Now that we're all (hopefully) done trolling each other, can anyone give an actual # of tuition students that were part of the football team this year (9th-12th)? I stand by my guestimate that it's less than 5. Personally, I was a tuition student that played football. Might also be of interest in considering that I was a tuition student grades K-12. Surely you people that want to whine about OOZ issues can realize that football is not the driving force behind OOZ students.

There are very few tuition students that are allowed to enroll in Maryville City Schools each year. Mostly they come in for kindergarten. Most years there are very few, if any, that make it onto the football team. Sometimes it's 1 or 2, it's different every year. I don't know the makeup of the 2013 team, but I'd guess it's a low number.

I sincerely think our JV + freshmen (especially if all are healthy) could compete with that Hendersonville team. I know that's pretty offensive to HHS folks, but this is a message board and I'm just giving an opinion.

Mike White is the RB coach & has been at MHS for at least a decade. He also serves as head coach of the freshmen team. Joe Robinette has been the WR for the same amount of time. Jeremy Russell has coached defensive ends for probably ~7 years.

Well, 7AAA is the SEC of TN high school football. What about you all? Maybe they are the SEC East & 9AAA is the SEC West? Over here in Blount County we're just going to keep plugging along in a lesser class of teams

We had 7AAA = SEC last week. Just want to mentally prepare for this week on here if we're gonna get the 9AAA pumping & Blount Co bashing going

Are we going to have to hear all week about how great 9AAA is?

All this blowout talk makes me nervous

I guess I'll just have to live with it, but this whole Blackman has more talent/athletes just gets all in my crawl. Blackman had more size than Maryville, but you weren't watching if you say they were appreciably more talented. Just because GQ and company put on a free coaching clinic tonight doesn't diminish what this team is capable of. We had a VERY comfortable lead in the 4th quarter against the best the "SEC of TN high school football" had to offer

This is a ridiculous post. Our kids matched up pretty dang well tonight.
