  1. That's a bunch of Bull. The state of Tennessee can produce 10 players a year good enough for UT. This bunch of "We got to go out-of-state to get the nation's best" is a bunch of crap. About every player UT gets from Tennesssee is Good or turns into a solid player some form or fashion. Georgia doesn't recruit nationally like a bunch of Fools. Look at that game. Maryland doesn't either. Look at last year's game. You tellin me Maryland produces better talent the Tennessee. Another bunch of Bull. UT does a terrible job representing this state and that's a reason I will never support them. There is no loyalty what so ever. If you are for that, go right ahead. I think it's completely Idiotic.
  2. Gark242, How many players from Tennessee are on Vandy's Team? About 20. That's not good at all. You call that recruiting In-State Heavily. I can tell you are a UT-K Student. They are doing a great job at trying to get back in-state where they should have never left. UT-K on the other hand does a terrible job recruiting In-state. You don't have to recruit Nationally to Win. Look at LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. I did some research and counted UT-K had 30 players from Tennessee on the roster. Georgia had 73. What was the Georgia and UT score. Pretty good for a Atlanta Junior College. It would be easier for them to recruit nationall with there recent success don't you think. But they don't have to. I know what you're thinking, TN doesn't produce Talent like LA, GA, or FL. Bullcrap. They could easily get 10 a year from TN. But they don't. Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and other SEC teams have to come in here and scoop these players that UT rejects up. Are you going to run down Tennessee prospects on Tennessee High School Football Board? I hope not. Tennessee produces some great athletes and UT does a sorry job of recruiting it. That's Fact. I'm soory but actually Vandy, MTSU, Memphis, and UT do a sorry job. And for you to run down a school trying to start recruiting TN more is like slapping us Tennessee High School Football fans in the face. You can take your negative comments somwhere else. Does anybody have any updates on these players? Wilford Blowe Nathan Potter Carlos Dixon Brandon Patterson Justin Merritt That People's Kid for Hillsboro, I was very impressed with him. He nearly impressed me more than Fisher.
  3. I am a huge fan of recruiting and thought I would share this information to you guys. Tennessee produces alot of Athletes and it's a shame it's own state school in UT-K doesn't even recruit it. I am glad to see Vandy take interest in TN players. It would really help them. Sorry I left off A few like Stevens and Van Horne. My Fault. That being said, Does Stevens have a list or offers, and has Vandy offered any more of these guys and are any close to commiting. Thanks guys for all of your replies.

  9. Vanderbilt has offered Wilford Blowe a Scholarship. A great Athlete who is being recruited as an Athlete. An Athlete is someone who could play many different postions. I am referring to Division 1A and 1AA.
  10. The State of Tennessee is blessed with lots of great QB's this year. Many of Which have great D-1 Potential. These Four have been Offered Scholarships. 1. David Wolke 6'2/195/4.7 Smyrna H.S. Or if you would like to corect me or have someone else. Please Go right ahead. Hope You guys enjoy this, I'm gonna try to go with Every Position.
  11. Maryland recruits In-State and look at last year's Peach Bowl. Tennessee doesn't have to recruit nationally, They just choose to. Very few people in Tennessee get Recruited by Florida State, Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma be cause those schools recruit there state well. Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss would be more like it. There is where most of your talent goes. I'm not trying to argue. Those are just facts. I know where you are coming from.

Gordonsville High School has a very fine coaching staff and are very fornunate to have them and unlike a lot of schools all the coaches graduated from Gordonsville.Bob Dillard and staff have gone 21 and 5 the last 2 years and won 11 straight in the 2001 season. When it is all said and done Bob Dillard will go down as one of the best coaches Gordonsville has had and there has been some good ones.Ford,Medley,Winfree,Conditt,Wills and Dillard Have won a lot of games for the TIGERS.Good luck to the TIGERS and the tradition continues.....................................................................................................................................................

I beleive we dropped you in the Jamboree. Then you guys drop the Jamboree all together to be with us. And you are saying you don't need us. Yeah right. OldCHSman, Maybe you guys were afraid Gordonsville would kick that tail for you. It's what it sound like to me. When have y'all been worried about the play-offs? Look at our play-off record compared to ours. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. We have finished with a Gold ball and Silver Ball and have made it to the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals a number of times. You guys went 0-10 one year and got embaressed in the semi-finals one year. WOW! Isn't that a shocker? Can any of you tell me who is starting for the owls this year on each side of the ball? This is something that actually has something to do with the game.
  14. JimmyCash

    Smith Co.

Yes I do. It isn't like Terry Collins and the Carthage Courier that covers Smith County. This is the whole Mid-State. Great Comebacks Antwan. Fact is, you guys went 0-10 once and have not a single Gold or Silver Ball. Correct or not. Carthage will never drop Gordonsville. Too much $$$$$ for both schools. Y'alls Jamboree will be great this year without Gordonsville. But since they lost Gordonsville, a team these idiotic Carthage fans beleive does not bring money in to carthage, They don't even have a Jamboree. WOW! Then they use the Feild thing as an excuse. Let me ask you guys a question? There are Hills around your feild, Right. When it rains, Where does the Water go when it hits the hills? More in likely down the hill into the Hole or whatever you guys call it. It is still going to Flood. But that is Carthage people for you. And again Great Comebacks, Antwan. I'm glad I'm getting to you.

