  1. chsick7 - That's just it. You didn't apologize. You just dumped on the guy again, in a different way. I hope he wears you out this spring. Hope you make the team. He will.
  2. You mean Bradley/Cleveland don't you?
  3. chsicker7 I believe it was trackman who started this thread with three questions. You, as usual, stuck your nose in - with nothing to add. And to the people who are going to sue him, don't bother. It's obvious from his posts that he's not old enough to have any assets - unless you count his mouth. Besides, he can share his opinion and his ignorance. Can you imagine being on any kind of team with him?
  4. Good luck on finding a public or private with the FINANCES of the parents of those matriculating at the schools listed. Money matters. How many parents from Raleigh-Egypt or Oneida have the money to send their kids to U of Chicago? How many kids at Andover are on free or reduced lunch? If you think we're not an economically segregated country, you're living in a dream world.
  5. chsicker 7 I read your apology and it was about as weak as your attempted humor in response to legitimate, straightforward, honest questions. If you think people can't see through it, you're in trouble. You're still bad-mouthing the guy, only in a different way. Also, I'm interested too. How do these folks know each other's names when this is supposed to by anonymous?
  6. You're right . Region 4 and 3 have the most state placers. But you still didn't answer goodsport's questions: 1. aren't you playing favorites and giving an advantage to those regions. 2. if they win in region 4 now, don't you think they'd probably win in region 5? I guess I hadn't thought about it that way before, but you are playing favorites. You just call it something else. I'm biased and from Nashville.
  7. Don't y'all just hate it that you can't push Coach Logsdon around! Now you're trying to buy him by offering money to Bradley? Just because you can buy everything else, do you think you can buy anything? You even are setting the amounts! Somebody is willing to pay $100 for tickets. I'll bet he'd really pay more than that - cause he can! 1/3 to Bradley, pay everybody, etc. We love it! Keep up the good work.
  8. Little Sisters of the Poor has a lot D1 prospects too! Jo Blow is trying to decide between Madeup U and Southern Tennessee. Fred Farley is looking at Indiana and Duke. Benny Bigfeet has offers from South Bemidji and Pulaski Tech.
  9. reftn you have posed some interesting questions. Don't the TSSAA rules have something about being currently enrolled in classes? I know there are cooperative programs like the one mentioned before, but that student was enrolled in Metro. Also, I think there was a court suit in Penn or someplace in the east, but I don't know how it came out.
  10. Edmonds and Boskin are tough. And the 112 or 119. But most all of them are just good.
  11. You say some nice things about the TSSAA staff, but go back and look at the first two posts on this thread. Personally I don't care where it's held. Questions and discussion cause people to think. Opinions are what most of this is about. But why question the motives of people who are working to be as fair as possible?
  12. Wow, I was just going to mention two or three coaches, but after reading duggerd I realize my criteria would not have been appropriate. His post should be required reading for all coaches.
  13. Some of you must really hate TSSAA. Do you actually think they would secretly try to give one school and advantage? Not everyone cheats.
  14. Sorry you're wrong again. And I'll be smiling Saturday night too!
  15. delaWarr: did I miss something or is there something wrong with the Boro and MTSU. Smyrna's program and coach is working hard and getting better. Maybe they would consider hosting at MTSU. slingshot: seeding for duals is based on the year before. sly: I'll be there in time for the semis - and smiling.
  16. Slingshot you started this thread. Are you that ignorant or did you just fall off the truck? Obviously you know nothing about duals! And Trackman, I see nobody has attempted to respond to your questions about increasing the number of schools for the state duals. Ask slingshot. He'll probably say the TSSAA and the Clarksville High coaches won't let Cleveland go.
  17. OK eastside is back to normal now. SPELLING and punctuation. If you're a "sophmore" you should at least be able to spell it. This has to be a joke, but it's sure funny. I hope nobody takes this seriously; otherwise, Fairview will be nicknamed "School for the Unskilled." By the way, if Cothran hears what you said about him, you could be in big trouble.
  18. Surprise eastside had a post yesterday with NO WORDS SPELLED INCORRECTLY. Even a two syllable word! That may be a first. He does need work with punctuation. He has strung three simple sentences together without. Again the operative term here is "simple."

    DI match ups.

eahs Bradley will win! No doubt. I would like to see Clarksville and Soddy go head-to-head in the semis but that won't happen this year again. I was there last year and it was fun. Go Trojans. Will the Clarksville crowd be with S-D again?
  20. Great idea. Move both championships to Murfreesboro. I think Smyrna might volunteer to host too.
  21. OK sly - Everything you say is true and? What's your point? I've got an idea: just to make sure nobody has an advantage. Move the individuals to Oneida and the duals to Pulaski. Then move all state championships to Kingsport! If you notice football and basketball are in middle Tennessee. That's not fair. If you don't like Chattanooga and Clarksville, at least have the cahoneys to say so!
  22. Let's see, you don't want a split. You want some kind of new championship at the end of the season. You realize that only seniors not playing spring sports would be eligible to participate! That doesn't seem like a real competition. It would sure leave out a bunch of underclassmen who are in spring sports. But if that will satisfu you and the others who desperately need one champion, then by all means do it. Since we already have 32 in each weight class, maybe we should go to 64 in case we miss somebody that has a bad day.
  23. Give us a break slingshot. Does the Clarksville boosters do the seeding for the duals? If so, that would be a bit strange. Are the individual's in Chattanooga every year? Nooga's a nightmare too! I like to be close enough to see the matches. But Soddy or somebody there is good enough to host - and deserves the money they make. Evidently Clarksville's folks are willing to work too for the money. Were you ever at Overton? That's always a nightmare. Not the people, the facility. Or anyplace else the championships have ever been? Maybe you would like to do the individuals and the duals. Part of the problem is the number of teams. You're right in that it might be better to split D1 and D2 as they do in other sports. Yes, it might cut the crowd in half, but it sure would be a lot more convenient. If you think anybody could have beaten Bradley last year, you need a long nap. As for the people in Clarksville, yeah they're loud but good for them. Having Soddy and Clarksville or Bradley and Soddy or Bradley and Clarksville in the championship is great. That nasty gym rocks. I'm sure it would be a lot of fun if Houston, Farrgut, and Kenwood are in the finals. Both of their fans would have a ball. Those three teams (BC, S-D, and CHS) ought to get a bye to the tournament just because of their fans. Those people know wrestling and they love it.
  24. Good luck this season to Fairview. You're gonna need it if the jaket dude is your best. jaket or imported or whatever can you spell l-o-s-e-r? Better yet, can you spell anything more than two syllables?
