how good is boyd this year, i haven't been able to see them play?

sorry for the misunderstanding, but i was using the word "dominate" to mean that they were basically in control of the game for most of the time, i hope you understand what i was tryin to say now, cleveland still played a great game and all credit goes to them, i just think at bradley their players will be more confident with their shots and stuff and they will win by about 10, thats all.

like i said, bradley went through a couple of times where they had mental breakdowns for like a minute at a time and made a few turnovers and let cleveland back in it, and thats not to even mention the lay ups and free throws they missed, that is how i can say they dominated the game

that triple overtime game is misleading, it seemed to me that bradley dominated most of the game, and just had a couple bad minutes when cleveland make a quick run to get back in the game, and then they missed many crucial free throws and layups that would have put the game away easily, from what i saw in that game bradley is clearly the better team.

I'm definitely goin with Bradley...I'd say by 12 or more

ok saders, geez like I have already said, I never said that Caleb was a bad player so just get over that, if thats not good enough for you then I apologize just end that, and I'm sorry if we let personal problems get in the way of our game at the beginning of the year, but we're not the only team in history that has happened to it happens quite a lot actually, I'm not even using that as an excuse that yall beat us, you guys beat us fair and square, I never disagreed with that, all I was tryin to say was that our team is now on a little roll and have been playing "team" basketball now, and we weren't at that point in the season, and I was just sayin that to someone that was tryin to make it sound that we weren't a good team, which our record says we aren't but that isn't true, we haven't lost a game by more than 10 pts except to Cleveland, and that was without arguably our most dominant player Sherman Moton because he had just broken his cheek bone the day before, and that game was within 3 pts until 3 minutes left in the game, then we started fouling/fell apart, etc. That is all I have to say though, and I don't care how many colleges I have looking at me, that doesn't mean I won't play college basketball b/c I would most definitely love to it would be nice if there were colleges wanting me and I want to find out those that would, but I have other plans for my future, I'm sorry, I just have a passion for basketball and enjoy playing it and happen to be ok at it and thats why I continue playing. Yes, losing Ellison may hurt some, but I don't believe it will hurt all that much, I mean some times he tries to take over the game himself and we all know how that can go, this isn't to take anything away from him b/c he is good and has has had a good season, but we still have plenty of talent coming back next year, and then a few other role players like brandon smith and brandon brown that Fanatic failed to mention, I believe that Ooltewah will be able to play with anyone in the area next year, including Cleveland and Bradley, hopefully we will get them both on our schedule. Yes, he is a good player, I never said that he was a bad player, I just didn't say he was a great player, I'm sorry if you thought I was tryin to diss him, I was just acknowleding how good Jake was, and how much better I think the youngest will be.

Yes thats true, but that was at the beginning of the season that they beat us, and we were having many personal problems within our team/coaching, now that everything is worked out we have been on a roll, winning 3 of 4 and beating brainerd (the #2 team in our district) at Brainerd, and tonight we just got done handin it to Central who is 17-3 and the #1 team in our district, so we'll just see what happens next year when Temple visits Ooltewah. 4 hours until game time, Central had a nice win over Hixson last night where they actually scored more than 40 pts, that amazes me, can't wait until tonight to see this rivalry played out.

well as a matter of fact i will go ask his aau coach considering i played on the same chattanooga steam, except it was the 16 year old team, and one time we were waitin for practice and the 15 year olds needed one more person for a scrimmage the dude who was runnin their practice asked me to fill in since he actually knew my name, and I agreed since i was just sittin there anyway, but caleb was having to guard me, and i just tore him up basically, I am not bragging or anything if it seems that way, and I know that I am on the older team than him but this is high school basketball and you have to play older people, but I just tore him up offensively and defensively, and a friend of mine on my school team played against our 15 yr old aau team with his team, and they beat them by 20 and said skogen did nothing but complain, so don't tell me I made a stupid comment until you can back it up with something that you actually know, b/c I know how good people can play that I have played against, but I never said he was a horrible player like you guys are makin it out to seem, I said he was pretty good, just not that great, so get off me.

yes, i definitely agree about demonte bolden this kid is huge, and just think he used to play basketball, think if him and his 250 lbs were still out on the court, wow

yeah, well enough about the gym, i just can't wait for the game to be played, its gonna be crazy, talk about a rivalry, these 2 schools are gonna be goin at it, and the fans will be goin crazy for both teams, it should be a fun game...and all i can keep thinkin about is poor #23 from central when he was goin up for a lay up against red bank and ben britt came flyin across and threw that ball all the way in to the stands, i am embarassed for that kid

i disagree with the statement that caleb skogen can ball, he might be an alright player and has some real good nights, but he isnt really all that great, he will never be as good as jake, this doesn't mean he didn't have a good game against boyd b/c he did.....but i have been watching the youngest skogen and he impresses me a lot, even though he is in the 8th grade i believe, but i am looking forward to seeing how he comes along in the next few years, but i just don't see it in caleb skogen [Edited by mnewballer21 on 2-12-03 4:25P]

yeah i agree with train, they did get into the heads of some of the soddy players, especially that poor little michael eldridge, he did nothin to us, and they just kept gettin on him, and i mean he can't weigh more than 90 lbs, and you guys think he is good, he is just a sophmore, but our sophmores are much better.

and don't forget that ooltewah is mostly sophmores and juniors, they aren't even gonna be losing someone like lance sexton for next year

I'm going to pick Bradley to take it all in AAA, but look for Ooltewah to possibly upset some teams who were lookin to go deep into the tournaments and knock them out, it should be interesting, i can't wait

oh yes, no need to overlook that fact, tonight central struggled to beat red bank at home in overtime by a score of 48-44, yes that score is right it was 48-44 in overtime, and in a recent game against soddy, central won by the score of 37-35, these seem like girls scores if you ask me, but we will see what happens on tuesday

Ooltewah's team has been improving lately, and i'd look for them to surprise some teams near the end of the season and come tournament time, and since they are so young definitely look for them to be back next year.

and you can't forget that it is Ooltewah's last home game of the season and for their lone senior, so they could be more pumped, can't wait to see what happens

well i hear the ooltewah fans are gettin pretty upset about their lack of respect and are ready for this game, guess we will have to see

yeah right, this kid is weak, he might weigh 120 pounds at the most, i just don't see how you can see he is a really good player at all, he did nothing against us