Take the 30 game winning streak you guys had and then look at it. 24-18-2. WOW. Who do y'all make more money off of than us? Trousdale County, maybe. Yes the game is a toss-up every year. You guys must have a short memory. You could consider us a Mecca, We have a Gold Ball and a Silver Ball. Plus we have never went 0-10 in our history. You guys have though. I guess Gordonsville beat y'all that year. Where did that double-Headed coin go that year? Plus I've been to a game over there when you guys played someone besides Gordonsville. Pretty Dead. The Tennessean ranked Turney Ford Feild the Fifth Best Atmosphere in the Mid-State. They didn't just rank the Carthage game. All together even Red Boiling Springs and Celina. Where was Mighty Carthage on that list? Not there. Why don't you guys let someone else pat you on the back instead of you patting each others backs? Talk about us with a big mouth.

    Smith Co.

I never said anything about the game. I was just letting you guys know about your stupid and idiotic comments you guys made earlier in the thread. You need the Gordonsville game. You need them in your Jamboree. When you don't have them in your jamboree you don't have one. And Fanman you don't own Gordonsville. That game is a toss-up every year. It's just went your way the past few years. But that can change. And yes you guys give lots of excuses. And don't get mad Consolidation will come up in another 50 years. You will never own Gordonsville.

    Smith Co.

Not having Gordonsville to bring the money in? Ever thought of that? If the feild will be ready by week 2 chances are it will be ready by Week 0. It isn't like they are plantinting the grass seed a week before the game. All that is, is an EXCUSE. Carthage people are good about giving those.

Seems as though Carthage High School will be playing in Trousdale County's Jamboree this year. It' weird that Carthage was still going to have there own Jamboree until Gordonsville High School dropped out to go to Trousdale County. Then Carthage drops their Jamboree to be with Gordonsville. Isn't that strange. Wouldn't y'all make more money if Oliver Springs or White House came to y'all's jamboree? I think not. Gordonsville and Carthage have one of the best rivalries in the state. Both towns have a dislike for each other (Adults and Kids). 5,000 to 10,000 people are there to watch it every year. The Atmosphere would take your breathe out on the feild. But Carthage fans have seemed to forgotten this. You guys beleive this is jusy another game. It's not. It's the Gordonsville-Carthage game. There is no other game like it. It would be nice if you guys would show some respect to Gordonsville. You guys start the arguments all the time. Show some respect.
  19. Who has a shot at D-1 Football this year and has anybody already been offered? If so by who? These are some I already know have been offered. Demonte Bolden (Tennessee) Jeff Jennings (Vanderbilt) David Wolke Kevin Maynard Wilford Blowe Tom Santi Corey Mills Earnest Williams Joseph Doss Antonio Heffner Cody Smith David Holbert Levonte Barber If there is anybody I left out please tell me? I don't want to leave anyone out. Plus if theres anybody you know that is being heavily recruited but no offers yet please tell me. Tennessee does a good job producing talent. Tennessee sent 60 to Division 1 schools last year. That's good.
  20. You guys are Hilarious. Vanderbilts All-Position Camp last sunday was said to be the Best or One of the Best camps in the Southeast. Alot of the Best players in Tennessee were there. They recruit the State just as much as Ut-Knoxville does. That's Terrible when a private University has nearly as many Scholarship players as the big state school. Let's look past that though. Ut-Knoxville has to get the best from everywhere. No Maryland recruits Maryland which produces maybe half as many as D-1's as Tennessee does and they whipped Ut's Tail bad. Vandy runs a very clean program unlike Phil Fulmer and Ut-Knoxville. But let's try to run them in the ground. It isn't like no one ever has. You guys know not what you speak and you sound like idiots. Just telling the truth.

What is a MEGA? Is that South Carthage talk?

You guys play Cannon County. They usually beat Taft Youth Center or Lighthouse Christian. But last few years they barely beat either one. An opponent Red Boiling Springs beats year in and year out rather easily. Don't tell me about a weak schedule. Who moved to 3A because they are scared of David Limpscomb and Goodpasture? So yall could play Baxter, Jackson County, Cannon County, and Dekalb County. You guys want Gordonsville to play a tough schedule but not yourselves. Get your stories right. August 29 at Turney Ford Feild will be a Battle between two good football teams. It will come down between who makes the big play. Who will it be? Gordonsville or Carthage???

I have seen the Gordonsville-Carthage rivalry played and it is one of the best in the state. And you want to get rid of that. I beleive you guys are scared to get beat by a 1A school. Gordonsville-Carthage game makes alot of money for each school. I know for a surity Oliver Springs would not make more money. White House either. Let's see how good that Jamboree of yall's is without the Tigers of Gordonsville. Probably not that good. Gordonsville will give you guys a run for your money this year. They have some good returning Seniors and Juniors. You guys are so cocky. Plus on the school name deal. All the Gordonsville people know SCHS stands for South Carthage High School and SCP stands for South Carthage Pride. Gordonsville has something Carthage will never own, a State Championship. No matter what your reply is just think about that.
