John Paul Gaddie - Riverdale

I think more of Ebal as a QB than, it seems, everyone else does. I think he can be above average and step up and lead Oakland. He worries me more than Carlos Crawford. I know that seems wierd, since 'Los lead the region in rushing. Ebal scares me with the fact if you drop too many defending the pass, he'll take off. I didn't think Oakland was very effective last year when 'Los lined up at Quarterback. I knew they were going to throw the ball (with Carlos) one or twice a game, but the rest of the time, you could tee off and go get him.

The region would have gotten A LOT more interesting if Lincoln County was added instead of Wilson Central.

This may rub people the wrong way, but I think the Oakland Patriots could be a let down. There is such a drop off from the first team and their back-ups that if any of the starters get injured, they are in trouble.

I think you have to throw Riverdale's name in the list. They are returning alot of players and have great depth. They just seem to reload every year and this year should be the same.

I forgot about Rod Sturdivant. He does do an excellent job.

Is he an assistant coach at Trenton Peabody?

Edministon was picked as the punter? He gets my vote as QB.

I had heard this was going to be Tim Haney's last year coaching. Seems like the Peabody job would be a good one.

I believe Tim Haney at Trenton Peabody does a good job with the kids he has.

I hope the coach is Brent Wilson. I think he got a raw deal at Martin Westview.

Seems like I heard Franklin and Brentwood. There's probably another team like a Hendersonville.

Siegal?

I haven't heard that, but they may not have any recievers. I just don't see how Smyrna can have Wolke in the backfield and not use him by letting him chunk it! I'd love to know how Smyrna's recieving squad is this year.

I really don't know who is (heavily) recruiting Wolke. We all hear stuff about this team and that team, but I don't know for a fact. I think Wolke is the real deal. From watching him the last couple of years, he has a cannon for an arm and seems to be able to take a beating and always pop-up. I think his success this year will strickly depend on his recievers. Because he can launch it all over the field, but if no one catches it, it doesn't matter.

I don't know why he was let back on the team. I can ask around and see what info I can get. My picks: 1. Riverdale - I think their depth is too much for anyone else in the region 2. Oakland - Probably the best starters (position wise) in the region 3. Smyrna - Wolke will be MVP of the region 4. Lebanon - I like the kids they have returning and I like their wide open offense 5. Blackman - They just lost too many athletes 6. LaVergne - No Grimes means trouble 7. Siegal - I can't wait to see which players from Oakland and Blackman are on Siegal. 8. Wilson Central - Wish they could have stayed in 4A for a couple more years.

Seems Germantown just reloads. I'm not expecting as much out of Jackson Central Merry this year. They lost too much talent.

I thought that I had heard that the C.J. kid quit the team on more than one occasion last year.

That sounds about right. I think it was 1995.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know you will), the last time Gibson County had an average team was the year John Tucker coached them, and I think they only won 2 or 3 games that season. (2nd round of the playoffs)
