Halls developed their players and their football program. It starts with the coaching staff. Gibbs needs help in this department. One winning season in the past ten years. What does that tell you. Gibbs has been the worst team in Knoxville for years. They can only compete with the little schools such as Maynardville, Tazewell, etc. Someone up there needs to take charge and get some coaching help.

You cant call those fiascos as rivalries. They were routs. Gibbs cant compete with the schedule that they have now. They have had one winning season in the past ten years. Powell and Halls coaches can actually prepare a team for a season of football. Gibbs can only compete with the smaller surrounding county schools such as Tazewell, Maynardville, Rutledge, Powell Valley, etc. Coaching isnt the strong point at Gibbs.

Gibbs cant compete with the schedule that they have now. Gibbs has had one winning season in the past ten years. Halls and Powell have class, tradition and coaching staffs that can prepare their teams.

If you are from Gibbs the only help that you need is getting some new coaches. You have had the worst coaching staff for the past 23 years in the state of Tennessee. One winning season in the past ten years.

The Gibbs FB program has been around alot longer than you. I have been a part of it and observed it from a very inside prospective. Dont tell me anything about the program. I am more concerned about the fact that there is only one winning season in the past 10 yrs at Gibbs. This is my concern. I am not concerned with what you - an outsider thinks about my knowledge of football. This yrs team needed leadership and guidance and got neither--So did the teams that preceeded it for the past 23 years.

You are definitely right about the young coach in the wt room doing a good job for a new coach.His name is Russell Brown.He is the only one w/a clue.The others have been there and had "their chance" as you say.The def coach has not stopped anyone other than teams from the little surrounding counties.The HD coach has been there 23 yrs and still does not have a .500 record. This yrs team was the best in years.You misunderstood me. I did not say Gibbs was good.They had talent and the coaches could not develop them.The QB position,receivers,DBs,and LBs were the most athletic that Gibbs has had in yrs.The FB does not have a brain.He is the best football player up there though.We were talking about whos not hot.

John Paul We know who you are in Gibbs and we would still trade all of our football coaches for you and whoever you wanted to bring with you. You have won more middle school games than our banana bunch at Gibbs. We are fed up. We have tried for yrs to get rid of them.

You think that Coatney is bad? We would love to have him at Gibbs. You should see the bone-head things that the football coaches at Gibbs do. They dont have a clue what they are doing in practice or games. The best athletes in the school wont play for them or they go to other schools to play. Gibbs has 1 winning season in the past 10 yrs. It was in 1997. Its not the kids either.

No leadership, No teaching of the fundamentals. This years team had the best skilled personnel since '97. They finished 4 and 6 and the coaching staff feels that they were sucessful. Incompetent coaches are hard to get rid of when they are personal friends with the Athletic Director and certain politicians.

The Gibbs HS football program has one winning season in the past ten years. In 1997 the team won 7 and lost 4 games. This years team won 4 and lost 6. Personnel wise this was the best team that Gibbs has fielded since 1997. At the skilled positions this team was far better than the '97 team. Gibbs HS is due for a coaching change! The current staff have been there for 23 years and have posted an over record that is below .500 Something has to be done to give the players and community a chance! Players are not being developed. Game preparation is not adequate and offensive and defensive schemes are not fundamentally sound. In other words the coaches are incompetent. We need a change now!

Kendell McGill of Gibbs is carrying her team in what little success they have had the past three seasons. She needs some help. Her stats are good but she has to struggle with the weak team she has around her. She has proven that she can play with the better players when she has had the opportunity to do so. She has worked hard to develop her complete game. The Gibbs team is improving but they still have not stepped up to the level of Kendells game.

Kendell McGill should be considered in the top guards in AA. She is carrying the Gibbs HS team which is a weak team. She has the stats in the Knoxpreps.com website but would be so much better if she had some teammates that could play. She played with better players during AAU and proved that she can play with the "big guys." Her present teammates cant even catch her passes.
