Comes to Jackson from Magnolia Heights, a private school in Senatobia, Ms. He is a Fayette Academy grad.

There's been a Sisco in charge at Union City every year but one since 1987. The late Ray Wilson served in between in 1998-99, I would guess Bill Kail would be a leading contender.

Nothing really but but some "hot tea" but don't be surprised.

Many great players from the West over the years, outside Memphis. Highlighted by 1992 when it swept Mr. Basketball. Class A-Steve Hamer-Middleton and Class AA-Stanley Caldwell-Union City both went to Tennessee. Class AAA-Tony Delk-Haywood went north to Kentucky.

Interim Coach Hamilton Hudson now has full-time gig at Obion Central.

Thank you, that's kind. It got jumbled when I edited it bit the info is there.

You were fortunate to be recognized and get a ring.

Yes, missed 91 White Co., had 92. Possibly something else but not several. Please continue to point out anything I missed but point still the same. Both have been great areas for girls basketball for a over 50 years. West Tennessee has spread their balls over more schools but they also have more schools due to less consolidation.

Thanks! I knew I'd miss something trying to "juggle so many balls"

I've followed or broadcast high school basketball since 1978 and have seen some epic girls teams. For most of those 47 years there has been a friendly rivalry/discussion about which area has the "best" girls basketball, the Upper Cumberland or West Tennessee. Though I'm from the West, I recognize they're both awesome hotbeds for girls hoops. After this year featuring two more "head to head" matchups for Gold Balls I decided to do the research. The state recognizes 14 counties being a part of the "Upper Cumberland" region so I trimmed West Tennessee to 14. I left out Shelby and its two neighbors Tipton & Fayette and the "river counties" of Henry,Benton, Decatur, and Hardin that are the furthest east. That brings the West to 14 counties. The proof is in the numbers. Who's "best" is subjective. Bottom line they've both been dang good for a long time" The starting point is 1973 when classification began. Upper Cumberland 34 Gold Balls, 35 Silver West Tennessee 38 Gold Balls 26 Silver Take some trips down Memory Lane Well, trying to edit and add Macon's 2013 Silver jacked up how the post looks but you get the idea. I suggested this on broadcasts for years! Instead of sending one official to the 3 tournaments, send a single crew and rotate where they call each year. Same number of officials get to state and they work with people they're familiar with.

No problem. It's all good. Hate Lady Pioneers couldn't get back to defend.

This is what I have been trying to get across. Thank you for understanding and maybe helping make the point. Sheesh.
