I˜m afraid Coach Tipps does not have any job security. At Coffee County this year, no one is safe. I smell an old-fashioned house-cleanin˜ ahead. The new football coach pretty much has carte blanche- so nontenured coaches are gone, and tenured coaches who don˜t fit into the program might be driving to another county school next year. My guess is that even the AD will be demoted or choose to retire. I hope the new football coach and his new assistants are taking notes. History repeats itself far into the future.

I saw the press release from this morning about Price getting the job. According to the director at 8:30 last night, no one had been hired. Is he (Price) obligated with a verbal reply? or was the director misleading the board when he said they were only "close?" Also, what is he getting paid? The board didn't approve enough last night to cover what he would need, not with a supplement.
