D2 gets no love from the TSSAA-- For instance, the championship game on saturday is at 9:00 AM, how exciting... Some of the best matchups of all the classes are going to take place in D2, and everyone acts like they dont care. I would take most of the D2 teams against anyone, excluding Farragut because they are an all star team. But this should be a great tourney.

Father Ryan- Barnes, Derrick, and Stejskal (sp*) BA- Willis, Wilcher, Nickerson, Mize MBA- Pettus, Bourland, Haury BGA had some but they werent there so i dont know Fisher- player of the year

So now BA, BGA and FR are all going to state. And BA will play the #3 team from the west, BGA will play the #2 from the east and FR will play #1 from the west.

Congragulations to the Lady Eagles today on beating BGA 2-1 in the 11th. GREAT job girls and keep it up next week.

The loser's bracket championship (BGA and Father Ryan) was called at the end of 6 innings due to rain. But the game will resume today at 4:00 for the final inning with BGA ahead 3-2 and then the winner of that game will play BA for the Regional Championship.

BA wooped up on Father Ryan beating them 7-1 with an unearned run. BA played one of the best games of the year and finally brought their bats to the game. Also 5 girls were named to the all region team. Congratulations girls and good work. You keep playing like this you will have a great run in memphis.

There is no possible way that brentwood academy or father ryan will be upset by any of those teams. they have very strong solid teams and im pretty sure they have beaten most of the teams in the district by at leaste 5 runs or more. the more interesting question is -- which of them will come out on top

I heard BA's pitcher Shelby got hit in the head with a line drive during this game... wondering how she is doing??

The Lady Eagles won 1-0. Mashburn pitched an awesome game along with the calling of catcher Cassie Simpson. Freshmen Burkhart and Locke came up with big hits to pull of the win in the bottom of the 6th inning along with a bunt from Ellwanger. BA left runners on almost every inning but held the Lady Irish on defense. It was a great game and the teams will definatly have some more of these nail biters this season. The lady Eagles are now 4-0 and play in the BHS tournament this weekend.

Brentwood Academy has 5 underclassmen starting this year... 1B, SS, 3B, RF and LF From what Ive seen so far this team looks pretty good. Father Ryan also has plenty of young talent with so many girls graduating last year... they also look good this year and have been playing some good ball.
