  1. Yeah, okay LOL! Four Semi-final appearences, 2001, 2002, 2007 + BlueCross Bowl Finalists that year ,2008, and 2009 . 100-30 record since 2000. We don't play anyone...okay. Mighty big list of accomplishments in only 10 years for a team that doesn't play anybody. But, we've been accused of that for the last 10 years so it's nothing new. We used to be an average to subpar team and schools used to beat up on McKenzie, well now McKenzie is having success so people say we don't play anybody to explain the success, those excuses will never stop either. Don't really know why I find the need to defend McKenzie to you when our success speaks for itself. But, it's quite humbling to hear from the very mouths of Trousdale County's fans that we're the best team they played all year, perhaps even last year, too, according to some fans. There's no doubt about how good TC is, going to state is routine for them. You going to accuse them of not playing anybody either? Tell me, you're name has Milan in it...you from Milan or Westview, because you sure act like you're from Westview considering your interest in Zeick. And considering we don't play anybody, what team has Westview played thats really any better than the teams we've been playing? We all gotta play from roughly the same bunch of schools as yall. And nobody ever said Zeick was going to be the starter, nor has anybody said that he's our "savior," you said those words yourself. Zeick will have the earn the job.
  2. You know, I find the attacks very funny. If Zeick isn't a decent quarterback, why do people from Westview and elsewhere, that claim to be familiar with him, come here on CoachT and in public, continually bring him up in conversations and talk trash him. The fact people seem to keep trash talking him makes it sound like people aren't very happy he left, because trash talking is a sign of fear, anger, and arrogance. And from what I hear, Zeick rarely ever got to play, despite being the back up, and that the freshman quarterback was always the one in the JV and B-games. Sounds like Zeick never got a chance to get some real experience out there except in practice. I think people keep trashing talking Zeick because they are scared of what Coach Comer could do with Zeicks potential, considering his reputation with quarterbacks.
  3. All I have to say is Humboldt has some athletes. With a little bit better play calling decisions, Humboldt can very easily be a formidable team capable of having success in the playoffs.
  4. Did you join here tonight simply to trash talk him and his family? Because you register and the first thing you do is start talking about him being selfish. Is it selfish to go to a school where you at least you have a chance to play? Obviously I haven't met him or his family personally, but I can say the McKenzie football program didn't get to where it is now by having idiots for football coaches, actually it's quite the contrary. If Zeick does become the starter, that'd be because he worked hard over the spring and summer and proved himself to be worthy of the starting position.
  5. Yep. Zeke, I believe his name is, was never 'promised' the starting position. He's obviously gonna have to work hard this Spring and Summer in catch up mode but whoever the starter is will obviously be the best quarterback. Coach Comer has a reputation of producing good quarterbacks so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens this summer.
  6. From what I'm aware of, Luke may be a starting linebacker this next season depending on what him and the coaches decide. As for the quarterback situation, I'm not divulging information as I'm not entirely sure, but from what I know, the kid from Westview didn't move to McKenzie to be a back up when he could have stayed at Martin and stayed a back up. As for TSSAA rules, he lives in the city limits of McKenzie, which I believe makes him eligible to play.
  7. Thanks RebelDad! I greatly appreciate it. I'm glad you and everybody else has enjoyed the website.
  8. I can say that while you can blatantly see #44 jab him in the eye, and immediately after #27 starts reaching for his eye, it's hard to tell if it was intentional or not. But either way, it was a good game and I wish the best to Adamsville and it's players and fans.
  9. The only thing your right about is it's not acceptable!!!!!!! now i didnt see it im just sayin.. After rewatching the game film, it's on there plain as day. 44 tried to get off Jake, then landed back on Jake and spread his fingers out and blatantly jabbed it into his face. I'll include it in the highlight reel so people can see it.
  10. Coach Comer doesn't have 100 wins yet, he still has to leading the Rebels to a victory over Adamsville. And Yes, in Coach Comers 10 (2000-2009) years as head coach at McKenzie, we've been to the playoffs every year. The only losing season we had was in 2004 when we went 5-6 after a shocking upset by Cheatham County in the 1st Round.
