  1. If they contain Daniel Puckett and hold him to 15 or so and guard the perimeter well they have a good chance to win. If they try to collapse on Puckett every time he touches the ball he will kick it out and those lil buddys will fill it up from deep.

  2. Rankings only matter at the end of March, what teams do now is only practice for tourney time. McEwen will bounce back!! It's to bad NCS doesn't have to worry about being ranked or anything like that. Who did they play tonight, oh yeah, nobody cares.

Seeing to as I havent been there in 2 years I'm not really sure who they played. I was staying on topic and just like its always been some dumb McEwen fan has to say something about my name wich really has nothing to do with the post at hand. I guess some things will never change.

  3. Oh yeah, that is it.  Where has Tyler been mentioned in this thread.  I don't ride his jock strap like some GC fans.  I have not seen the kid play all year, as a matter of fact, I now live about 30 minutes away from South Gwinnett.  So this is coming from a guy who has seen Williams and Mercer play as well as Jamont.  I would take either over Jamont.  I don't really understand why everyone thinks he is so special.  A 6'4 220lb guard that dominated on much lesser scale than he is on right now, but when matched up with the best guard in the country...he was whipped.

He dominated on a much lesser scale but he some how averages 18 points and 10 boards a game for one of the top 3 teams in the Nation. He's special because he's probably the best passer in HS basketball and has one of the best verts. What did he do that made you want to bash him anyways? Give credit where credit is due! A top 15 player in the 05 class putting up 18 points a game for Oak Hill is pretty good if you ask me.
  4. How are you gonna say Louis Williams abused Jamont everytime down the court? Jamont kept him from scoring more times than not. Louis scored most of his points with someone else guarding him. Jamont probably had 20 points and over 10 boards. Louis Williams is a better player but you dont have to out right bash another player for whatever reason. Mike Mercer can out right throw it down. But I say if Oak Hill plays SG 5 times they would win 4 out of 5. However it was a great game and both teams are the real deal. But I have to agree with Gomab that Monta Ellis is the #1 player in the nation, not Louis Williams.

  5. Gomab refer back to my post about your coments about that matchup! A star studded roster with 5 D1 prospects vs 1 D1 prospect. Its crazy to judge whos better when one team has a terrible coach and no supporting cast. Like I posted earlier, let Northside play Oak Hill and see how Jamont and his new supporting cast would do against Reginald Delk. Better yet see how Reginald Delk would do playing with 4 scurbs and a terrible coach Vs. Oak Hill and Jamont Gordon. Its just not fair to judge from that game.

  6. Daniel Puckett from McEwen is one!  He gets one almost whenever he wants it, from whatever angle...with ease.

Puckett is a solid player that can throw it down on some little 1A punks but I would have to say Tyler Smith would put it down his throat.

  7. Thank you... I was referring to the comments on Xavier more than anything, as well as the Delks. It still amazes me at how little respect and hype the Delks get nationally and on these boards compared to their talent... All they do is go out and prove it on the court. The have proved it on the court head to head vs. Jamont, vs. JP, vs others such as Top 30 ranked Marcus Ginyard (UNC), etc, yet still are underranked and underappreciated...

So yes, it's nice for once to hear an opinion giving the Delks and Xavier their due...

Gomab, I usually agree with almost everything you say and I do believe you make insightful and intelligent posts but I have to disagree when you say the Delks proved they were better than Jamont head to head. Yes I will agree that both of the Delks together are better than Jamont along with the rest of North Sides star studded roster. Let North Side play Oak Hill and see how Jamont does against the Delks then and I think it would be a bit of a different story. Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to say Jamont is way ahead of the Delks I'm just saying you cant really judge whos better from a game where one of the players has a terrible coach, 3 scrubs, and one more decent player against a team with as much talent as North Side.

  8. J.P. Prince has a very good shot.  I believe Rivals rates him as the #15 player in the nation.  He's Arizona's top commitment so far.

J.P. is ranked 23 and Jamont is ranked 15th by Unapproved Website

Gomab Monta Ellis may have dropped 40+ on Jamont and Oak Hill but dont leave out the most important thing...his team lost.

  9. Tyler Smith looked pretty good, hes unstoppable from about 15 feet in. I'm not sure about the outside shot GC fans said he developed. He looks like if he were to stand there uncontested he would shoot a pretty good % but his release is too slow for his 3 ball to make noise at the next level. GC has two players, Tyler and Tryce Nelson so I dont see them going very far come tourney time however Tyler Smith is good enough that he could carry them pretty far, but it will be almost all on him. Dylan Heim looked very impressive in the game, taking it to Tyler and scoring a few times. All in all it was a pretty good game and in my eyes Tyler Smith lived up to the hype, with the accpetion of people saying he has developed deep ball shot.
