Teachthegame you need a history lesson if you think the program was sliding before super spencer and he got what he deserved!

Covington is still the team to beat. They have a great chance to play in Mboro again this year. Crockett has a great program, but now we will see how really good they are. The #4 in region 7 will have a good chance to beat #1 in region 6 next year.

Nobody is harder on the coaches than themselves. Knowing this coaching staff, I know they take all the blame for this season. I'm sure they will work hard as soon as the season is over to get ready for next year. But from a players standpoint, and to quote a former Rebel coach "Don't say you want to be a Champion, and not do the things it takes to be a Champion".

This is just what I heard about their reason not to broadcast the games. Rodney Taylor owner of the station hired a consultant, who recomended a new format that did not include coverage of local teams. According to the people who told me this, they lost almost 90% of their listeners when they aired local games. Radio stations are getting bigger and newer towers that extend thier coverage over a larger areas. He knew he would take alot of slack over this decision, but he payed alot of money for the consultant. He is going to try it and see how it works. This is just what I heard. I don't know if it is true or not.l

It's not about being physically tough. It is about being mentally tough. I thinks kids today lack the mental toughness to play through the pain. You spring your ankle now and you are out for 2 weeks. if you sprang your ankle 20 years ago, you taped and went on. Alot of it has to do with lawsuits now. If a kid goes to the trainer with an injury, the trainer has to cover him or herself and the company they work for. They can't afford to put a kid back in action that is complaining about an injury. It goes back to mental toughness.

I hope not because they didn't stop that either.

yeah this is one of the players from obion central this year and lake co has played us in an earlier scrimmage this year. there were no hard feelings between the teams and both played very well. coach witby talked to the SR players on the team that were freshman his last year.obion came out on top during the scrimmage but the lake co team looks very strong and very young they will be hard to be in a few years

Any more opinions? I believe if oc doesn't get the big head and think this will be an easy game then they will seal a trip to the third round.

Everyone is healthy except a few bumps and bruises and im not family i am jeremiah mind me asking who you are?

2 weeks ago obion played brighton and came away with a 42-7 win at brighton this week they will have a rematch at obion. I believe if obion takes brighton lightly then it could cost them a loss, but i do not believe this central team will lay down just yet. If this obion team plays like they did against kingsbury in the first round i beleive they could go all the way, but they must take one game at a time starting with the brighton cardinals.

I believe obion is going to win. They have a very diciplined team and if they do not give up big plays then they will pull through with a victory.

Obion has won 7 of their last 8 games and Kingsbury is 7-3 as well. This is a huge game for the rebels becuase they havent won a playoff game in the history of their school. Do ya'll think the rebels can win their first playoff game?

who do you think wil prevail in this game? Obion central is coming off a win over humbolt and brighton also has a winning record. This game decides which teams will have home field playoff advantage and will determine the standings in regoin 7-3A.
