Soddy should be the top team from district 6. They finished 2nd in the district and region last year and were not hurt too much from graduation. Ooltewah was hit by graduation, but should still be strong. Rumor has it that Red Bank is getting a new coach. No telling how that will effect them.

It really should be an interesting year. cleveland and McMinn were both hit by graduation. As for the other 3, Rhea Co came a long way last year with their new coach--Pete Mitchell. Big problem for them is no real feeder program, as far as i know. As for Cumberland and Bradley, there is no telling. Both have new coaches for 2003and have always been real scrappers and fighters. The question is can they compete with District 6. Only once has a district 5 team won the region--that i know of

I have been told that ECS is traveling to east tn this spring to play CCS and McMinn Co. How good is ECS?? does anyone know?? How do you think they will do against these two teams?

One that has not been mentioned in probably one of the oldest McMinn Co. vs Bradley Central has been played FOREVER long before McMinn co--McMinn Cent and Cleveland --Bradley

So will all 8 region champs advance to Chatt. or will the top two from each region advance to a sectional game REgion 1 winner plays region 2 runner up , region 2 winner hosts region 1 runner up , etc It would be nice to see more teams get a chance to advance and play another match

As far as girls goes--- the Shelton girl from Tullahoma is the states best girls gk. Mary Ann Powell is a good one from McMInn Co. Zac Brown is a good one for the Boys. He is 6'5, 215 lbs. He is a monster in the air and is great for a big guy on low shots. He was the MVP for the Cleveland Tourn. last year. 3 Straight shutouts.

Are we sure that the top two boys teams will advance from each Region. and will they both go to Memphis for Spring fling????

You also have to throw in Eric Turner from Bearden High Despite having a down year this year with a young team, his team is always in the Final Four-- after defeating Farragut, Oak Ridge, and D-B
