  1. You are still adding in all the sacks in the second half when we had to throw. Macon had 25 yards rushing on the first two drives. I am not sure what you all are trying to accomplish. TC won. TC was going to win all along. But you can’t get on here and say that Macon didn’t have a great gameplan, take it to you in the first half, and barring a rainstorm it would have been 7-0 at worst going into halftime. The rain didn’t change the win or loss column, but it did affect Macon’s offense much more than TC’s.
  2. Your view is also out of the rain. Macon never threatened after the rain started, but they moved the ball a bit in the first and second quarter. MC struggles in the second half, but like I said the game plan had to change due to the score. If it doesn’t rain, TC leads 7-0 at most at the half and Macon could continue eating clock and grinding it out in the second half. Instead they were down multiple scores and had to try and open things up. That worked into TC’s favor. We had no chance of protecting our QB from your pass rush and a three step drop was all we were going to get. Macon wasn’t going to win, but the game was definitely closer than anyone really thought it would be.
  3. The 30 to 30 was one drive. The other drive was 25 yards or so. That would be 65 yards minimum. That doesn’t count penalties and things of that nature. Again, we had about 80 yards total offense when the rain started and a TD dialed up on a pass to our sideline had the ball not fluttered due to the rain. I thought this would be a 40-50 point beat down and it wasn’t. MC wasn’t going to win, but to say the weather didn’t hurt MC is just not true.
  4. TC defense is good. Nobody coming out of woodworks. Only one posting is me. I made a comment on the game from the fence in the end zone and TC people want to disagree with what I saw with my own two eyes. TC is good, just not what I thought they were.
  5. We can get together for a math competition if you want as well. I promise you don’t want that either. The 30 to 30 would be 40 yards. We had two first downs and and ended up with a fourth and 5, so that would be 65 yards minimum for those two drives. I will say Macon had around 80 yards of total offense when the rain started.
  6. No issues with me. I think we all knew Macon was down. TC was the favorite for the 2A crown. I thought so as well. This TC team has not improved since last year and the blame for that falls squarely on the head coach. I look for TC to once again bow out in the second or third round of the playoffs this year. Make no mistake, they have the talent to win it all. If you can’t get up for the Macon game after losing two in a row, then you have a huge problem.
  7. Well we had two first downs on the first drive and took possession of the ball on the 30 and moved it to the TC 30 on the second drive. That is about 80-90 yards. I put my name on my posts and stand by what I have said. I will gladly meet you and watch the film and we can go over each play if you want. Again, MC was never going to win, but don’t get on here pounding your chest over this victory. Good thing you all dodged us in 2015 and 2016. We would have showed you what an ugly loss really looks like.
  8. So you are saying the rain had no affect on the punt block or fumble? You are kidding yourself. I will give you the punt. The fumble was definitely weather related, gave you a short field, and gave you a 14-0 lead at half. Take that away and TC is up 7-0 at half. The ball could have been intercepted, but it wasn’t. Macon had a TD dialed up on a pass play after the rain started and the wet ball fluttered out of the QB’s hand. Fact is TC is not what I thought they were. Waggoner had this game circled for a year and couldn’t get his team up? Sounds like you have an issue there...
  9. Those stats are misleading as it accounts for the sacks in the second half. Macon had close to 100 yards of offense when the rain started midway through the second quarter. That is just another example of how the rain affected the game. Macon couldn’t do anything once the rain started. That is part of football and hats off to TC for being prepared for the rain, but I can guarantee Coach Waggoner is glad that rain cloud came or he would have been sweating bullets at halftime. After Macon got down 14, they had to abandon the game plan because they weren’t going to score many points grinding it out like they did early on. That played right into TC’s favor.
  10. You are a complete idiot. I will not say Macon would have won at all, but if anybody can watch that game and honestly say the rain didn’t hurt Macon then you are living in la la land. Macon had the ball on the TC 30 midway through the 2nd quarter in a 0-0 game and driving when the rain started. They had a good shot at scoring on that drive. The rain led to two quick turnovers by Macon and to 14 quick TC points. As I said, TC should have been up 7-0 at most at half and it could have been 7-7. TC won the second half hands down, but the score should have been 21-0 or 21-7. That is still a loss but definitely not what anyone thought it would be. Hats off to Coach Shoulders and staff. Excellent game plan and great effort by an outmatched team. If they can replicate that moving forward they could win a few more games.
  11. Weather is a big factor. If it doesn’t rain score is 7-0 or 7-7 at half. The rain came at just the right time for TC. 28-0 now end of 3. Macon had a great game plan and performed much better than I thought they would. TC without 2 or 8 will not win a state championship. Score will end up being much worse than the game was.
  12. Really surprised by this outcome. Not that Watertown won, but by that spread. I had seen both Gordonsville and Watertown scrimmage and thought Gville had a shot. It sounds as if I underestimated Watertown up front. They may have a little something for TC in a couple of weeks.
  13. Croz, you do not want to get into a shootout with this team. If the score goes much higher than this, it definitely plays into Watertown’s favor.
