  1. I am pulling for South tonight for just that reason Crawdad.....Conference win. We do not need any losses to a 3A team no matter how good they are, that goes for 4A teams as well.
  2. South vs Elizabethton should be a real good game, a look ahead to a Conference Game next year. I will go with South in a close game - 28-27 Take Alcoa over Greeneville and give the 35 points....it will cover easy 55-00
  3. Greeneville will have their hands full in 4A East TN next year when Sullivan South drops down.....And about this Friday, if Alcoa is a pretty good football team, they win by 7 TD's minimum and may hang 72 on 'em.
  4. It will be THE BIG 6 - all the same less then 4A SULLIVAN SOUTH AND SULLIVAN CENTRAL. The TSSAA should have voted to drop back to only 5A in Football but they didn't... District 1 AAA (5A/6A Football) will consist of: Dobyns-Bennett, Science Hill, Tennessee High, Daniel Boone, David Crockett and Volunteer and they will all have 5 Conference Games and 5 Non-Conference Games. Everyone will be able to build up their schedule to be more Playoff ready, but will they? As I said, DB will not re-up the Clinton Game, no way they play a 4A Sullivan Central Team and I would just about bet the farm that the South Series is dead and gone to never return, especially with South being 4A, it would be like playing Greeneville. Going 4A will be great for the South Rebels...look out Green Devils. Roll Tribe Roll
  5. Where to improve? The Scheduling, period. I know that DB/Clark has been tied the last 4 years with this Big 8 Conference and only having 3 games to schedule non-conference opponents, but next season that should change, with as many as 5 games to be played outside the Conference. It is widely believed that Sullivan South and Sullivan Central will both drop from 3A/5A to 2A/4A next year and the Indians have already announced that the Clinton Series is over. So, keep Sevier County always, keep Farragut I guess...both are 6A Football Schools...now go out and get 3 quality opponents for the other games. Roll Tribe Roll
  6. DB has over 350 yds rushing and over 500 total yards of offense. 0 Turnovers. Scored every possesion until the back ups were getting reps in, 1 punt. THE DB DUO is hard to catch and even harder to tackle. Regular Season Win #28 in a row. Clark goes to 193-42 as DB Head Coach. Good win. Roll Tribe Roll
  7. Swafford and Foreman....THE DB DUO Roll Tribe Roll
  8. I think this is going to be a hard hitting, tough ballgame. Boone always plays the Indians tough, at least for the 1st half and I expect the same. Hoping for no injuries on either team, and good officials Roll Tribe Roll
  9. Coach Clark said on radio tonight that the surguery went very weill and they expect a "good as new" recovery. Cook is up walking around and came to practice today and lifted the Team Spirits. #12 will be on the Sideline Friday Night in J.Fred Johnson Stadium. I know the Indain faithful with give Cookie a huge round of applause! Hip Hip!! Roll Tribe Roll
  10. I think containing Swafford is going to be very difficult to do...for sure, don't kick deep to either #6 or #8. And loosing Cook is a huge loss for the Indians...Foreman will take most snaps I think with Soph. East #10 coming in as he can. I don't think East is a threat to run with the ball, nothing like Cook.
  11. Yep, we have...but that one stuck out because that '07 Team was really good with Duran Duran Ferguson at QB and DB had never lost to Karns (and never did again), who I think went 5-5 that year. The Beavers did play good...and the Ref calls that went against DB were really just in the first half, the second half old momentum was on the Home Teams side and DB got beat. The flags early called a TD back and stopped another drive in its tracks. Sasquatch...what do you think about this Friday's game?
  12. I can't imagine the Indians Team not being fired up to play Friday night. 1st home game in a month, since week 0. Plus another undefeated team to play, they will be sky high and I would hope the Home Crowd is too. Oh, I was at the Karns game you mentioned, mid-October -07, chilly night, almost cold. Karns had a good tailback and the refs may have had a little something to do with it also...they sure cook good, because you could smell the home cookin' all night long. Starting to get the Jimmy Leg Roll Tribe Roll
  13. Cook 320 yards rushing and 4TD's. DB91 is right, 100%. DB has thrown very few times, and Forman was the recipient of most of those passes....Will Clark keep that philosophy and run run run against Boone? I'd say he will, but that East kid is a good QB, so the defense's had better not sale out totally on the run or they could get burnt....and Forman can make an accurate pass, I think he hit a deep pass on Boone last year when Cook got that Concussion in the game. And Swafford is just as unstoppable on a pass play, maybe more. I am really fired up to see how DB reacts Firday night without Cook and with it being the first home game in 4 weeks. I think Graham will 'em coached up real good by Friday....going for DB win #193 Roll Tribe Roll
  14. Thanks for the report....The QB - Littleton has good size, 6-2 and is a Senior. Boone has a super RB in Cliff Sanders and I bet Ryan Gaitor does about everything for the Blazers. I think Boone will play though
  15. This will be the first Home Game for Dobyns-Bennett since the opener against Farragut, I expect the team will be fired up to show off in front of the home crowd. Graham Clark reached a milestone last week in going 150 games over .500...he is 192-42 as Head Coach for the Indians. The G-Man is coaching his tail off this year and I think he is having a lot of fun doing it. Roll Tribe Roll
  16. You know, if you think about it...the back up QB that had TD drives was #10 - East, not Holt. East looked good in late action without starters for a nice drive against Clinton on the road and a late drive against South, he also had a drive late against Sevier County for a FG. East may get the action with Foreman at QB. I still think that Foreman is really dangerous at QB, but he is just or more dangerous as WR. I wonder who Boone's QB is? Anybody got the stats and how he has played thru 4 games...must be good, they have won them all Roll Tribe Roll
  17. A Batman Best Seller!! Classic. I can read that while riding on the short bus.
  18. I'd say 6-0 to 6-1...your thinking of Froto Bagins I guess
  19. That's the hand we are delt in 2012 Sasquatch. I could be wrong and Clark may put Holt in at QB...I would be shocked if that happened, he is just not ready and is not going to be any better of a passing threat than Foreman would be. Up to me, I am going with Foreman and he and Swafford would have the ball 8 out of every 10 plays.
  20. I hate it for DB's Chris Cook that his Senior year has been cut short by a clean hard tackle going into the end zone against Sevier County. He was running Graham Clarks offense to increadible results...he had it down. Cook is a great Indian...I guess is overall record is 15-1 as starter, going undefeated as a Junior thru the regular season. Cook had a big year going for DB: 23-34 380yds 4TD's 3Int. and about 290 yards rushing with 3 TD's. I sure hope he recovers well and fast, I know he will work his tail off. Roll Tribe Roll
  21. We won't throw it to anybody. Holt is not close to being ready to start at QB...it has to be Foreman. Clark has said 100 times that he has to figure out a way to get Mailk more touches and more touches he will have. You may have not seen how Foreman runs the offense when he was at QB against Sevier County...it was very effective....you don't have to throw the ball if they can't catch you and Clark has 2 guys nobody is going to catch Roll Tribe Roll
  22. I can't believe that both or either Central and Volunteer was used in a sentence that refers to "the best game of the week"...and I don't think that for a minute. The game of the week to me is DB vs DB, but I am a little bias. I will be very interested to see how the Indians offense runs without Chris Cook at QB...I really think that Foreman will run the offense with little difference in results, we just can't get in a passing contest with anybody. And the South vs TN High game should be a barn burner. Kingsport 45 Gray 13 Sullivan South 27 TN High 26 Science Hill 55 Crockett 06 Church Hill 27 Blountville 16
