  1. Every Maryville fan on here has shown respect to Hillsboro and Alcoa. They deserve respect but it is a far stretch to call it a victory. Has nothing to do with a lack of class.
  2. I agree. They have bragging rights over the 5 straight, but I don't see how that is any sort of victory over Maryville. But really how much can you brag about that? 5 vs 4 in the last 5 years. Both are outstanding programs.
  3. A real Tennesseean would know how to spell it... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I am proud of the Rebels for their achievements. Congrats to HHS for a hard fought win.
  4. Looks pretty much over now... Better luck next year. Maryville vs. Hillsboro again. Is this the 3rd or 4th matchup for the Gold Ball this decade? I was in the Boro for at least 2 of them. Can't remember. Should be another good one. Hillsboro always brings it and had a couple chances but GQ outfoxed 'em.
  5. I agree, but you know how people talk trash on here... I think it will be another dominant performance.
  6. Maryville is in again and Hillsboro is up by 14. Assuming Hillsboro takes care of business, how do the teams match up? I think Maryville ends its 4A run on a high note and a 5th Gold Ball. Go Rebels!
  7. One hour to kickoff. Good luck to both teams and safe travels for everyone. Wish I could be there but will be listening on the internet from Arizona. Maryville wins 35 - 17.
  8. George Quarles... His success speaks for itself!
  9. Hed Red: Here is the answer to your question. Maryville is not quite big enough to move up to 5A yet. Their official enrollment is 1193 per the following link: http://www.tssaa.org/Classifications/schoolstable.htm If you look at: http://www.tssaa.org/Classifications/schoolstable.htm It shows that the 5A schools have enrollment of 1348 and above. Thus the reason we are still 4A.
