well, "theone".... i don't believe that it helps a team when a coach sits there and doesn't listen to what his players have to say.. he is just so stubborn that he thinks his way is the best and won't swallow his pride and listen to somebody else on what they think should happen... and i don't believe it helps when a coach chews his team out and gets down on his players and points out a few and make them feel like they aren't needed on the team... i don't believe you call that COACHING .. do you??? or how about a coach that when his team gets behind in a game pretty bad, he just sits there and laughs about it or cracks jokes on his players... is that COACHING??? I DON'T THINK SO BUDDY!!! I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN OVER THERE TO HEAR BARTLETT SAYING THIS BUT WHEN EVERY SINGLE PLAYER COMES OUT AND SAYS THE SAME EXACT THING... YOU THINK THAT, EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT, THE COACH NEEDS TO REMEMBER WHAT HIS ROLE IS IN THESE PLAYERS LIVES.. TO COACH .. NOT TO PARENT.. AND NOT TO DISRESPECT THEIR PARENTS BY SAYING DEGRADING THINGS ABOUT THEM. AND THE COMMUNITY OWES SOMETHING TO BARTLETT,.. I BELIEVE BARTLETT SHOULD BE THINKING US THAT HE HAS BEEN HERE THIS LONG... HE HAS DONE GOOD BUT HIS TIME IN LEBANON HAS COME AND GONE AND HE NEEDS TO DO THE SAME.

THE LEBANON BLUE DEVILS DID A GREAT JOB THIS WEEKEND IN THE MILLINGTON TOURNAMENT. THEY WENT 2-2, WINNING 2 FRIDAY AND LOSING 2 TODAY. THEY BEAT J.C.M. 10-9, COMING BACK IN THE LAST INNING SCORING 6 RUNS, AND HARDIN CO. 9-5. THEY LOST THIS MORNING TO KENNET, MO. 14-1 AND LOST TO CORDOVA IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 7-4. GREAT JOB BLUE DEVILS!!! ( THERE'S A STORY BEHIND THESE LAST TWO GAMES FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD ) :confused:

Thats a good question.. what is the real reason Bartlett is resigning? There's been a bunch of rumors about why he is leaving but noone really knows. From what I have heard about this season from people, Bartlett isn't the only one who the thinks this is the right move. I believe there has been a lot of tension in the team among players/players and players/coaches. I believe ####. Coach Ben Bowers is leaving also but he hasn't said. I've always been a fan of Lebanon and I thought they would have had a little bit better season than they have had. I've seen them play this year a couple of times and I wouldn't say that it is all the players fault that they have had the season that they have had. [Edited by ohwhatdoyouknow on 4-19-03 11:51P]

Can anyone else on Lebanon tell me why Norris didn't play this past weekend in the Cumberland Co. Tour.? I was wanting to see how he did with the lumber. This fella will be one to watch the rest of the season and next season

Hey, baseball7... could ya tell me where some of the boys were? I heard that Norris didn't play at all this tourny, was he hurt or something, and i heard that Forrest wasn't there for either game Sat. Was the coach trying something new or what.. i don't understand

where do these guys play at that you thing are the best.. i don't know a whole lot about other regions or districts because i keep up with just the ones i live near and think are good... some of the best juniors i have seen are.. David Price- Blackman, House- Blackman, Alex Watson- Riverdale, Hines- Oakland, Norris- Lebanon, Parker- Wilson Central, Conner- W.C., Adkins- W.C, Pickett- White H.

yeah, our boy Davenport is good and ready to go. His eye is fine cause he got him a turkey Sunday in the rain. And yes that is the correct record for us. And we did get rained out tonight but we are making it up Wed. (home) and play tom. (at Cookeville) Thanks for caring Falcons.

they have guys who do their job effectively and win as a team... it's not just one guy who wins it for them... they play hard and as a team and thats why they are still undefeated ... My Hat is off to this group of guys and their coaching staff... they are the best i've seen in a while.

Lebanon won a double header last Sat. against White House (11-5) and (5-3). They lost tonight though on a heart breaker to Gallatin 9-5. They play Warren Co. tues. and wed. Go DEVILS!!!

Lebanon's Nick Norris is a very good player and has great potential to be a D-1 prospect. He is a great team leader and has a lot of passion to play the game. This kid is going to be great so be looking for him.

yeah, i agree trueblue, Nick is a very good player with a lot of potential. He will be a good leader next year, especially since he is one of the top leaders this year. He might not always have a outstanding game or get a hit every game but he gives a 110% when it comes time to lace up the cleets and hit the field. He struggled at the beggining of the season but looks like he is starting to get things in order and start making a name for himself around the district. The one thing I like most about this kid, is the way he carries himself. He always looks like he is ready to play and does anything he can to get into the game. Also, another thing that I really like about him and I know that other coaches have seen, is his base running abilities, and from what I have been told, that is what he loves to do and takes pride in, is his running.

Lebanon should be at 4-2... they won 2 games on saturday (Antioch-4 at Lebanon-6) and (Gallatin-4 at Lebanon-7). So the standings need to be updated.. how do we send in our scores other than on here?

o.k..... what does it look like after the first week now? how well did all the teams do in the tourney's this weekend? Or just regular season games? j/w what the records are for each of the teams right now. please post if you know... i heard Oakland did well against the all mighty Germantown (2-0). Lebanon came in 5th in their tourn. Did Blackman lose one already? What about Riverdale? Did Cookeville come in near last in the Wilson Tourn.? :confused:
