  1. Prady and Scott have been solid all year. Also, look for Rogers to play some as well. Rogers may dominate this one on the offensive side of the ball, too fast. He could be one of the most explosive players in the state, simply not used enough. Prady may come up big in the return game as well.
  2. BombSquad I would not put it past a Lipscomb player to post on a message board...
  3. Lipscomb by as many points as Elrod and Holt feel like scoring. Hunt goes 1 for 2 through the air with a 12 yard completion to Lehning just to give the backs a breather... I think i will save my $7 and stay home. Have a safe drive.
  4. white house will "win" this scrimmage due to nothing more than different approaches taken by the coaches. white house will prepare as if they were going in to a friday night. Lipscomb will not have a game plan. their approach will be to see how some young and inexperienced players can adapt to the game. it will be interesting to see how some big shoes left by rogers and especially elrod will be filled. either way it will be entertaining and very productive for both teams.
  5. i had heard 13-0 and posted that on the scoreboard, my apologies if i was wrong. either way, Lipscomb appears to be dominant in this game. Taylor Merry goes 5 throwing only 59 pitches. congratulations to the Mustangs and keep the bats going.
  6. Jay is the best catcher coming out of middle tn by far. he doesnt throw a 1.6 and anyone who believes that for a second is crazy. jay good luck at Vandy and if you need and help on how to catch Price give me a call. Tyler Acker is another catcher to keep an eye on. A shophmore at DCA, this kid can play. potential to be great defensively and can flat out swing the stick.
  7. where is jettjuice????? about the game... Alcoa should ask sweetwater which hotel they stayed in on thursday night so that they didnt have to drive all day and play that night... worked pretty well for them. seems to be a similar situation with the #1 team in the state coming down to Lipscomb for the upset, only thing is, im not sure this one will be considered an upset
  8. yeah Eddie, Lipscomb is not a Catholic school... what were you thinking??
  9. actually he is a patriots, red sox, lady vols, kansas( for the moment) but usually duke, and red wings fan
  10. NO HE DOESNT STAND A CHANCE OF MAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL....I DONT SEE HIM LASTING AT CN
  11. Apu you are one legend i am particularly thrilled to see back. will you be my father, or in the words of a dear friend of mine, "will you be my brother-in-law"?? I live to read your posts. I hope you and all of your disciples are doing well. The one legend i still need to here from to reach complete happiness is jetjuice. THANK YOU for honoring us with your presence.
  12. I heard that the tv station needed some people to help broadcast the game...to the people of greenbriAr...its all you...you love to talk and you WONT be busy that weekend....EASY MONEY!!!!
  13. why is everyone so quick to pick greenbriar in this one. do you people not realize that Lipscomb is still a PRIVATE SCHOOL? they have 70 players and every last one of them is recruited... they always lose scrimmages so i wouldnt take that into consideration... and even if the private school and recruiting isnt enough... this game is at Lipscomb so the refs will give it to them if they cant get it for themselves. i thought you people were smarter than to look over these obvious reasons for a mustang victory
  14. the game will be decided on pitching and defense...both teams will put the ball in play. as previously posted Lipscomb is coming off of three consecutive district games with another big district game monday, therefore the top pitchers will not be throwing. however, it will be a good oportunity for some of the younger talent to get some experience on the mound at the varsity level. what will hixson be throwing at Lipscomb??
  15. no game...dont know of a date for a make-up yet...probly early next week
  16. the bomb squad fans over at lipscomb can get pretty rowdy!they have gotten into many players heads this year and intimidate the greatest of players!thanx guys!keep up the good support!
  17. tj bates is not underrated if anything he is overrated. i was at the lipscomb game the other night and was told by a station camp cheerleader that he was incredible. all i know is that when the game was on the line tj choked. the crowd owned the kid. mantlo is the real deal. a solid shooter that with unlimited range.
  18. i bet that if lipscomb scores 1000 points and holds huntingdon to 0 they will probly win this game. ill bet you all that a bag of chips and a pepsi on that one boys.
  19. i do not live in the knoxville area so i am curious about what exactly robertson said after the alcoa game.... i have heard everyone talk about it but no one has actually quoted him.
  20. if you are going to count numbers as far as the lipsomb mr football you have to look at carries. robertson had games where he carried the ball five and six times and came out during the second or third quarter. the only reason he did not win mr football is that lipscomb is smart enough to keep a balnced offense. no one player is going to have his name called every play. this became evident for milan in the huntington game, rod smith was worn out from getting the ball every play. huntington figured out how to shut him down and they won the game, as simple as that. i guarantee you that if huntington stacks the line with 9 men to stop robertson they will lose the game. it will be just another game for robertson with 5 carries for 25 yards and he will have a ring on his finger.
  21. first of all jason i dont know what you are thinking the mustangs dont have a better passing game than the mustangs and the mustangs cant run the ball either. but i do agree with you that the mustangs will probably win this game. i am picking the mustangs but i dont know that they will win.
  22. the mustangs are gunna win this one!!!!!!!!

    Long-snappers

We are all so proud of Bryan. That accident couldn't have worked for a better person. However all of the credit can't be given to fate. Bryan is one of the hardest workers I have ever met. His outstanding speed can be attributed to many hours of running. His story for speed is similar to that of Forest Gump. When Bryan was in the 8th grade he caught a ball and turned to run. He realized he wasnt fast, but if he didnt run he would get hurt by one of the larger players. After that, Bryan just kept running. Every day he ran. He ran and ran and ran until he became faster than his friends. But that wasnt good enough for Bryan. Bryan decided he wanted to be faster than all other high school players. He knew that with his gifted elbows he could play college football, but he also knew that if he was the fastest out there he could play for a team in a national championship. So thank you, Bryan, for all of the inspiration that you have blessed us with. Your work has finally payed off.

    Long-snappers

im telling you guys #13 from Nashville is the best around hands down...he does run a 3.8 cuz i seen it with my own two eyes and counted it on my own fingers the kid can run. heck hes so fast every now and then he'll be standin there next to the return man waitin for the ball to come down. now i know that some of ya'll like to get on here and be funny but i'll be the one laughin when he is playin for the #1 team in the country next year, and trust me he will start as a true freshman .
  25. my vote for best assistant coach is Kevin Temple of Lipscomb... Kevin is the middle school coach during the season but come playoff time he is the centerpeice of the Lipscomb staff...he knows the game and can draw up plays with the best of em
