It seems McMinn fans are the worst about building up hype, and I can say this because I am a fan of McMinn and am brutally biased. Anyway, I've talked to a couple of the players and they don't necessarily enjoy the fact that people make them out to be a super team, and they like to point out that most of the people talking are A)Not players at all, or B)Don't play. So, please, support the team and please give them all your money, but don't set them up for the fall where people like StayNskool and can rip them apart with a "SEE I TOLD YOU SO! HA!" With that said....MCMINN IS GOING TO BEAT CATHOLIC BY 47 POINTS AND EVERY PLAYER WILL SCORE!!!! YAYAYAYA!!!!!!!

This used to be THE matchup in the district, and maybe it still is, but it has lost its luster in the last couple of years. I don't think the district is very strong, and there is no question in my mind that McMinn is the best team in it, and probably the entire region. As to whether they will do better or worse this year, who knows -- but I don't think they can come out of the district over McMinn.

I think that finally, McMinn has won a game that could mean something later -- McMinn 3, Bearden 2. This may not prove that they are among the state's elite, but it is definitely a step forward. They have more confidence than they did last year, and believe it or not, even with the loss of Zac Brown and Jeff Henshaw, they may even better than last year. I guess the rest of the year will have to speak for itself -- good luck.

We have also played against Bivens and he did not pose a threat to us. He may have scored off of a really awful goal, but I have played against him. He is a decent player but I would not regard him as a state contender. Farragut is awesome and for that I commend you Morrow guy. Good Luck to everyone

Well, I will keep this short and simple. I play for the McMinn Co. Cherokees. We scrimmaged you at the beginning of THIS SEASON. We beat you without any effort. Your grammar is funny though, it gives everyone something to read and laugh at. I don't know who this guy is writing stuff for "kenz" and "ryan", but obviously he doesn't play soccer, so let them talk, not you. You will not be lucky enough to play a team like us again....

Jared Price is a sophomore at McMinn Co. and this is just his first year of high school soccer. He just finished the season with 24 goals in a period of 14 games (that he has played in), he should most definately be regarded as a leading scorer in the state, go Jared, your my boy! McMinn Co. pulled off a big win tonight against Knox West. They regarded Knox West as a very worthy oponent, but went out there and got the job done. They ended the season with the #10 spot in the state for 3-A, a 13-1-1 record, and one that they should be very proud of. Good Luck in the district tournament guys and keep up the good team efforts that you are displaying to everyone. Well I have been to Sweeth2o or whatever kind of ridiculous nickname of a town you all have before too. It is full of a bunch of people who really do not know who they are. I would have to say that I could honestly say that I would never want to go back there again. It is not in the middle of nowhere, but nobody wants to go there. We played them in soccer and they are not any kind of a threat. Good Luck To Columbia! I hope that you send Sweetwater packing just like you did last year. I really can not believe that they allow such people as these "wildcats" to come in here and try to say that they are great and to keep it up when they are not a posing threat to anyone... Work on that grammar cuzzzzzz

I'm with davinci22 on this, what is really going on with that ghetto slang of a style that they are using? God gave us the English language, why don't you use it the right way? Anyways, I think that Sweetwater has a very lacking schedule and that they need to have a better record than 9-6 to be a number 11 ranked team. Sorry guys, but i just feel that there should be better teams up for a state ranking than a team with a record like Sweetwater.

McMinn Co. is a very good team and has a lot of good quality players. They have a strong team that relies on each other. They have been humbled by a loss to Grace (it was a game that should not have been played due to several missing starters) but still they have been humbled and are quietly working hard to achieve their goal. They first want to regain a district title, they are not going to be arrogant due to their wins over all of the teams in the district and region but they are going to work hard to get that title back, from there they hope to continue to the region. But McMinn, is taking it step by step, one game at a time, and to them i wish, good luck....