  11. LOL. After all the coaching clinics they've been to, I believe the McKenzie coaching staff knows quite a bit how to properly train their athletes.
  12. I wasn't talking about huntington! Duh! The boys up front I guess I should say, y'all aren't big up there ( not a cut down just fact ) but they play well! In all the games I've seen this year, I haven't seen too many who were bigger than the boys we have on our line.
  13. I can go ahead and tell you, regardless of what McKenzie fans may say, the Rebel coaching staff and players aren't under estimating Riverside, or Westwood. I do know the coaching staff was at the Riverside game a few weeks ago so they already know what Riverside is capable of.
  14. People can blame it on the weather all they want, McKenzie and Huntingdon played on the same field in the same conditions. Might just be my opinion, but it seems like the refs weren't exactly helpful to us.
  15. You know, it'd be cool for us to play Adamsville in the playoffs again, even the regular season. Be a reunion for Coach Thomas, since he played and graduated from Adamsville High School in the 70s.
  16. I really can't help but laugh at your belief that some "dumb calls by the refs" actually prevented Dresden from winning the game. How about McKenzie is just a whole lot better than Dresden.
  17. Heard it might get moved over to Bethel...true?? There's no truth to it. I've heard that and its been going around here the last couple days but isn't true. The idea was mentioned, but the Rebels are playing on their home field, I've also been made aware that WLJT is scheduled to be at the game, too.
  18. Do u eva work anything but your jaws! Anyways I may mk it dwn there fri nt 2 c what the stangs have got for the rebels, I Holla ! Come on man, txt talk on a forum? There's probably quite a few of people here that can't decipher that lol.
  19. Yes, Chris Donald of UT is a native of Huntingdon, TN.
  20. I know its probably already been said but man I wish the bye week was already over. I feel like this is gonna be one of the best games of the season and I'm really looking forward to seeing two good teams with really good running backs go head to head. October 30th isn't getting here quick enough.
  21. That's not quite what I was referring to, but I'm sure you already knew that. I can't fault a coach for giving his younger players one more shot, regardless of how much time is left, thats just my opinion. But jeez, move on. Leave history in the past.
  22. For one, the Greenfield game was last year, it's old news. Two, there were several Sophomores and Freshman that played in the game, want proof, watch the highlight reel and compare the jersey numbers to this years roster and what grade they're in. The only reason why some of the Varsity guys had to play is because they had to, there wasn't anybody to really fill the position, and it's that way every year, it's unavoidable in Single A. Three...I may be mistaken, so I'd have to check myself, but I believe I recall the JV coach is the one who was calling the plays near the end of the game. I don't remember the details of this particular game very much, but if you've got a bunch of JV and Freshman players and you're near the endzone, is it a smart decision on the part of your young players getting experience on a Friday night to take a knee and end the game? Yeah, I remember really well when Huntingdon was doing that to every team they played, running the score up on people. I know I didn't fuss...that was typical Huntingdon at the time, it was to be expected.
  23. All I can really say is that a team from Carroll County will win this one. Go Rebs!
  24. While I know there's been quite a few responses to these posts earlier, I've noticed myself that it seems like there's been several posts from people blaming the McKenzie coaching staff and players for "running up the score," to people saying McKenzie is known for being "unsportsmanlike." Some of this is coming from people full of hot air looking to trash talk McKenzie and then you have some coming from people who were actually at the game and want to point fingers. McKenzie is a classy team with a classy coaching staff. Yeah, you're gonna have players trash talking but thats football; that doesn't make it unsportsmanlike like some of you are saying. I won't be surprised if in the future the TSSAA requires that all games be played in complete silence, players and fans alike. They ought to be ashamed for running up the score. One of the oldest excuses by fans in all of sports. Now I could understand the grievances if McKenzie left its varsity team in the game, but if your team can't even stop the JV and Freshman players from scoring points, then quit blaming and get better.
