  1. The last game I saw at Boyd was the first game in 2005. The past 3 yrs Ive been working at a place where it was hard to get friday nights off. Although I did try to make some games last year. Now back to the topic. The media will pick SP, I'd like to know how many picked SP back in '03. Was that when tim starky was there?
  2. . Hmmm Ive always remained anonimous because their used to be a lot more Boyd fans here back in the day, and some really took offense to my posts because Im an objective fan. Heck, my first posted topic in 5 yrs about whether or not to go to the RB game and I got heckled by Bnl. Well, maybe its time to show myself. You said you will be where the field house is, what field house?
  3. Um, thats what a forfeit is. I'm not saying we or the other 5-A district teams deserve a win. I just want to know what the real record is since we got shafted out of a game.
  4. Can someone explain what Boyd's real record is? They were originally scheduled to play David Brainerd as part of the new district. Then DB closed for some reason so that game becomes a forfeit. Since Boyd was supposed to play them last friday, their record should be 6-1. But coacht and the polls are saying Boyd is still 5-1. I asume everyone else in district 5 will be credited with 1 non-game win?
  5. It seems to me like the SP fans on here are more open to Boyd possibly winning than the media. Stephen Hargus(spell check) from TFP complimented both teams, but I'm betting that at least %75 will pick SP to win. Not that it really matters though, I'm just making a "picking" prediction.
  6. Finally, someone with some inside info one the bucs. I think I read earlier that SP starting running back and center won't be playing in this game. Haven't read anything about Boyd's players.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Boyd has ever won a close, evenly matched game against SP. The years that we did win, most people agreed that Boyd was the clear favorite. Just thought I'd point out that piece of history. It happened again last year, so I hope this Friday history doesn't repeat itself, again!
  8. I don't know why, but this forum isn't what it was 5 years ago. At least half the posts came from current students, recent grads, and even a few players. It just seems like their are much fewer fans talking, especially from Boyd. Reaction seems to be the only one keeping it going, and he hasn't even been to a game this season if I read correctly. This just my opinion. Now to the topic. Has anyone actually seen both teams play this year? I'd like to hear some opinions.
  9. I'm surprised no one has mentioned who I think was the most dangerous person with the ball in his hands: Jon David Blair(Class of 2000). He was such a target for opposing teams that his leg got thrashed with a "defective helmet" during a game at South Pitt. Even at QB, he set a (short-lived) scoring record during '99 season.
  10. I used to go to Boyd football games all the time until '05, when they started struggling; so I lost interest and time to go. After listening to last week's game, huge crowd and huge score(62 pts. with mercy rule), it sounded like the old days again. I would like to go to tonight's game at Red Bank, but I still need a little more convincing that the bucs are for real and have a chance to win, even though just 2 ppl in the press are picking them to win. Also, why has the "Boyd @ Red Bank" forum been so dead!?
  11. Hey Pageman, could you peak over and check the score of the Boyd-Goodpasture game? Or maybe just ask someone?
  12. How is the game going? Anybody?
  13. I would like to see frequent updates on the Boyd-Goodpasture game. I'm sure several people watching the game will be phoning their friends. Please pass the word on.
  14. I seem to feel a little dejavu. Didn't this sort of happen last year, and the year before that? I'm sure that Goodpasture has other good (or great) pitchers that Boyd could hit against and pull an upset. But it seems with Peroni on the mound, GP is invincible. It doesn't matter GP beat Friendship by 1 run or 10 runs. They always seem to get the runs they need to win, and STOP their opponent from getting the hits, sacs, or possible errors needed to cross home plate. GP could probably beat anyone in any classification. For 2 years, possibly 3 after this week, a scrappy but hearty bunch will try again to win the class A state title. And once again, a single DREAM TEAM stands in the way. OK, enough monologue. Good Luck Lady Bucs! thumb

I'm not sure if anyone has even watched the bloody game ut! I'd like some results too. Thank you sportsguy. How was the game?
  16. I wonder why they're not showing the games on WFLI53 like last year? So it will be on cable channel 27 in chattanooga? Just making sure so I can record it.
  17. What happened to Tripp Wingo? How serious was he hurt on that TD reception for Turner?
  18. Anyone who could give me any info on the A championship game I'd appreciate it.

    Boyd/FRA

Are there any updates on Boyd and FRA? How's the weather?
  20. I have not seen any scores for this game. I'd like to see some updates.
  21. Does anyone predict based on tonight's game that Goodpasture will play Boyd for the championship?
  22. So what about the Boyd-Goodpasture game? Are they playing now? If so, can anyone who is there pass off an update to post?
  23. Can anyone give a dicriptive inning by inning update?
  24. Friday night, it's round 2 of Boyd vs. Temple. I missed the first game but read tons of posts about the bad calls costing Boyd the game. What are some predictions and does the Big Ones poll really show how this game will end? Last checked, Temple beats Boyd: %95 to %5