  14. You are so intellectually astute that you didn’t know there is no protection from intentional grounding if the QB is outside of the pocket? That statement alone let’s me know you watch football on television, but have little knowledge of coaching or high school football rules. All I am saying is Shelbyville is going to be a top tier 5A football team and if Tullahoma can stay within 18 points they will do just fine against 4A competition. I do understand their region is tough, but they will still compete with every team in the region and would be a top tier team in many other 4A regions. I was not at the game, so I can’t analyze. I can state with certainty the QB didn’t throw the ball away because it would have been intentional grounding. I don’t like to see high school kids criticized on an anonymous message board over a rule interpretation that is wrong.
  15. This game comes down to DB play by Gville. If they can limit Watertown in the passing game, they can win this. The weather also works in Gvilles favor. I was really impressed with the Gville kicker. With all that being said, Watertown has weapons all over the field. Taking all of this into account, I am taking Gville 24-21.
  16. I love armchair quarterbacks. Do you realize there is no “tackle box” in high school football? Any ball thrown not in the direction of a WR is Intentional Grounding. Shelbyville is going to be a really good team this year. Tullahoma will be just fine in 4A if they can play them as close as they did. Sounds like the lightning took the wind out of Tullahoma’s sails so to speak. Support the team and coaches and I promise you it will work out better than getting on here and criticizing everything they do.
  17. So are the people in the community willing to let the admin run roughshod over a hometown guy or are they going to question this and get some results?
  18. You are still hiding behind a screen name... but I do agree the Admin looks to be the biggest problem. I wish I had the details, but unfortunately Micah doesn't even have those. i can say it was unjust because if they had a good reason it would have been in the press release.
  19. I am on here to back up someone who deserves some backing. I do not hide behind a screen name and to my knowledge have not "bad mouthed" anyone. I simply said whoever was behind this witch hunt should apply for the job and I will stand by that. This is an open public forum. I know Micah and the person he is and know for a fact this firing was unjust. You call my conversations "like a teenager" yet you are the one resorting to name calling. I have laid out who I am and have made over 200 posts on this website since 2003 with my name attached to my posts. This is all speculation, but the inept administration could end all of this by citing specific reasons for the dismissal. All they can point to is a press release that says "it was time for a change." They are right, but the change should be the firing of the AD and principal and reinstatement of a coach. You are right every admin does face pressure from the community, fortunately most admins have the backbone to do their job properly and put the parents in their place. That does not appear to be the case in Loretto.
  20. I don't think that is calling anyone out. I will stand by my statement and say IF he or any other parent is responsible then by all means apply. Thankfully, I am in no way affiliated with this community. Nicholas23 called him out, so your beef is with him. If you don't like what I have to say, then don't read it. Of course the AD and principal done the firing, but you can't honestly sit there and say it was of their own doing. I say shame on all parties involved.
  21. You do realize the purpose of message boards right? I am 35 years old and live about 3 hours from Loretto. I mean you must be real brave creating your fake ID and then calling me out. LOL! I will back Micah as a person and coach no questions asked. I don't have any clue to who was behind the firing, but I will say if it is parents then the AD and principal should both be fired and those parents should learn their role in the whole process. You are a parent, not a coach. These high school coaches are not making millions to deal with your spoiled, disrespectful kids. They are normal people trying to do a job to the best of their ability, which in this case was a pretty good job. Receiver "David" if you will point me in the direction of who was behind the firing, then I will gladly direct my comments toward them. Nicholas23 is the person to imply parents were involved, so maybe you should direct your comments toward him. In the meantime, Loretto will gradually fall back to where they belong which is the bottom of the barrel of high school basketball. Five years from now when the band director is leading your team, people will be wishing Micah was still around. quote name="reciever14" post="3646709" timestamp="1485535059"] My bad sir William. I will put this in better terms. Instead of throwing shade at a grown man over the interwebz, why don't you go and air everything out in person. Ya know, like men do. Unless you are a high school student or younger. In that case, carry on young fellow.
  22. I think my full name is at the bottom of all my posts genius. I have no reason to hide, so in case you can't see it my name is Will Taylor.
  23. I don't know many small town schools willing to run off a coach coming off a state tournament berth and a sectional berth. As for control of the team, I am not sure what that even means. I have not seen Loretto in the news for hazing or players getting suspended. I will say this, if the players are representations of their parents he may not have control. The trouble is, they could hire Phil Jackson and no respect for the coach would be shown. It all starts at home folks. If MLB money wants to coach basketball, I guess he should apply when the job opens up.
  24. This is becoming more and more prevalent in high school sports. If the team wins it is all the players, and if they lose the coaching sucks. If Loretto is willing to do this to a hometown guy then they will do this to anyone. I have no respect for parents or administrators that act this way. Rochester was brought in for a job and judging by recent seasons had done a good job. I hope he lands somewhere else and goes back to beat the breaks off Loretto. I don't wish this on the kids, but for the sake of the people making these decisions, I hope they go back to like it was before Rochester arrived and you win 5-7 games a year.
  25. You are right. TC was a little young, but definitely not down. By the end of the year they were a very dangerous team.
