I went and watched Marshall County today in the Marshall County duals. They have an extremely young team this year with 9 of their starters being first year wrestlers. They still seem to be able to win though. I would just like to say good luck to them this year and if they don't show out this year watch out in future years when they'll be more experianced.

Sounds exciting. It will be a good experiance for those kids. Believe me I know. Been there and done that. LOL

What teams will be there?

Does anyone know how Marshall County is going to do this year. I used to wrestle there awhile back but most of the people i knew have since graduated. So if anyone has any info i would appreciate it.

I only wish they had Coach T when I was still in high school. If they did have it then I wish I knew about it. I think it's great have people on here supporting their teams in a tasteful manner. To be able to talk about great matchups up and coming during the week. Wrestelers can come on here and see their name making them feel important and building their self confidence. Thanks for all you have done Coach T.

Coach I have to agree. Even if some were sick it is a very good tourney. It is like a mini state and your wrestlers who could wrestle would have gotten very good experiance. You did make a decision but was it the best one for your wrestlers. Time has passed now so you'll just have to continue coaching well to make up for the mistake. Good luck coach.

The Father Ryan Invitational is a great touny. It is like a mini-state. Great teams all around the state will be there. This is the tourny that will show people where they stand in the state. Good luck to all the wrestlers.

I've been good. I'm at Univ. of Tenn. now. All they have is a club there and I think I'm done with it now. It was fun while I did. Since I have been home for christmas break I went to the school to help a little a practice and watched them during to matches. They also had a duals tourn. that I helped a little. They are doing pretty decent this year. They have a lot of seniors. How about your team? Are yall doing pretty good? What ever happened to Hays?

Wrestler who are you and what makes you think what you say has any importance to anyone and coach that would be me.

They might have some wrestlers medal and go to state but as a team they will still be at the bottom of the barrel.

I'm sure Marshall Co. will be there. We went to it when I wrestled 2 years ago.

189 from 98 to 01 and i would also like to say that was one of the toughest weight classes my senior year if not the toughest. how you like them apples kid.

I wrestled at Marshall Co. a couple of years ago and i wrestled two different guys there if i remember correctly. Not much of a challenge though. Like i said they could have gotten better since I was there, but they were garbage then.

Fairview is garbage. Unless they have changed alot since I have been there they will still get there butts whipped.

I don't know about the other two guys but Hays was decent but by no means great. I wrestled him 3 times my senior year, which was his junior year, and beat him all 3 times. Even in Regions he was seated 1st after i had already beat him twice. that still didn't make sense to me. Like the other two times he went down in the quarter semifinals. I wasn't around his senior year but I heard he didn't do that well at all when he got to state. So quit making such a big deal out of this.

Matt Sweeton was definitely one of the best. He didn't only beat people but crushed them and made it look so easy. Philip Simpson was also one of the greatest. His record speaks all for him. Rusty Blackmon from Bradley Central is a hoss as well. I saw him his senior year pin in the finals in like 17 seconds or so. Those are some of my picks.

Houston Love of Marshall County looks promising. I watched him wrestle today and he isn't to bad. His record is 8-0 and he defeated another undefeated wrestler today. Not only beat him but pinned him. If he can keep his weight under 275 he'll have a good chance to go far.
