHS will be better than last year as they will be a more experienced team. MUS is peaking also, so I predict these will battle for 1-2 in the West.
  10. In the AAA West, Houston/Cordova again .... with dark horses, White Station, Bartlett, Ridgeway, Collierville, Germantown.
  11. I'm in the West , MUS, CBHS, ECS in the West as usual. Watch out for SBA (St. Benedict Academy). Program is growing with an excellent coach - expect them to be more competitive in the western district over the next few years..

    DII Final

I was a neutral observer and I thought the PK was called because the USN player made a recovery tackle after being beaten into the box by the MUS player. My view was that the USN defender was slightly behind on the tackle. The USN mistake was to allow a player to get behind the defense which leads to these types of calls. USN fought bravely the entire game but MUS was the better side this day. Props to both teams
  13. A/AA LC over CAK DII Knoxville Catholic over MUS AAA Houston over Brentwood
  14. My brother played for CBHS last year as a senior. If he read what Kingfish is spewing, he would take him behind the woodshed. Honor, Humility, Sportsmanship, or the trophy means nothing Kingfish. Respect your opponents. Props to USN on a great win.
  15. I agree with LCSoccer, Knoxville Catholic came close to winning it all last year and apparently Knoxville Webb is completely overlooked. I personally think Knoxville Catholic with surprise people due to their experience from making the semi-finals last year. They will have a good idea about CBHS this time around if they can get past a tough Father Ryan team. Knoxville Webb may be the biggest ? mark of all. Good luck to all and LCSoccer in A/AA. A brother
  16. Kingfish has just provided 7 DII teams with locker room material for next week. The target on the Brother's back is now the size of Goliath. Beware, David is out there somewhere.
  17. Do you really want to try to play nine games on the same field over two, maybe three days? One of the complaints earlier in the thread was that, aside from the stadium, the fields are overused. Another suggestion that a lot of people seemed to agree with was not having more than two consecutive games on any given field. Semi-Finals and Finals were played in the Chattanooga stadium without a problem prior to Memphis. The Semi-Finals were treated in a first class environment as it should be. Having the quarterfinals and semifinals at springfling all at the same time seemed more like herding cattle than displaying great individual matches. The TSSAA should consider this issue at the next bid.
  18. I think the State Semi-Final matches deserve to be played in the stadium. It would allow 6 more teams to be rewarded with a top class venue and let everyone know that these are precious games between the final 4 teams in each division. This would be a big improvement for everyone. The semi-final matches are also some of the best matches of the tournament. Just my thought.
  19. DII WEST Region Finals CBHS 3 ECS 0 CBHS wins West Region, ECS 2nd MUS 3 Briarcrest 0 MUS wins 3rd qualifier.
  20. Unless something has changed, I believe someone in the know posted to CoachT last year and explained that the scoreboards on the general fields are not wired and are used basically as a sponsor's board at this time. The stadium scoreboard is fully operation. Good luck
  21. CBHS 2 MUS 0 West Region DII ECS 1 Briarcrest 0 CBHS vs. ECS Championship next Tuesday MUS vs. Briarcrest for 3rd spot.
  22. CBHS is all about speed and quickness especially up top. That is what you need to worry about with them.
  23. I think That's Ignorant's rankings are just as accurate as the coaches poll. Travel players have a good sense of who the best teams are and I am sure the coaches don't see all the teams play either. They just vote on records, name, and other's coaches references like anyone else. Keep it up That's Ignorant, I think you have hit on a very good idea to have a "Players' Poll". If you build this, it would become the best poll in the state. I expect to see you in Memphis soon.
  24. Thanks Hoya75, I have a feeling this will be a great match this time. No one wants to play for 3rd in the West with their backs to the wall so this game will be a hard fought battle tomorrow. I also expect Briarcrest to give ECS a run tomorrow. We will see.....
  25. Can you tell me what time CBHS plays MUS and where at on Saturday? Thanks,
