  1. Hmmmm maybe I should clarify my she/he and not be so chauvinistic and refer to everyone as "he" or "him". Also doing the best with what "they" have I think there are several schools that do excellent with what "they" have when "they" are well coached. I am very sorry if you have a chip on your shoulder but this was NOT and I repeat NOT intended to step on anyones feet I was ONLY expressing my opinion and that Mr/Mrs. is what I have a RIGHT to do!! As far as "knowing" who I am, I think you might be way off base (no pun intended there). Now as far as your other posts in the other forum it wouldn't be hard to know who you are! Now are you the 14 year old that you refer to yourself as being! In reading your other posts it is apparent you thrive on confusion and controversy! Now you have a nice day! thumb
  2. To let you know first off YES originally from Middle Tenn then moved to West Tenn in 2003 and back to Wilson Co. in late 2004. Have a daughter that played softball in Wilson Co. then she played in the West (Lexington Lady Tigers). I have made several friends in the Wilson Co area as I did in Lexington and YES I keep close touch with those friends and THIER children. I have NEVER mentioned ANYONES name in a NEGATIVE manner nor do I intend on it. I NEVER mentioned ANYTHING about the team or Coach in question being anything other than in Wilson Co. I am aware that you have several schools located there. I too wish you Good Luck and to also have a Nice Day!
  3. Believe me a coach exits like that! Leadership begins and ends with the COACH. When players witness a coach running his own team in the ground what else can he expect from them???????? If a team has leadership and someone that KNOWS the game then there is absolutly NOTHING that should keep the player (players) from stepping up and being LEADERS. When you have NOTHING to begin with then it is awful hard to get it during the beginning, middle or end of a season. You have got to have leadership and guidance from your coaches or you have NOTHING at all but a team loaded with talent and NO WHERE to go.
  4. Not slighting Beech in any way form or fashion. They are a great team and Cassie is in no doubt a stand up player both on the mound and in the batters box. She has great leadership and is wonderful at getting the job done. They also have a great coach. My prior comment was directed at another program AAA located in Wilson Co. Congratulations Beech
  5. What do you all think?
  6. That's the way it should be done but just like you said if the child/player belongs to Joe Blow or his brothers daughter's cousin, etc. then the politics comes into play and usually NOTHING is done about it. If you have the rules then ENFORCE them or do away with them all together. If I were a parent of a child on that team I would push this to the highest and make sure that something is done.
  7. LOL seen that post as well Was going to comment on it but didn't wanna be the first so I am glad you stepped up to the plate. he he! Coach T needs to add spell check to this seems too many people get roster and rooster confused! Have a great one all!
  8. Yeah it was the black haired girl that said what the **** is he (the umpire) looking for, etc. she said it to the 3rd baseman/pitcher and then they laughed. Such poor sportsmanship and lack of character. Makes me proud to know that my daughter doesn't have to be around girls like that on a regular basis. If I were the AD for Blackman I would have to think twice about allowing her to try out for ANY sport affiliated with the school. Girls like that leave a really bad taste in your mouth and it sure gives the other schools and players something to talk about. You should always lead by example and this is a clear situation where there is NO leadership!!
  9. This one kicked off did she play 3rd and also pitch?
  10. Seems that particular father has not only acted up during the Riverdale/Blackman game but many others as well. I witnessed the 3rd baseman/pitcher and another pitcher actually laugh at the umpire when they didn't get a called strike. The dark headed (black haired) pitcher said "what the f**k" is he looking for those are strikes". I could hardly believe my eyes and ears, then while batting there was a strike called on her and she said "s**t" and rolled her eyes then proceeded to laugh at the ump. How pathetic is that! Someone needs to take some kind of control. Because it is apparent that the parents aren't doing anything to correct it!
  11. I know there is a difference between being very competitive and having a p*** poor attitude! I have witnessed several players from Blackman using foul language after striking out or not getting a strike called while pitching. The attitudes that some of these girls have is totally uncalled for. It makes the other members of the team look horrible. Coaches need to start sitting those kinds of players on the bench a few times and maybe that would teach them alittle respect. It kinda makes you wonder .....how and why they get by with acting like they do.
