I went to school in NC.My wife went to Cloudland.For the past few years I have watched alot of games.Its not their fault they can't get teams to play them.When they beat teams real bad you cry about it.Alot you on here better be glad your child or your team does not play in NC.Ther is no 8 or 10 minute quarters,or running the clock.How ever bad you get beat is it.Look on ihigh.com and you can find some scores.Cloudland is a good team and i believe they can win it all.The biggest problem is how Tenn. classifies teams.In NC highest enrollment in 4A is 2614,Tenn the highest i found in 5A was2304.NC 3a 1528,2A 1229,1A 767,so why is there even a 5A in Tenn. Happy Valley,Hampton,and most of the conf. should be 1A.It would make for better football in Tenn if the TSSAA would reclassify the whole state.Then maybe Cloudland would have a better region and better teams to play, so would alot of other schools.

If im not mistaken, isnt Byrd the only underclassmen in 1A to make the AP all state team.It says so on the coacht 2002 AP all state FRIST team(thats all divisions).No matter what anybody says on here they would love to have Byrd on their team.There would be alot of good kids not starting if he was on their team.That goes for 5a to private.If he played for the great maryville team i promise you would hear his name alot then.

greenback got beat at home last year in the playoffs by cloudland .

im a north carolina football fan too.I watch alot of games in Ten.CPA only won 21-12.As far as beating up on out of state teams i dont think so.They wouldnt get a smell of Albemarle(who has won the state the past 2 years).Albemarle is public!!!!

I'm from NC.I follow tn hs football.I went to all of cloudlands games.They were a great football team ,just like all the other good public schools.You can't tell me that a private school don't have advantage.I don't have kids,but as a parent you won't the best for your kid.I don't mean just education or religion.If you have a gifted athlete for child,you can't tell me you wouldn't send them to a private to help them.NC has a private playoff system.I don't care if the school worshiped the devil,didn't balieve in a god, or what the format is of the school.If is private it should be in a private playoff.I would have to say that most of the 1A schools are public and are not being represented by true champion.That means any public school deserving.The private schools should play public schools in the regular season to better them,then go their separate ways playoff time.So all you private schools quit crying.From what i seen the past two years is that you all are cocky. You private schools wouldn't get a smell of the NC 1A champion.So all you public schools keep your head up.Until something is done you will never know who the real state champion is.
