  1. Tougher week this week. I asked for a few opinions before making my final decision on the Warren Cty vs Coffee Cty being moved due to the weather and decided that if you had already picked the game prior to Thursday night's kickoff, then it counted. 7-3 5A football fan 6-3 timbdp (Coffee County was picked after the game was over on Thursday night) 6-4 jabbo 5-5 FrOnTrOiLbRo 31 THE SQUAD 4-4 wingman10 4-6 reaction Phoenix27 Bacillum 3-7 93grad

  3. I won't be eating anything. I am in region 3 myself. I am simply making an opinionated observation that region 4, from top to bottom, is stronger this year than region 3 is. I don't think you will find many people that will disagree to that. I will be pulling for all 4 region 3 teams in the first round, but they will all have their hands full.
  4. You're right, my son's team didn't make it, but since he is only 5, I don't think that is an issue. I'm not bitter at all. Cookeville simply came in our house and kicked our rear ends. That is all there is to it. The officials didn't affect the outcome of the game in any way. The game was played on the field and the team that wanted it more won it. I just think Region 3 is down overall this year and Region 4 seems to be stronger overall this year. I hope it is not one of those years that all four of our teams are sitting at home the second round of the playoffs.
  5. Congrats on your Region championship, but you will be lucky to make it past the first round of the playoffs.
  6. The end of the regular season is upon us. Here ya go!! Lincoln County (6-3) @ Cumberland County (0-9) Cumberland County is once again the HOT PICK Franklin County (2-7) @ Cookeville (6-3) Warren County (4-5) @ Coffee County (3-6) Goodpasture (9-0) @ CPA (8-1) Jo Byrns (9-0) @ Cascade (9-0) Ravenwood (6-3) @ Dickson County (7-2) B.T. 9. Lincoln County has definitely played a stronger non region schedule than has Cookeville although it doesn't really matter when these two teams take the field against one another. Lincoln County's two losses have come against Franklin (7-1) and Riverdale (7-1), while Cookeville's have come against Ooltewah (8-0), 4-A Cleveland (7-1) and Lebanon (6-2). Both teams have lost to quality opponents so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out. IF the Falcons can limit the fumbles, and play defense like they have all year, I say it should be Lincoln County 24 Cookeville 14
  10. I see ole' tim is waiting for jabbo to post again this week so he can mirror his in order to protect that lead!!! If it isn't posted by 6:30 CDT, it doesn't count!!!!
  11. Lincoln County (7-2) If the Falcons can hold on to the ball, that is!! Baylor (7-2) Jefferson County (3-6) Pope John Paul II (6-3) Warren County (4-5) Wooddale (8-1) Fulton (8-1) Austin-East (6-2) Stratford (7-2) Crockett County (8-0)
  12. Riverdale Smyrna (sorry 2p.......) Lavergne Wilson Central Independence Dickson County Bearden ( I honestly think SC will win, but everyone else is picking them and I need to catch up!!) Lincoln County (If we hold on to the ball, we should get this one!!)
  13. It would be a nailbiter, but I'd take it!!!!!
  14. I don't know about the hundred yards total offense part, but I sure hope you are right about the rest. Lincoln County has yet to beat Cookeville in The Pit so they better be fired up and ready to play their A game Friday night if they are going to break that streak. If we don't hold on to the ball any better than we have the past two games, Cookeville's offense may not need 100 yards of offense to put enough points on the board to win.
  15. I agree with you totally jabbo. Our reserved section is ENTIRELY too large..... They need to shrink it and give the home town fans a seat on the home side, where they should be sitting. On the average, 1/3 of the crowd on the visitor's side are Lincoln County fans. And rude ones at that.....
  16. He's just clearing up who was hit out of bounds. Don't see anything wrong with that. Good luck Coffee County, beat Baylor!!!
  17. I have to disagree with you on the personal foul on the touchdown. If Harris had already left his feet before Ramsey crossed the goal line, then I expect to see him in the next summer olympics because Ramsey was at least five yards into the endzone when he was hit. I do agree that Coffee County didn't capitalize on Falcon turnovers. Lincoln County cannot keep fumbling 5 times a game and expect to win, especially when you lose four of those five fumbles. Good luck to the Raiders to win out.
  18. Here the picks for championship week in Region 3-5A: Cookeville (5-3) @ Lincoln County (6-2) Baylor (6-2) @ Coffee County (3-5) Cumberland County (0-8) @ Jefferson County (2-6) Pope John Paul (5-3) @ Franklin County (2-6) Warren County (3-5) @ Sequatchie County (0-8) Wooddale (7-1) @ Germantown (5-3) Carter (8-0) @ Fulton (7-1) Austin-East (5-3) @ Knoxville Webb (5-3) Stratford (6-2) @ Tullahoma (5-3) Crockett County (8-0) @ Covington (7-1) Reminder: Also picks must be submitted by 6:30 CDT on the day of the game. Anything 6:31 or later will not count.
  19. It surely doesn't take much to fall down when you get shoved in the back. The film doesn't lie pal. But, you know what, it doesn't matter, all that means that instead of losing 34-11, you lost 34-18..... "butt is beat" you have got to be kidding me, he was stride for stride with the guy.....
  20. The play in the end zone when the quarterback was being sacked and tried to throw the ball away and the Falcons recovered it in the end zone should have resulted in no less than two points for Lincoln County. He was either sacked (a safety), intentional grounding in the endzone (again, a safety), or he fumbled the ball and Lincoln County's #79 recovered it in the endzone (touchdown). Refs definitely blew that one. It's no big deal since the Falcons won, but I remember reading someone's post about having to go to the Pit and play the Falcons and the refs. The refs pretty much called a good game last night, but if they were calling in favor of either team, it DEFINITELY wasn't the home team!!! Oh yeah, the phantom feet tangling on the CC touchdown pass when the only thing that got tangled up was the receivers forearm in the defenders back as he was pushing him down......

  23. All of the Falcons are at 100% for tonight's game. It should be a good one. Hope everyone from Coffee County has a safe trip down, and that we have a good officiating crew, that both teams play hard, and that the best team wins the game.
