  1. I'm just dying to know the answer to that.
  2. Didn't quite expect the outcome to be what it was, but a great win nonetheless. Defense was stellar and the offense played very exceptional. Funny thing is, I worked with a guy at Bethel College over the summer and he knew a player from Dresden, and the kid said they were going to whoop us.
  3. Yeah mrbigster is correct. Lake County wins, McKenzie wins: McKenzie plays at home TCA wins, McKenzie wins: McKenzie plays at TCA Lake County wins, JCS wins: Lake County plays at JCS If all goes to plan, the Rebels could very likely play the entire playoffs at home.
  4. Game will also be broadcasted on the internet at WHDMRadio.com. Click the Rebel Man on the right side of the website. Or you can just use this link here: mms://70.154.117.98:1493
  5. 2A schools do not count in this contest. That means of the 1a schools, only 3 teams scored 20+ points. The average score is 21, no team scored more than 22 points. Of those 3 games, our average score is 48. The best of the 1a schools we have played was Lake County, a very good team at that and we held them to 20 points, and they beat Fayette Academy, the same team to beat JCS. So the point that our defense has allowed a few teams to score an average of 21 points is irrelevant considering our offense has scored nearly double the points our opponents score. If you start including 2A teams we've played, all of which are very good, we dominated, all with the exception of Trenton which the Rebels played very poorly. Either way you look at it, JCS and McKenzie are both very exceptional teams and looks to be a very good contest.
  6. Hey, when you mean Sub-State, do mean the Semi Finals? If so, McKenzie made it twice. 2001 and 2002. McKenzie/Westview & McKenzie/Mitchell
  7. I'd like to wish the best to those players from South Fulton who were injured. One was pretty seriously hurt. I believe it was on the punt, the snap was over thrown and the punter was leveled. I heard his knee was knocked out of whack and was sent to Martin. Another player had a concussion.
  8. Quite surprising, I figured more people would have been aware of McKenzie by now. McKenzie has been very good since at least 2000. 2000 - (11-2) 2001 - (13-1) 2A Champions - State Semi Finals 2002 - (9-5) State Semi Finals 2003 - (9-3) 2005 - (8-5) That I am aware of, since Coach Comer has been here, the Rebels have had only 1 bad year and that was in 2004. Especially in 2001 and 2002, I couldn't imagine what might have happened if we were down in Single A.
  9. Yeah, like Butchie said.. We played Huntingdon, Trenton, and Dresden from AA. Dresden's record may not reflect it, however they are a good team; they've just run into some tough luck like Huntingdon. Preseason: McNairy Central - AAA Lexington Crocket County Bolivar Stewart County - AA Mt. Pleasant - A If we could've I'm sure we would have tried to schedule more teams outside our classification, but outside of Trenton, Huntingdon, and Dresden the Rebs season is filled up with all Region games.
  10. I have to go with Bruceton on this game. They are a very good team and shouldn't be underestimated. Good luck to both teams.
  11. Don't know much about what biggdaddy is requesting, but I do know the McKenzie game will be broadcasted on the internet at whdmradio.com - just click on the Rebel Man.
  12. I'd like to say Union City will get this win but I really don't know. Bruceton has some good talent so it might be a hard fought game. Good luck to both teams.
  13. Congrats Coach Comer! This is a well deserved award.
  14. Congrats!!!! I just wish I could have been there. I'm up here in Morristown with Bethel College as we play Union College later today. Great job players! Would like to congratulate the players and coaches, especially dad, for the job well done.
  15. Bolivar Scrimmaged MIDDLETON on Wednesday and beat them 15-0. On Friday Mckenzie beat Bolivar 5-2.
  16. McKenzie uses DSV. The coaches appear to like the software very well. The equipment is very expensive and you have to get some training to operate it properly so you won't be jumping in looking like a chicken with its head cut off. Overall, I like the program too since I have used it quite a bit myself.
  17. Beatme, technically, it was about football. It was about the Lake County vs. McKenzie game being on tv. However, when it comes to the food deal, then yes, this topic has certainly gone off topic
  18. They likely won't air it again. They were showing commercials of it for several days, but I understand, I never even saw the commercials myself but since I filmed the game for Charter Media, I knew when they were going to air it. Sorry, had I know I would've posted it.
  19. Slightly off topic but, anybody catch the Lake County vs. McKenzie game on Charter Main Street?
  20. Yes, the parent from the McKenzie side was a Doctor, Dr. Merrick.
  21. I can't vouch for anything when it comes to Kegan, im sure he will be back in against South Fulton, I think he's too valuable to be ignored for a long period of time. Drew had over 500 yards passing. And yes Milan57, the defense really did good when it really mattered the most. Especially with 0:0 on the clock and Lake goes for a 2 point conversion and I believe we hit them well behind the line of scrimmage.
  22. Oh man, besides the 2001 Huntingdon vs. McKenzie game, the Lake County vs. McKenzie game is prolly the most exciting and nerve wracking game I've ever seen. McKenzie wins, 54-53.
  23. I agree with duckman, McKenzie isn't underrated. I do know a few under estimated us , mainly ole Fearless, but I know, thats just one mans opinion. Out of the first 3 games that he predicted us to lose, we won 2.
  24. I'm curious about the 1940 deal. I wonder if thats when McKenzie started keeping records or if its because we changed our name from Yellowjackets to Rebels so new records were started? Heard too that when we were the Yellowjackets, Huntingdon and McKenzie beating each other was common. Nowadays, its a once in a lifetime type deal. This is stuff that I've heard over the years though.
  25. Stats from Jackson Sun are pretty incorrect. I was told Keegan only got 53 yards of rushing Friday while JS had stated he got somewhere around 100. The other yardage of rushing came from Tyler Moore.
