MP 22 CW 21. Referee penalized MP and said MP "tackled the Collinwood QB too hard" What is that! This is football! MP drove all the way to 1 yard line and to kill the clock at the end of the game. MP has a TON of injuires. Hopefully, they can beat Moore Co. and cruise the last two games. That bye before the playoffs is crucial for MP to heal up.

MP is on the same level as Cascade and JBs, maybe better b/c they have Marco and you guys don't. I don't think it will be blowout. Cwood will have a shot, but MP nips Collinwood AGAIN. These are different teams than last year. MP doesn't have the same type of offense. It's not one back. They throw to the Tight end 6-5 235lbs (2tds), and have about 5 recievers with 80-200 yard recieving, highlighted by Julian Corlew who has 4 catches for 168 yards and 4tds. He also has 3 picks on defense. He and Daily anchor the defensive backfield. Bubba Clifton has about 300 yards on the ground and is a hard nosed runner up the middle with breakaway speed. The defense is much improved with Corlew, Jed Davis who led MP in tackles as a freshman last year. Also, MP has freshman, Richardson who is 6-5 305lbs at defensive tackle who made plays alnight against Wayne. He is growin up fast! Add Gilbreath, David Brown (4sacks against JB in quarters last year), and host of other D lineman. 76 players dressed out. This MP football program is THRIVING under the leadership of a good young coach. TCA --------lost their quarterback for the season 9. FCS 10. Hampton ---will go to the semis b/c of bracket. 7 of your 8 quarterfinalists and all four semifinalists are on this list barring injuries.

I like this top 10 better than mine. I'd say uh Union City would replace Wayne Co. though. unless Wayne beats Mp tonight, then I would take MP out and replace them with Wayne.

Everybody is at least a little biased. No doubt that Cascade is a threat to go to semis. I think the West is much stronger than you realize though w/ Union City, McKenzie, TCA, and Fayette

Pleasant (semifinalist-proved it on the field last year, same team only better) 4. Gordonsville (have beat some good football teams) 5. McKenzie (likewise) 6. Cascade -played nobody 7.Union City -physical, mean, and atheletic 8. Hampton - solid, but played nobody 9. Jo Byrns - played nobody yet. 10. Trousdale County 11. South Pittsburg - who have the beaten to be #2 ??????? West Tn is way underrated. People from middle & East have no clue.

First, JB easily wins this game. Honestly, How many teams in 1A do you think can beat Cascade on a given night? I don't think you'll flop like last year, but there are good teams in middle and West.

Yeah, there's no clear favorite. TCA is lookin tuff in the West. Still way too early.

Might have beat Page or Creekwood. It could be a good game, but I think the MP offense will be too much and MP defense has improved and will stop WC enough to win handily

Fairview is the best 0-5 team in the state. They will win their last 4 games and get into the playoffs as a #3 seed from that region. Nobody state played 6 better teams the first six games. LC won 19-7 tonight. That's hardly domination. Did anybody else hold Lewis Co. to 19? MP is finding it's passing game. They are developing some serious balance. Daily is 16-21 308 yards passing in the last 2 games. Look at stat sheet on Tennessean. Look at how they are spreading the ball around. That's what makes teams tough to stop. that's how the Colts win all the time.

Yes, their defense is improved. They have Corlew at LB, who has 3 picks already, and all those other atheletes I mentioned earlier Stoops, Daily, Gilbreath(all state) David Brown (4 sacks against JB last year) MP has a killler Junior class. Junior Class is definately the strongest IMO.This may be the best MP team ever. Either this team or that quarterfinal team with J. Webster & Roro.

I definately think Wayne Co. is the biggest threat to MP and this is the best WC team in some time. MP is evolving and has a much better team this year IMO. MP offense is more DIVERSIFIED. I see a high scoring game. MP has like 5 backs that can run from 4.7 to 4.5 speed and a 6-5 230lb tight end that can catch the football. Marco already has more passing yards and Tds than last year. MP has weapons galore (Daily, Stoops, Clifton, Gilbreath, McClenic, Corlew, Davis, & more) no way WC holds MP offense. MP 42 WC 28.

tough to say. Lotsa parity in 1A this year. More than ever. Gordonsville is the fav. from the east I think. The West it could be about 10 different teams.
