A lot of teams are including Hall of Fame games in their records. Aren't these considered pre-season exhibition games? Didn't the official season start Monday 11-25-02 or am I missing something or just stupid? These games played before 11-25-02 seem to be inflating the records of some teams. Also some girls' teams include these games and the boys teams do not. Can anyone explain this to me?

Does anyone know the final score of Giles Co. girls at Marshall Co. played Tuesday 1-21-03? I believe Giles won, but no score or box appeared in the Tennessean or on the CoachT scoreboard and the Marshall Co. newspapers are just about useless. Thanks.

Lewis Co. girls are a very underrated team with lots of potential. I have seen them play five times this year including the game at Fairview where they could have won if not for some biased officiating. Britni Tenison is a great player along with Casey Anderson and Delicia "Li Li" Brugmann. Allyson Brewer and Riley Pace are good off the bench and Mallory Clayton will be a factor as she recovers from her injury. They gave the Page girls a tough game only losing by 7, 57-64. The second game at Giles Co. where they lost 42-53 showed me they can play in a hostile environment. At district tournament time when the games are in Hohenwald, everybody better watch out - they will be tough.

Good luck against against Fairview Friday night. Watch your fouling as Fairview is a good free throw shooting team. Try to stop their three point shooters #34 Boaz, #30 Bledsoe, & #5 Kennedy. Bledsoe likes to drive as well. I hope you get a good officiating crew, but go with the flow and play your game.

hey jacketpride24, we'll be ready don't worry. If the officials are honest, you won't get so many free throws as you usually get and our defense will stop your three-pt shooters, Bledsoe, Boaz, and Kennedy.

Hey gilessf, be ready for a tight game at Fairview. They are good from the foul line and it seems like the officials always call touch fouls on opposing teams there which eventually leads to Fairview being at the line late in the game. Be careful. I just wanted to warn you.

Because of the height & strength advantage of boys, girls would have a hard time getting any rebounds. Girls could match boys on shooting and ball-handling abilities, but in the final count, the boys would prevail.

Fairview's 13-2 record includes two Hall of Fame games against Ravenwood and Creek Wood played 11-19-02 & 11-22-02 respectively. Aren't those games exhibitions? Also, most of their non-district games are against 1-A & Div. II schools. I think they are a good team, but somewhat overrated. They will be tested by Loretto on 1-24-03 & at Page the next day, 1-25-03. Let's see how they stand after some real games against quality opponents.

Congrats - Looks like Loretto out shot Giles at the line & from the field - 13 of 15 vs 9 of 15 & 5 three's vs 3 three's. All I know is what is read in the paper. The big three of Giles got theirs, but no support from post players. Good job girls.