  12. Well said. JEALOUSY can cause some folks to do just about ANYTHING!
  13. From reading these posts I must agree with both of you guys. First being removed from coaching at a particular school for whatever reasons must have been difficult and having to look your sucessor and the boys you coached in the eyes must have been hard. However one must remember Coach Sloan DID coach these young men and should have taken pride in thier accomplishments. Shaking ones hand after a game shows true sportsmanship and class. As long as these young men (players) shook hands and showed class is really ALL that matters. Parents need to support thier kids coaches but also have enough respect for themselves to discuss any issues with the coach face to face and not in a public forum. GOOD LUCK to you ******* Lincoln County and Lebanon ******* this is your game so play it with pride and show class both on and off the field.
  14. These fine ladies are very good pitchers however there are ALOT more out there that get overlooked. You tend to always read about the pitchers from the BIG schools or the ones that have had state championships..........but what about the teams that win because of the young lady on the mound. I also think that a few more could be added to this list for example - Kristi Cunningham (very good - very under rated) Meghan Maynard (very good - very young - under rated also) Jennifer Brewington (very good - very under rated) Paige Pyburn (very good) Courtney Carr There are alot of young ladies deserving of best pitchers in the mid state......we should learn more about ALL of them. These ladies deserve "recognition" as well. Most girls can "throw" the ball to batters however it takes a good pitcher to "pitch" the ball to batters. There is a difference between "throwing" and "pitching", just ask Cheri Kempf @ Club K! Have a wonderful day folks!
  15. NOT MALICIOUS GOSSIP I was there and heard it myself.
  16. Oh okay.......what ever you say.......... I was there and heard for myself. I have no clue about either of these two teams other than what I heard on Saturday. We are from West Tennessee. I went to the concession stand then as always went to check out the other games going on, that is how I heard the conversations and statements being made. As far as Wilson Central having players missing, I really couldn't tell you all that I DO know is that I pray my daughter and her team along with our parents that we do not lower ourselves to the tacky remarks that were made. Now you too Have a wonderful day!
  17. Before today's game between Lebanon and Wilson Central I heard several parents joking about kicking Lebanon's rear end so that they would have "ANOTHER" opportunity to "beat" Goodpasture. Well that wasn't the case............................ I returned several times during the game to watch a very under rated LEBANON beat Wilson Central. Lebanon went on to play Goodpasture (and lost) but was able to hold their heads high. Congratulations Lebanon and your coaches on showing parents that it is the girls that play the game not them. I went on to tell my daughters team and parents that I hoped we never lowered ourselves to the level of the parents on Wilson Centrals team, they at times went too far with their remarks and it came back and bit them in the rear end!
  18. hmmmmmmmmm was hoping someone would know now instead of having to wait! Surely there is someone relating to some of the schools that know something. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  19. What is the current ranking in this district? Someone is not keeping up with posting the stats (j/k) could or would someone please post! Thanks
  20. Something EVERY player should take on the field with them.......We should ALL "Thank GOD" for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us. When I hit the dirt I will remember just how lucky and blessed I really am. Thank you "Blacksheep" for your poem.

******************************************************************** I totally agree..........GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE.......................I have seen firsthand the lengths that some parents and players will go to, to cause problems for Coach Messer. A few players (seniors I might add) get cut from the team during fall ball for drinking alcohol then have to "try-out" for the spring season then he gets on to one of those players for "not stepping up" the player cusses and get's sent to the locker room.............player quits.........parents just dont understand why.............(oh my...my kid would NOT do that, lol) well so much for all that................if Coach Messer was SO bad then he wouldn't be able to field a team to begin with..........let him coach, cheer for the team and GET OVER IT........GOOD LUCK LEBANON BLUE DEVILS.........

Definitley gotta be a parent that is upset over thier kid not playing. Coach Messer is unlike the previous coach I can already tell.................he's not putting in someone just because thier parents donate the BIG BUCKS or hold a position on the booster club. CUDO's for ya coach for playing the ones that deserve to play. Lebanon keep your chins up ! Things are gonna get better.......
