Rumor coming out of Murfreesboro is that the next head football coach is going to be none other than Gary Rankin. Now everything is not hammered out, but from a few sources it is not far from being done.

He may not be the greatest ever but of all the people I have seen on here nobody has said anything about Fernando Bryant. He played at Riverdale where he was all-american, all-state, so on and so forth. Then went to Alabama and played from 95-98 and all-sec 96,97, and 98. Drafted first round of NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and Currently plays for the Detroit Lions.

I know I wasn't there but I had a few friends I don't know what creeped in to the head coaches head on that pass play but it lost them that game. I think that he thought he may have been catching them off guard but they weren't.

What is the record for most rushing yards in a single season by a team? I ask this because of the way Riverdale has been running the ball this season. I think they have been held under 300 yards rushing once and have rushed for over 450 yards on 3 seperate occasions.

Well if it was their weakness they shouldn't have been on here runnin their mouths about how good it was.

My most memorable game, other than the 2001 state game, was when Riverdale played Blackman in the second round down 16-6 at half time trying to figure out what went wrong in the first half we came out with a fire and came back and won the game 27-16. Never will forget that one

I would say Riverdales is gonna be pretty good returning all the starters from last years D-line. And I hope Ooltewahs d-line its better than the one in 2001 that said they were one of the best ever because we went down to Ooltewah and just flat out embarassed that d-line. I am speaking of the Riverdale-Ooltewah semi-final game that ended 35-7 and King ran for about say 220 yards and like 2 or 3 touchdowns.

I know he got injured but I can't believe anyone has mentioned Gerald Riggs. His stock has dropped since the start of last season but for anyone that does decide to pick him it will probably a steal.

I ain't never been the sharpest tool in the shed but I hope you were kidding when you said all that stuff because I don't see that many folks leaving.

Riverdale will not be as powerful as everyone thinks. They lose their starting tailback, fullback, wide recievers, DBs, and linebackers. They do get some back but unless they have some major talent wating in the wings their 15 year run of top dog may be in Jeapordy.

Today out of no where UT-martin's head coach Matt Griffin resigned and accepted the job at Murray State. After guiding the Skyhawks to their first winning season since 93 and took the job at a program that just finished last in the conference, and not only did he leave he took the entire coaching staff with him. He preached all year on character and what not and then he leaves for no significant reason to take the rivals job. He may have been offered more money I don't know but its pretty shady to leave and not tell anyone the AD didn't even know until this morning. So if anyone is thinking about playing for Murray St. think twice because you could just get left one year for no reason. I guess character has a price.

I have seen Gaston play this year a couple times: 1 he ain't as fast as everyone thinks he is, he only runs like a 4.6 maybe mid 4.5 2 he is too small, warrick dunn is bigger and a lot faster than him 3 not a knock on vandy but they do not have the best o-line year in and year But hey if he wants to go out and do what he does than go do it prove everyone wrong.
