Govman I am curious to know who you are??? Are you kin to Dan Webb or something? How are you even comparing Webb to Meadows?? Just because he is older and coached at Alcoa for 85 yrs. doesn't make him the better coach. If Webb was so great then why wasn't he the head coach instead of Dalton or Phelps?? Did you even watch meadows coach at alcoa?? His offense did average around 35 pts. a game. He even hit the 70 pt mark twice, so you need to stop talking about Dan Webb!! MEADOWS was a better coach!!!

The it's looking at Alcoa right now Hand Snyder may be the man for the job. I heard there's a good chance that he might get it. Coach Snyder is more of a defensive coach, so it will be interested to see what his offense will look like. He'll probably keep Talley running the offense, and he will stick with the defense. You never know who Alcoa will hire. It could be anyone out there, and I would have to agree with Blue21 on this one. The pay is not that great at Alcoa!

They do run on the same relay team in aau. You should come and check them out this summer, because they should be a contender for the national title. I will be training with them this summer also, so hopeful they will be ready to run when nationals arrive. Good luck to both of them!!!

Stephanie did dominate in the summer, but she can't beat Daveda consistantly. She won't win every race againt Daveda. They have been running together for so long now, and they know each other's weaknesses. I don't know who will win state this year, but I will be there. I love both of them like sisters. I'm just giving you my opinion on this topic. In all the years I watched Webb call the plays, they just weren't the best I've seen. Did you even see the Hampton game in 96'? Well I was there and that was probably the worst play calling I've ever seen. I'm not saying that these coaches weren't great in the 80's, but the things they did in the 80's did not seem to work in the 90's or now. So I still think Meadows was a better offensive coach than Webb!! And I would like to know what the other plays Webb might have ran, because I can't remember anything other than the sweeps and counters!!!

I would have to agree with Blue21 on this one. Meadows was probably one of the greatest coaches to ever come to Alcoa, and I know he was better than Dan Webb. Webb's offense consisted of sweeps, counters, and that's it!! He was so predictable that it wasn't funny. Dalton was a decent coach with a GREAT team. He tried to run that same offense he ran in 89 last year, and you saw what the record was 3-7!! Meadows would pick a defense apart, and in my opinion the most liked coach in Alcoa history!!!! To be the Best you gotta Beat the Best!!!!

Don't ever look past them TORNADOES!!! Alcoa was very young last year, and with the right coaching they could be back in the title hunt just like 2000!!!

Ok I've heard enough!! I went to Alcoa in 2000, and if anyone knows how huge this rivalry is then They know that I don't really care for Maryville. But I don't get on here and hate on them for dominating for the past 3 years. It took us 7 yrs to finally beat Maryville, and I enjoyed every bit of it, but I also respect them and give them props. They may not have the best talent in the world, but they find ways to win and that's what matters. It doesn't matter what classification you're in. If they continue to win then their fans will have the right to talk!!!! To be the BEST you gotta BEAT the BEST!!!

Mr. layup, how can you say he is overrated? Wow he only scored 12 pts. so what!! Did they win? A win is a win in my book and that's the important thing. Did Jordan play well every game? Thank you, and he has missed free throws before too. He will not hit 30 pts a game, and I would appreciate it if you would stop hating on my cousin. Don't hate on our family because we have talent. I don't know much about Cookeville basketball, but I do know that Mario is one of the best players in Tn. He is my first cousin, and I just wanted to tell him and his team good luck and Alcoa is behind you 100% Oh yeah, he gets his skills from his dad!!

I believe the 100m record was broken my sophomore yr, and it was a 10.5. I wasn't far behind with a 10.6, but we were in different classifications!!! I don't know about the 200m, but I think Davis broke that too with a 20.8

I do recall you being disrespectful to Alcoa, but it's all fun and games though. Don't take it personal Carter. Good Luck the rest of the season!

splainshornet, first off Stephanie did win the 100m last year, but did you look at the 200m. Daveda did win that ya know. And why are all these people hating on the Lady T's? Everyone knows that they are the Tornadoes, but can't we call them what we want? Why is govman saying anything about Alcoa? Didn't we beat WB already? Oh yeah, we beat Carter too so shhhh! Be quiet!

I happen to have an inside source on this topic, and from what I hear Dalton may not be retiring. If he doesn't retire, then the coach will have to be within the system. That leaves Coach Adams, Talley, and the front runner I think is Hand Snyder! Snyder has been at Alcoa for a while, and I think he could be the man for the job. But I have heard rumors that Coach Ironside and Meadows have made calls, but I don't know how true that is. To Be The Best You Gotta Beat The Best!!!!#5

I know Stephanie Woodfin personally, b/c I ran with her in AAU, and I know she can fly. I'm like her big brother, and if she keeps it up she will be somewhere big. She should win the state meet again this year and the AAU Nationals. I will be keeping up with her!!

Aiight I'll stop talking about Fulton, b/c I have some friends that went to Fulton. Santana Griffin and Sean Green are my boys, and I ran with Santana in AAU. Oh I ran track for Alcoa, and I did win the 100, 4x1, and 200 for 3 straight years at state!!. No names are needed though!! I wish Fulton the best of luck this year in track and in football!!

Does anyone think that the 100 and 200 state records will be broken anytime soon? They've only lasted for what 3 or 4 yrs, but is there anyone out that that thinks it can be done?? I really don't know right now. I haven't heard of any speedburners right now, but there could be someone out there!
