I am sure they will receive more than one application from "within" I am thinking two, but I would almost guarantee the hire will come from the "outside". I would not go as far to say the hire will not come from outside the county, just not from within WB.

I think that this years team could be very good. I think that we need to settle on one quarterback this year. I have never been in a fan of the 2 (or in our case 3 or 4) quarterbacks system.

I remember those days for Dylan. He has turned into an outstanding young man. I agree that Thomason is a great playmaker - with size and athletic ablity he is very "dangerous" as you say. I really hope that he is able to work on his punting during the offseason - not saying he was not good, but what a difference maker it is when you have a guy that can flip-flop the field postion with a great punt.

I was impressed with Caleb when he ran the ball. Do you think Dylan is fast enough to play RB - it seems to me that he looking more like a LB - especially if he continues to hit the weight room. I would imagine with him playing basketball he will not get to be in the weight room as much as Emert would like.

I think that you will have three fine QB's next year in Owens, Witt, and Burton. Wasn't Burton the front runner for the varsity job before he got hurt last season? I realize that he ended up finishing the year in JV because of some off the field issues. What do you guys think - will we use one QB (if so, who) or do we use all three?

Chase is a good kid - I knew him at the elementary school age. I know he played basketball - did not realize that he was a football player as well.

I think John Reid would be a terrible hire for Heritage. They need somebody that is going to stick around and build the program. They do not need to hire somebody that is going to leave as soon as a better job opens.

what a way to end the season with maryville and farragut.

If Wilhite does get offered the job (just speculation) he would be a great fit for Heritage. He is young and would have the ability to really invest time in the program. He is a great coach that had a run of bad luck this year, he made the best of what he had. I would love to see Heritage get a coach that could breath new life into the program - they have the students to play - they just need someone to convince them that they can play.

I would assume GQ would be the best, who is your second Rankin or Meadows? Maybe it is Gaylor or Ellis?

I was only able to be at the quarter of the game, but it seemed that SC had a very good running game. I was very impressed at the amount of fans that SC brought - there was a lot of purple friday night. Good luck for the rest of the season - maybe we will get to play again.
